C J Wok Sushi

I love CJ Wok! They are the only Chinese place that I order from. Their sushi rolls are pretty good too.

Disappointing. California roll was small and flavorless. Steamed dumplings were comprised of a too-​thick wrapper, short on veggies, and with a faint smell of cleaning product. Sorry to say that we won’t order from here again.

I must say that I have NEVER had a place deliver as quickly as this place. That being said, the food is average Chinese take out place.
I have ordered here a few times, but will never be ordering from again. The reason stems from an unfortunate incident the last time I went. I ordered food for take-​out, and when I got home I noticed that one of the items was missing. Luckily I live in the area, so the drive back was a short one. I was annoyed, of course, but far from angry. Mistakes happen. We are all human. However, to me it is how people correct their mistakes that makes the difference.
When I calmly walked in to notify them they forgot one of my items, I was told I was incorrect, and my food WAS placed in the bag. Ummm,…no. The item wasn’t there. The woman then proceded to tell me it must be there because she remembers making it. Again, no. She may very well have made it, but she certainly didn’t put it in my bag. She must have given it to somebody else. She then attempted to gaslight me by again, telling me the item was in my bag. I told her no. Again.
She then gave me a half-​hearted «sorry» and I then had to wait another five-​ten minutes for my food. I should have been offered a can of soda or something for my troubles. Nothing. Am I being petty? Probably. However, any business should know better. Customers can overlook tiny, correctable mistakes, but make the customer feel better by at least trying to make amends somewhere. This place didn’t.

I ordered pickup sushi from this place thinking, «oh nice a local sushi place». I saw it from the outside and was instantly troubled. Don’t eat the sushi. Trust me. Just don’t do it.

As of today, C J Wok has arrived and Pearl has departed. Pearl is a shell, a building that was housed a Restaurant that could take on Margret Quo and win, as far as i was concerned.
i called, today, to get my Sushi Fix, since Pearl died, i could get good Sushi at Whole Foods. i resorted to getting sushi, with a small s, at those buffets along the Pike. We are not talking about Sushi made by someone who cares; we are talking about sushi made by paycheck not a person.
i know the days of Individuals washing pots and pans before he even saw a grain of rice in the kitchen are far and away from the USA; forget it coming to
DelCo!
i do not know who or how my EEL and CUCUMBER SUSHI was made. i only know that the Eel was Cooked and Presented, in a much better fashion that has not happened in a while.
There is GOOD Sushi out there, Sampan Inn, for one;
but i live in the Lansdowne/​Springfield Area, not Haverford,
a 20 minute car ride away AND they do not deliver.
i, also, ordered the Pork Fried Rice, a favorite of this «ghost», as customers like me are called in China Town. Even the Rice is cooked better here and looks better.
Today, was my FIRST, of many, Home Deliveries.
i have more to choose from and will.
i will return… NOT!!!

with Whole Foods, which is the All Right But Expensive.

Awful. Very mean workers. No heat in winter time. Sushi is NOT fresh or well prepared.

This place is amazing. The staff was very friendly. They delivery are fast. Everything I have eaten was delicious. The price are reasonably.

This place is brutal. I would not trust any food from this place especially raw fish. I don’t understand why there are so many awful Chinese and pizza places in and around drexel hill. Who is eating at these places? How do they stay open?

This was some of the worst Chinese food I have every had. I haven’t been able to eat Chinese food since I eat from here. The delivery was fast that was about it. I had sesame chicken and it didn’t taste fresh and was not white chicken and tasted over cooked. The egg drop soup didn’t even taste good. It was a waste of money and time because I felt sick all night and the next day.

Delivery was quick and food was ok.

Finally… a great place for Chinese delivery! I was hesitant to try it given the poor reviews here, but after trying pretty much every other place in the area and not being satisfied with any of them, I finally decided to give it a shot.
I can’t speak to the location itself, but I can speak to the food and it is hands down the best we have found in 2.5 years that we have lived in the area. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that they use a lot of onions in their fried rice and I’m not a fan.
The food tasted a delicious, was priced super low, and was not at all greasy! Everything we got was cooked well and had great flavor. Plus the portions are huge, especially when you consider how reasonably they are priced.
We agree that this is now our go-​to place for Chinese takeout. Highly recommend!

This place is ok. Nothing around the Area close by for me to compare too. I usually call in for delivery but i was on the way home so i just stopped by. Typical asian restaurant a bit in the rude side taking my order and or asking for suggestions or questions. Food are not bad. Good enough were i order once a while. Will I recommend it? If you feel like delivery i would recommend them. Gave it 2stars because of customer service I received.

I have tried the sushi here a few times. It is not good, and the rest of the food isn’t that great. If you’re starving and that’s the only place then ok but I’d rather get my sushi from somewhere else.

C J Wok used to be Lucky Star. The new owners added sushi but we only tried the new ownership’s Chinese menu.
We gave them several tries on Chinese food. Frankly, they aren’t as good as the folks who ran it as Lucky Star, and they aren’t as pleasant.
We now go elsewhere for our Chinese. Draons II in Drexelbrook is very close to this store and has quite good reviews. At our house, we prefer Jin Garden on Springfield Rd.
If you have tried their sushi, you should review it. Call us close-​minded, but we aren’t interested in trying sushi from a Chinese restaurant.
