I was warned that the customer service is less than sub par, but still had high hopes. BIG mistake. We were the only people there at 5pm and the service was atrocious. The waitress was terrible. We practically had to beg to get drinks or food. She was rude and put out that we were there. My friends kept saying, «wow, this girl really hates us»! I am a big believer in being a big tipper, but how can you justify tipping someone that makes you feel like you’re an inconvenience & need to go. It was a total disappointment. If you want to bowl & have a good time, I suggest anywhere else but this place.

If your going to bowl…$ 34.99 pet hour for adult lanes, it’s good. If you’re going to bowl AND have food with drinks… you’re shit outta luck unless you go in the EXTREME off hours (before 6pm). I RARELY leave less than 20% but this has definitely warranted the rare instance. Food (mac n cheese balls) took over 30 minutes, shots over 15, a simple pitcher… over 10 minutes. Granted, in the busy weekend evening hours, it’s understandable, but this was prior to those hours when the patrons numbered on one hand… it’ll be rare if I/​we go back.

Excellent venue and food. Held our work Christmas party at Pins & Ales, and everyone loved it. Beautiful lanes, TVs all around, music, drinks and more. There is no other place like this in Utah.

Great beer and great service In a classy atmosphere. Very nice furniture, very clean polished restrooms. Roomy bar area and very nice big screen TV. A really nice bar, feels very high-​end.

Awful. Waited a half hour for a drink at the bar. Two hours to bowl. Would have felt bad for the staff if they weren’t so rude, they only had a few bartenders for a busy Saturday night. There are better options for a night out, but a longer drive. The bowling itself is fun, but prepare for a wait. And the «DJ» says he takes requests, but we never heard a single song we asked for. The music and wait was reminiscent of being freshly 21, when terrible music and lots of makeup and heels made me a cool person. Now, I want to enjoy myself and actually get a drink without feeling like my cleavage is the reason for any special treatment.
After we finally got the bartender’s attention, my friend set her drink on the counter as she paid the bill. The bartender then started clearing empty glasses off the bar, and grabbed her mostly full one and put it in the huge stack of dirty dishes in the bussing tray. That’s a mistake that can happen when the place is so busy. However, when we flagged him down to point out the mistake, he reached into the dirty dishes and pulled out a half-​full drink that may or may not have been hers. No apology, didn’t pour a new one, and he took off before we had a chance to request a new one. Gross!
At the end of the night, I got to witness a girl being assaulted by a man in the bathroom. Not exaggerating, a girl was vomiting, and a man came in and started beating her until we alerted management. I am NOT a fan of this establishment, it’s a wannabe Draper bar. For a better night, get a bottle of whiskey at the liquor store and stay home. Or head to almost any bar, anywhere near here, and you’ll save your sanity.

If décor, ambience, and the food menu were the only things to consider, I would rate this bar/​adult bowling alley much higher. However, the lack of customer service at this bar left a lot to be desired.
I was promptly greeted and the younger blonde bartender was attentive and helpful in explaining what I could order and take out into the all-​ages section of the bowling alley. But when my friend joined me a little bit later, he did not receive the same prompt service. The bartender who had taken care of my drink order was off in the bar attending to other patrons, and a long-​haired woman who seemed to be managerial staff wouldn’t even look at him and busied herself with helping people who’d come up to the bar minutes after he had.
If the second bartender had simply addressed him with a smile and said someone would be right with him, it would have been a better experience for him in the bar. Not acknowledging someone you obviously know is there is not good customer service. Finally the bartender who’d assisted me with drinks returned and took his order.
We’re likely to return because it’s a pretty cool place, but some of the wait staff here needs to work on their interactions with guests.
I also highly recommend that beer lovers stay away from any of the Bonneville Brewery beers; they are disgusting. I ordered a pale ale and it had the most bitter aftertaste. Stick to hard liquor here, or the bottled beers like Heineken and Stella.

Not the greatest services i would have got faster service at the hospital next door. 3 ½ hr for a picture of over price beer plus burgers which was above average and no bowling was a waiting list.

this place is awesome. super classy bar and lounge (they have wood paneling on the walls!!!) with a stage for live music and the lanes are new and great. the service at the bar was very friendly and quick. I will definitely be going here again.

The workers suck and have no idea on how to be personal. I felt like it was a bunch highschoolers bitching about patrons and acting too good to give decent service.

My husband and I tried this new establishment on 10/​18/​2014 after seeing the ad on City Weekly. It is a bowling/​bar/​dance place. When got there around 7pm and enjoyed ourselves until about 10:30pm when one particular group began being real loud and real obnoxious. We could definitely see that they were way past being drunk and were shocked to see that the bar continued to sell them alcohol. My husband and I were the only ones dancing on the floor when one of the guys in the group decided to mosh pit with his fellow buddies on the dance floor. He was drunk and all over the place. My husband asked him to slow down a bit fearing he was going to hit me when the mosh pitter began swearing and acting like a real tough guy. My husband didn’t back down at all and the mosh pitter started blurting out that he was a cop and we better back off and sit down. The DJ asked us to sit down then the 2 bouncers of the club asked us to leave, despite the mosh pitter cop was the one way past drunk and way past belligerent. This Pins and Ales catered to these drunk off duty cops and the establishment new they were off duty cops and decided to run us out instead of the problem. I am disgusted with this place and cannot believe that after being in business only 4 months, they would choose to cater to these types instead of decent folks. Terrible, terrible place!!!
