This restaurant is very nice and very clean. The Mexico décor was fun. The Mexican food has been Americanized to suite the none Hispanic clientele. Our food was good and the total bill was only $ 17,85 for two people including desert.

It’s pretty run of the mill non-authentic Mexican food. It’s good, don’t get me wrong. But it’s very American. Food is always hot, you get great portion sizes, and they will keep your chips & salsa refilled at all times. When getting takeout, they tell you it typically takes 20 minutes. But I don’t think I’ve ever gotten there and my food been ready. I don’t mind waiting a few minutes extra, since it means it’s fresh, but it’s annoying sometimes.

Ok Mexican food. Not great. Not impressed. The servers were attentive. Prices are decent. I went here in a group don’t think I’d visit alone. Authentic Mexican food is served up here. Do not expect the Americanized Mexican dishes like those served up out west. There are simply better places to eat Mexican.

We easily eat at Don’s 3 – 4 times a month and have been doing so for over five years. I don’t recall ever having a bad meal. The food is good(I recommend the Tacos de Carne Asada) and the service is too. It can be on the relaxed(slower) side when it’s busy. We’ve eaten there enough that most of the staff knows our family and our usual orders.

To start off, as soon as we sat down the waitress asked if we wanted menus. What? How else would we know what they offer so we could order? I’m sure some of the regular locals don’t need a menu, but we’d never been there before. When I asked if the guacamole was freshly made, she said«What?» I repeated the question. She stared at me for a few seconds, then said«Everything here is freshly made.» Okay, showing a little attitude, are we! We should have left then. But we did order and eat some of what we were served. My husband’s carnitas dinner was a huge hunk of pork that tasted like it had been boiled, no spices or flavoring and it was dry. My chile rellenos(that were called something else I can’t remember on the menu, and the waitress was impatient with me for not knowing they were the same thing), were pretty good, but not the best I’ve ever had. The guac was blended smooth, not chunky to show it was really from avocados, and probably stretched by adding sour cream, with not much flavor. The waitress never came back to check on us, to see if we wanted our water refilled or if I wanted another beer, and we had to flag her down to get our check. What with the mediocre food and the waitress’ attitude, plus the cashier was too busy talking on his cell phone to take our money, we won’t be back.
