Fantastic hidden gem. Great prices and service. Food was delicious and good portion size. It seems they do a good take-out business but I’m not sure why there is not a line outside the door. The interior is also very nice. BYOB.

I tried Thai Aroy Dee due to another Unilocal review from a fellow non-meat eater. I tried the Pumpkin Curry and loved it! Their summer rolls were also really fresh and delicious. It’s the best Thai food that I’ve had in the Philly area! Fresh food, very clean and quaint location. Try it! I was thinking about their food so much that I went back the following day to try the lunch specials. You get just as much at lunch as you do at dinner, but almost more because you also get a soup plus salad or another appetizer all for $ 7.50. I also like their friendly staff a lot as well.

I came here for the first time on the day after Christmas with my family, and we had the place to ourselves. It’s a solid Thai food place, though I wasn’t too fond of the dish I ordered, which was the Massaman Curry. It was a little soupier than I was expecting. However, the appetizers were great; we had gyoza dumplings, calimari, and spring rolls. My sister-in-law, who lived in Thailand for a time, loved a certain type of soup they offered(the name escapes me) that has a very strong coconut flavor. I tried it, and it was quite good. The servers were attentive, and we all left happy. I’m happy to see a small non-chain restaurant like this in Pilgrim Gardens, and I hope they do well in that location.

Visited this restaurant for the second time today, even better than before! Great food, friendly service, lovely atmosphere. Definitely would recommend. The woman who works at lunch is so nice.

I recently discovered this place on my drive home from work, gave it a try, and have been coming back almost weekly ever since! This place is BYOB and reasonably priced. They also offer pick up and delivery within a reasonable range. Customer service is excellent and orders are always ready on time. I have tried various noodle dishes, the pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, red thai curry, and a few appetizers. My husband and I have not been disappointed by anything ordered. They are located right off of Township Line Road and parking is slanted towards Township Line, so it can be easy to miss open spots. Even if you need to turn around or park on one of the residential roads nearby, the food is well worth it!

This place is amazing every time I order. And they always deliver on time, even when I order for 10 people! I ordered from this place multiple times a month!

Found this 5 month old restaurant while visiting the new CVS across the street. Very happy my wife and I stopped in. The food and friendly service were outstanding. I had the vegetable soup with tofu. Chocked full of fresh vegetables in a tasty vegetable broth. My wife enjoyed her Wonton soup with chicken and shrimp wontons. Again chocked full. All portions here a big and beautifully presented. We shared an order of Summer rolls lettuce, cucumbers, vermicelli noodles basil leaves and chives wrapped in clear rice paper with a side of plum sauce. These were refreshing and tasty. Shared a huge portion of stir fried Thai Asian eggplant with seitan. So much food that even sharing enough for a meal the next day. All fresh and beautifully presented. Finished with a serving of green tea Mochi. Very happy and will certainly return. They have a $ 7.50 lunch special which includes soup and appetizer.

Two orders of Singapore noodles w shrimp and drunken noodles w beef. Delivery and tip $ 50. If it weren’t for the 6 shrimp the Singapore dish would be completely tasteless. No veggies and absolutely no spice just dry noodles. Last time was amazing not sure what happened. When called to say how disappointed we were we were told to try again next time. Riiiiight.

Ordered delivery and the customer service AND food were amazing! We ordered the Crab Rangoon, Phad Thai(extra spicy), and Thai Massaman Curry. When I ask for my food extra spicy it usually isn’t however, this place got it right! Everything was absolutely delicious! They called us to let us know that they were running about 10 mins late for delivery– which was excellent customer service to go the extra mile by giving the customer a call. On top that, they included a free dessert(Sticky Rice Custard) for the inconvenience. **see picture If you like Thai food I recommend you must try this place!

Tried three times, first time ordered for myself as hubby was traveling, pineapple fried rice, spring rolls and lemon grass soup. Rice tasted awful, soup and spring roll were ok. Second time ordered spicey noodles, Thai fried rice and spring rolls. Ok, when reheating the leftovers the following day, decided we didn’t want anything, tossed all remaining food. Decided one last try basil fried rice, Japanese noodle dish, spring rolls. Picked order up to take home. We dished up and both took a couple of bites and decided this isn’t good Thai food we are use to eating, we dumped the entire order in the trash, no more from them, was soooooo hoping we would have a go to place.

This has become our go-to place for Thai takeout or delivery. Standout dishes include their Pad See Ew, Panang Curry, Tom Yum soup, and Larb salads. Delivery is generally no more than 30 – 40 minutes to Havertown and has always been on time and correct. Very nice owners who go out of their way to accommodate unique requests. We haven’t eaten at the restaurant but it would be totally fine for a casual meal.

