Absolutely fantastic, especially for lunch. The food is delicious and the staff and owner are very friendly. The hot and sour soup is the best I’ve had in the valley, and I highly recommend David’s Chicken. You can count on me to go here several times a month! I love Fong’s!

I enjoyed the sesame chicken, but even though it says they deliver, when I called(after having it delivered on prior occasions) they said they were only dine in and take out. Unfortunately, the service is slow & not always courteous, so delivery was the only option I was willing to use. Will have to take my business elsewhere.

I have eaten at Fong’s many times over the year with my coworkers. On my last visit, there was hardly anyone in the restaurant on at the busy Friday afternoon lunch rush time. There was 12 of us and we sat in the back. The staff is very friendly and the food was fast. My food was ok, but there was no wow factor. I remember having a great experience in past visits, but didn’t really find much of anything special this time.

I love Fongs. It’s about 30 minutes from where I live and I have no problem making the trip. We always order orange chicken, lo mein and fried rice. The egg drop and wonton soups are also delicious. The service is usually really good and Fong himself is usually around too. It’s by far some of the best Chinese I’ve had here in Utah.

There’s not much fine at Fongs. The food was tepid and weak in flavor even when asked to make it spicy. NO alcohol is served so I missed having a beer with my food. I never had egg drop soup that had peas and carrots in it. Weird and luke warm as well. The furnishings of the restaurant are cheap and do not transmit the message of «fine». Visibility in the restaurant is poor and the place feels cramped due to the high white wall that cuts the place in half. This place needs to be redesigned and renovated along with the menu. A new chef is needed here but where are you going to find one?

So my son and I wanted something a little different last night, so we decided to try Fong’s in Draper. They weren’t excessively busy(3 or 4 other tables). Before we ordered, a gentleman(owner/cook/manager?) came to our table and brought egg rolls and cream cheese wantons. «Score», thought we… «free appraisers!» But alas, it wasn’t so. The waitress taking an order at the next table gave him the evil eye, and said ‘those aren’t for them’. The guy looked at her and said, «Oh, you wrote down the wrong table number»… No biggie. My son ordered the General Tso’s shrimp with peanuts(Waitress had to repeat his order 2x, and it was a little strange) and I had the Chicken and Cashews. We ordered water to drink, and they filled it many times during the night. We both ordered egg drop soup. Not spectacular,(I like a few more veggies) but was pretty good. And hot. Moments after the soup, the main course came out. It was kinda disappointing. Portions weren’t small, but mediocre. But they looked, just… well blaaa… Everything had a dark brown sauce on it. The peppers weren’t green, the carrots weren’t orange, the chicken didn’t look white, and the shrimp didn’t look pink. It all looked dark brown, and almost ‘old’ — Mind you, it didn’t look ‘bad’ or even ‘old’ but it just wasn’t something I expected. But, the temperature was hot, and it tasted average. But again, the presentation was pretty lousy. The waitress explained that they were out of ham fried rice, and would bring that out shortly. We asked for chopsticks, and she came back quickly with 2 pair. So far, we’re talking a 3 or maybe even a 3 ½ star experience. But… We waited 10 more minutes for the rice. I was about ¾ the way done with my Cashew Chicken and my son was about ½ done with his meal. She brought a bowl,(about medium sized cereal bowl) with a little rice in it. Maybe a cup and a half. The bowl was just over half full. I asked, «is this for both of us?», thinking I’d get my own bowl. But, I think she thought I was offended that ‘my’ rice was in the bowl with ‘his’ rice, and she said, «Oh, I can put it in two bowls if you want». My son and I looked at each other same smiled a little and I said, «That’s ok» She came back a few minutes later asking if we wanted more rice. My son said, «sure!» — She took our bowl, and brought back, and I kid you not, less than ¼ of the bowl of rice. In total about a ½ cup more of rice in the bottom. She dropped it off quickly, and left. My son and I looked at each other and burst out laughing… I also thought the price was pretty high for what we got. 2 meals, no extras, no drinks. Cost $ 26 including tax and a moderate(10−15%) tip. Above Average — Water service Above Average — Food and Soup Temperature Average — Wait Service and attitude Average — Main course portions Below Average — Price for what we received Wel Below Average — Food presentation Well Below Average — Rice portions

Today is my my dad’s birthday, and he wanted takeout. I found this place and it looked what he really wanted, I made a list and really devoted some time making sure each family member got what they wanted. I called and the person on the other end couldn’t hear a word I said. But, after I said delivery he said that there isn’t enough people to have one go down and he ended the call. Maybe 1 minute later he calls me back and practically begs me to order. The food was good-ish. Not amazing but not like repulsive. They need to get more employees or more workers that know what to do.

