Business brought me literally right across the street from the Marathon. I pull up Unilocal and see good ratings. I’m hungry. It’s lunch time. I love Pizza and what’s better than a slice of good pie?
I pop in to get a plain slice and a diet soda. The splice pie isn’t done yet so I wait 8 – 9 minutes.
The result?
A multi-​color cheese slice that falls apart when folding. Not thin crust or crispy. Tasted ok but that’s more so a result of my hunger. Gotta tell it like it is — this is a Mediocre Delco pie.

Marathon is located near the Drexel Hill Junction on Garrett Road. The prices are relatively cheap compared to other pizza places in the area. The food didn’t take long to make, 10 – 15 minutes max, and it wasn’t too bad tasting. However, I ordered a BLT. So, it doesn’t take much to make this. If a pizza shop can somehow mess up a BLT, they should not even be in business. Nevertheless, Marathon did a fine job.
Again, there is nothing remarkable about Marathon to me. If I am nearby and need some food quickly, I would surely come here again.

I love Marathon’s pizza. I have been hooked since my first bite. Even though I live a few towns over and have to pass quite a few pizza places to get there it is always worth the drive. Although I’m hooked on the pizza I have also tried their cheese steaks which are also good. The place, although small, is always clean and doesn’t have that greasy gross smell some pizza places have. Also, the staff whether on the phone or in person are always very pleasant.

This place is awful. Their pizza is boring and totally un memorable, their disco fries were cold and basically mashed potatoes by the time they got to me. Delivery was pretty awful and the preparation of the food was even worse. The only saving grace here is that the manager was very nice when I called to complain. Good job handling customer complaints, bad job doing your actual job.

I love their VEGGIE PIZZA!
Comes with a mountain of veggies, and they are always very accommodating when i swap the olives for spinach. The crust is tasty albeit a bit too greasy hence the 4 stars. Still, for around here it’s a great pie.
I also have tried the chicken fingers with honey mustard and 9⁄10 times they have been awesome too. 1 time the pieces were a bit small and got hard from the frying. Since then they’ve been spot on tho!
Delivery is usually less then 30mins to Lansdowne!

OMG, the best pizza in PA. We order from Marathon at least 3 times a week. Their pizza is the best and I love the crust. I’m not a big fan of their french fries though. I also have to add that they have the nicest, friendliest delivery driver. He always greets us with a smile and a great personality.

I am a HUGE fan of Marathon… I haven’t gotten a bad meal from here yet! My favorite is the Spinach Ravioli with Rosa sauce… But everything is so good that it’s hard to choose!
Also, just have to say that they have THE friendliest delivery driver in the entire world! He is so nice to my dog and the dog gets SO excited when we tell him that the «Food Guy» is coming to see him! He sits by the door with his tail wagging in anticipation!

Ate here twice while at a clients site. Pizza was very good and the cheesesteak was excellent — and the roll for the steak was fantastic!

The food is pretty good for a pizza shop. I’ve gotten the wrap, burger, cheesesteak, and pizza. The price is good and the staff is ok. There are a ton of pizza shops in Drexel hill. This one ranks up there as one of the better ones that I’ve been to.

Just moved to town and have been searching for a good pizza delivery spot. Ordered from here based on the other Unilocal reviewers. Boy did you guys let me down. The pizza here is sub par. Greasy crust, low quality cheese, the only good thing is that it came with garlic sauce.

Best pizza in the neighborhood – hands down! Love it, love it, love it! Extra cheese with pepperoni is to die for. Only drawback is the price, but you have to pay for excellence! In addition, the chicken finger platters are great, and the honey mustard dipping sauce is better than any other I’ve had in the area.

My family eats here quite a bit and we are always pleased with what we order. Salads are huge! So are the strombolis and calzones. Definitely get ready to spend some dough here as the larger sizes are not cheap. And eat the fries right away as they tend to get soft relatively quickly. I am getting hungry just thinking about this place…

Ive been ordering from here for a year or two. The delivery by far is the fastest, the pizza is excellent especially with the garlic sauce when you order a large and the other food is just as good. two thumbs up… now i need to go order some pizza!!!