I’ve lived in the Upper Darby/Lansdowne area for the past five years, but actually only just discovered this place when I moved within walking distance of it. Thai is my favorite kind of food, so of course I had to try it. I was not let down – the crispy tofu and peanut seitan appetizers are amazing. Masaman curry with tofu and pumpkin curry are great entrees. Service is fast and friendly. Food is very cheap! My only qualm was that the actual location smells a bit musty/stale.

I was looking for something new to try and found this place in the mix of Unilocal reviews. I stopped in Sunday night to give it a try. I love Thai food and was hoping this would rank up there with some of my favorites. The reviews looked great so I decided to give it a try. Overall it was ok. Nothing that really blew my mind. I was the only customer there and was able to sit wherever I wanted. The service was good. I had ordered the Tom Kha, Beef Salad, Gyoza Dumplings, and the Drunken Noodles. Whenever I order Thai, I need to order the Tom Kha. I am a hug fan of this soup. Unfortunately this was the one item I ordered that was a total disappointment. It seemed as though it was watered down. You can see in my picture that it had clumps of white stuff floating around in the soup. Normally the broth is smooth and creamy. This was not. Everything else was«ok». Nothing really stood out. The dumplings were a little dry and it was hard to taste any flavor. I asked them to make the salad extra spicy and they nailed it. The drunken noodles were also good. A 3 star review isn’t a bad review from me. It means they were good and I recommend them if you want a quick fix. 4 stars would be exceptional and 5 stars is mind blowing. If you live in the Drexel Hill area, go ahead and give them a try. *edit* Those of you who gave this place raving reviews, I recommend you get out there and try some of the other places that I have reviewed. There are other places that deserve 5 stars much more than Thai Aroy Dee.

Food is delicious and staff was really friendly. What really got me was how the one waitress, Mae, really encouraged me to try other things as opposed to just letting me get the common item among customers, pad Thai. It wasn’t until I visited here that Thai food really grew on me. Definitely recommend the Thai tea for anyone whose never tried it. Sooo good :)

We are always looking for new places for good Thai food. We saw the great reviews and had to stop in. The place is brightly painted in reds and golds with white tablecloths on the tables. A refrigerator case and a television brings the place from formal to casual. The menu is quite extensive with more than 75 offerings. There are mostly Thai selections but the have other Asian items plus they sneak in things like cheesesteak rolls(?!). We shared the spring rolls with pork, the calamari, and the tapioca dumplings. The spring rolls were pretty typical, and the calamari were tender with a unique spicy sauce. The tapioca dumplings were round orbs of pork, nuts, and something sweet in a translucent tapioca coating. Very yummy. For our entrees we had the crispy duck pad Thai. Thus was good although I would have liked a bit more crunch on the duck. One of us ordered the kabochi squash curry with chicken. There are choices if protein and heat levels including mild, medium, hot, and Thai hot. It was ordered medium and was pleasantly spicy. The third entrée was the woo sen but this had a brown sauce which was good. Portions were very generous so we decided to share the coconut custard dessert. This was three small dishes if sweetened tapioca topped with sweetened, thickened coconut milk served warm. Tasty but not quite custard. Service was fine and attentive. Parking can be a challenge as there is only street parking and it abuts a residential neighborhood.

This is a mom and pop place. The family that runs it is really nice, sometimes their kids are there and could be slightly distractive, but mostly under control. Personally I love kids and don’t mind so much, but I know I cannot speak for all. However, with that said it is a very kid friendly place. The décor is very simple, clean, bright and plain. If you’re looking for a romantic feel, definitely not the place. All food on the menu comes with the choice of mild, medium, hot and thai hot spice level. Hot is really really hot. You can also choose no spice level, but this is not applicable to everything on the menu. So far I’ve tried their thai ice tea(my favorite and passed my standards of expectations), beef pad thai, papaya salad-spice level hot, and Tom yum soup-medium. From my experience in thai food, they definitely have their taste down. It’s not overtly over or under seasoned. It’s not oily or dry. To me, it’s perfect like a home cooked thai meal. The price is average, 2 thai ice tea, 3 pad thai, 1 salad, 1 soup, roughly $ 50 not including tip. If you’re in the area and looking for thai food, it’s definitely one of my favorite asian spot!

Excellent Thai food. Fresh and lots of flavor. I like that they ask you how hot you would like your food. Also I ordered pick up for lunch, it was ready in 10 minutes! Meter parking outside of the restaurant. Staff is very friendly! My new favorite Thai place in delco! Will be eating here more often.

The food here is super delicious and a lot more affordable than another Thai restaurant in the area. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was cozy. May, my waitress, was so sweet and attentive and she made me want to come back again ASAP. She recommended several things for me to try and they were all delicious. I will definitely be back here. I’m so glad this place opened up close to my house :)
