We went to H&M to put together a birthday outfit for my sister-​in-​law. The clothes are cute– just her style. The store is clean with a nice easy layout. However– the checkout girl was super rude, unhelpful and overall disinterested.

I first discovered H&M while living in Dayton — not because Dayton has any but because I kept seeing ads for the ones opening here in Columbus. I would peruse their website and dream of the day I would be able to shop at one. Well, I’m here to say, I love H&M. Affordable clothes in cute stylings. Can’t be beat.
That being said, I’m unimpressed by this particular location. It’s incredibly small compared to the others in the area. It’s smallness means it feels even more cramped than H&M normally does. The racks looked terribly picked over and organized and I went in on a slow day, no excuse. The staff wasn’t exactly friendly either. In fact, I might call one or two of the girls giving me dirty looks down right rude. I promise I was just browsing quietly and minding my own business. What was with the attitude?

I’m kind of a plain T-​shirt and jeans kind of guy. These T-​shirts rock! Tons of colors, they’re cut slim/​fitted for my thin ass, and they’re like $ 6! Can’t get much better then that. I sitll have to check out the other stuff they have, but it looks good.

I really like their style, but the fit is usually not great for me here. I’ve gotten great life out of their product though, especially for the price. I’m really glad that they have mens clothing here now too.

When I first started shopping at H&M, I was living in Chicago. Then I moved to Columbus & was overjoyed when one opened at Tuttle. For years, I made the much longer trip to Tuttle just for H&M. However, it’s gone downhill. They recently added a men’s section thereby eliminating close to ¼ of their women’s clothing. AND they got rid of the lingere section. Maybe I’m older, maybe H&M has changed, but I don’t think I’ll be going to this H&M anymore.

You know, I know this may be pretty crazy to say, but I’m not a huge fan of this location. The NYC location (right next to the Empire State Building) is still my favorite. I can never find anything to-​die-​for here nor do I seem to catch the store during one of the great sales that I always find in NYC. H&M is great, just not this one.