Zero stars. The food was definitely not fine. We ordered the orange chicken. Honestly did not see any chicken. It tasted like cardboard. Never coming back

Love Fong’s so much! It’s my favorite Chinese place, and living down the street is dangerous. It’s authentic with a modern spin. Love this place and we always get two meals out of it with how much they serve.

This place never disappoints. It can get a bit busy some nights, but we never walk away hungry, disappointed or bummed on our food. The Moo Gu Gai Pan is insane and tastes the way my Chinese grandmas home cooking would taste…(if I had a Chinese grandma). The facility is a bit different as it was once a 50’s diner or something but once you get over that fact it’s all good. My favorite is the Orange Chicken… hard to beat this place as the meat is of MUCH higher quality than other Chinese places in town. Come down, give it a try and I guarantee you’ll be back for more before you know it.

Never again! The place is too cold, the service is crap, and the food is definitely not worth the money. Let’s start with the hot and sour soup which is a dark brown broth with tiny bits of what appears to be chicken. This was the most tasteless soup I have ever had. The fried rice is simply white rice darkened with soy sauce with a couple of peas. Don’t even get me started about the orange chicken, you get the same thing from the frozen section of a grocery store. The Kung pow chicken was not spicy and it barely had any peanuts in it. There is no quality and the portions are small. I don’t know how this place stays in business!

teenagers are expected to settle. when it comes to dining, the cheapest is the best. But what happens when you get a group of teenagers with a palette for the exquisite and extravagant? They don’t settle. So you’d expect this group to make in illegal U-turn, cut across three lanes of heavy traffic, hit a fire hydrant, and leap out of the still moving vehicle at the sight of «Fine Chinese Dining». I am here to tell you. It is a fine dine indeed. Entering through the front door was like passing through the hanging coats in the wardrobe to Narnia. I was transported to a whole new world. Fong’s was the magic carpet. I had no Jasmine to my Aladdin however. I am very lonely. The menu is very large which makes it hard for first timers. It was like a personality quiz. I had to find the dish that was meant for me. Upon recommendation from my good friend Jared Hubbard(5’4″) I ordered the«Pon Pon chicken», which was listed under the«Spicy» category. it was not spicy. but I mean, it was pretty good. I also received a side of wonton soup and fried rice. The soup actually tasted like trash mixed in a toilet bowl and they tossed some fried banana peels in their. shit trash. Good thing I tried my friend’s egg flour soup. it was way better that toilet banana onion trash soup. the rice was endless. What better thing can their be in this world? Fong’s is a Chinese institution and a fine dine indeed. I probably will never go back in my life. but yea five stars for sure.

Honestly I am surprised to see so many positive reviews. My wife and I have visited quite a few restaurants in this area, and this is definitely our most disappointing experience with Chinese food. I feel like you pay $ 12 for 3 pieces of shrimp with poorly prepared chicken, a plateful of veggies and steamed rice. Biggest waste of $ 35 I have spent in a while!

Service was very good and fast. Atmosphere is clean. We ordered Singaporean noodles and pork dish. When we tasted the noodles it was just too salty. And so our sever had to bring that back to the kitchen and make us a new one.

I’ve had numerous wonderful dining experiences at Fong’s. They offer a variety of classic Chinese dishes as well as some Japanese cuisine items(edamame, Mabo dofu, etc.). The service is quick and attentive, and, as a gluten-free gal, I appreciate the number of gluten-free options on the menu, as well as the availability of gluten-free soy sauce. I have taken friends and business colleagues there and even organized a work holiday party there, and I recommend it highly.
