Pilot Oil Corporation

On my way from Pittsburgh to NYC, the Megabus makes a stop here. It was around 4am, so I couldn’t see what was around. But the gas station had wha thou would expect in snacks. Also it is attached to a Subway, and yes, it was open at 4am. The bathroom was clean and the attendant was super nice :)

This is a meh stop on travels to/​from state college. the subway does not have iced tea (use the other places), there is an emphasis on the use of a pilot card. There is a wide choice of snacks, which is good, and there is the food truck, which we were not sure about until we Unilocaled it (should have had it instead!). In reality, a meh-​3 star, but I think on balance it is better rounded to 2 stars. I think we can do better when travelling, and they could pick up their game.

If a Megabus wants to drop me off here to stretch my legs, I’ll allow it.
This place really does get crowded with people browsing for snacks. The coffee here taste pretty fresh and it’s super cheap.
I like the flavor shots that you can add to your soda.
When I stopped through here once, a man exclaimed that he’d never seen a double-​decker bus bus before. It really is in the middle of nowhere, but the prices here are super cheap.

Fantastic service. The gas station workers let the Mega Bus riders use the special shower bathrooms to help alleviate the congestion in the women’s room. It was really thoughtful and led to a shorter wait.

The Megabus stops here as a rest stop for it’s runs between NYC and Pittsburgh. In all honesty, this Pilot can’t quite handle all of the traffic that comes through it. It’s very small, and if you see the bus here, just go somewhere else. Otherwise, it’s fine for a quick stop.
–The bathrooms only have 3 stalls, and this just isn’t enough if a bus comes in. However, they are usually clean. You can also shower here.
–There is quite a few food options for just being a mini mart. The have hot dogs, taquitos, sausages, nachos, yogurt, and lots of candy and snack foods. There are plenty of drink options as well. There is also a Subway attached to the Pilot with quite a bit of seating.
–There are only 6 or so car parking spots. There is plenty of room for trucks, but frequently people pull in and park at the gas pumps. But there are 4 or 6 pumps so this place is a little zoo like sometimes.
–A few picnic benches are outside
