Ballantrae Park

We also call this the Bunny park. Awesome place to bring your kids to cool off in the summer. A bunch of fountains that cycle at different heights and waterfalls. There are a few picnic tables for seating or you can find some places to sit on the rocks off the side of the waterfalls. It would be nice if they had a few gazebos or covered area for parents. The water feels great! I end up getting all wet with my son. Layout is perfect. If you’re sitting on the side you can see everything. Occasionally the ice cream truck or a slushy truck will be parked in the parking lot. This park is tucked back off avery road backed up to nice housing complex of Keller Williams in Dublin. I recommend this place. awesome experience and safe area!

Splash Park Fun! This is a nice place to let your little ones run around at. They need a nice gazebo/​pavilion built close to this place so the parents can relax in the shade. The fountains run on a cycle and go at different heights. They also have some waterfalls. There isn’t much else to the park but it does border Balgriffin Park which includes disc golf, playground, tennis, and a nice walking area.

I’ve never been here when the splash park is turned on so I can’t speak to the fun level of it. However, it looks like they are doing some renovations to it so I suppose that means it will be slightly new and improved when it opens in a couple weeks.
For me, however, the draw is the dancing bunnies. They’re kinda creepy but in a good way. In my darker moments, I imagine that they come alive at night to protect the west side of Dublin from an invasion of mobile concrete corn.
I do think that the top of the hill is one of the best places to watch the sunset in town. Certainly the most unique place.

Our girls call this «Bunny Park». It is affectionately named after the «Dancing Hares» sculpture by London artist Sophie Ryder. The sculpture, which can easily be seen from the street, adorns the very tippy top of the Dublin splash park hill. We like to hike up to it before we get wet and see what new items we can spot in the sculpture.
This splash park is maybe ¹⁄₃ of the size of Bicentennial Park on the Scioto Mile. Water streams from dozen or so little holes in the ground and there is a little waterfall.
The handful of umbrella picnic tables are always taken. There are large rocks in the grassy area headed towards the road to sit on, but these are completely in the sun.
There is a small bathroom adjacent to the parking lot. No vending machines (that I know of).
All-​in-​all, it is a great little get-​a-​way in the neighborhood. Our girls love it and an hour here can fly by easily. The girls never want to leave and are always happy to earn a trip to The Bunny Park!!!

Affectionately known as the «bunny park,» this place is a good park to take the kids and let them cool off for free. This park is one of the handful of splash parks in town, not unlike Centennial on the Scioto Mile. Ballantrae is less interesting than the Centennial but more accessible due to plenty of free parking and not being downtown for us suburbanites. It has a handful of fountains and a nice little waterfall to splash around in. I only wish that there were more shaded areas to sit in. They do have a couple of tables with umbrellas but these are always taken. Planting some trees in the giant field would go a long way for parent satisfaction.
Overall though, cool water, plenty of space, and Dublin’s finest stay-​at-​home-​mom eye candy (sorry hunny!) makes for an enjoyable time for the whole family.
