Love Love Love the steak tips and mash potatoes! Great seafood too! Big selection, great service. Def old school dining, there is nothing trendy about this place but its a great neighborhood restaurant

Ordered the Pork Chops for take out. Big mistake. They were huge, salty, dry, and burnt. My jaw hurts from chewing so much.

Wonderful food and prompt service. My only complaint is there is a serious need for updating the décor. Really stuck in the 80’s and therefore does not«feel clean».

First time and very positive experience. Service was excellent, food was very good and reasonably priced. Will be back again. Took one star off for dated décor.

We were seated next to a dirty table that wasn’t cleaned the entire time. Floor was gross, too. The wall? I can’t even… I was scared to eat the food but surprisingly it was delicious. Our server was lovely. I will never go back, though — too filthy.

Been here twice in the past 2 weeks. Believe this will be our new«go-to». Great prices and awesome food! Last visit I couldn’t finish my steak tips and made up a bag to bring home and forgot it on the table. I was so disappointed. Surf and Turf with the broiled scallops were great! Can’t wait to try something else.

Food ok. Personality of the owner not so friendly. I have only purchased salads and each time the lettuce is old and turning yellow.

We’ve been going here on and off for about 20 years, it is another Dracut staple. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu at least once. The food is consistently good and they usually have a good choice of specials. They excel at beef selections, such as, Steak tips, Bourbon Ribeye(my fav) or Prime Rib is fantastic. Our boys love the burgers(so do I). The seafood selections are also very good and abundant. Entrée salads are also large and very good if your in the mood to eat lighter. Our family has also done some small family functions here over the years and have had very good experiences every time. The bar has a full selection and does a good job, they also run drink specials that are inventive and very good. The only cons are; they can get very busy(good sign) and wait times may be a bit long but they have always been professional and friendly. Some of the areas also can get a bit loud as some of the rooms are closed quarters that you may need to share with a larger group, also the décor could use an update. Otherwise, good food and normally good service.

Been coming here for years now. It’s our go-to place for consistently good food with great service and portions. Went on a Monday night so it wasn’t busy at all. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Waitress came over quickly and took our drink orders. We both had house salads, which were very fresh. We were also given hot rolls(3 rolls for 2 people was a bit odd but they were good). I had the baked haddock with their rice and my husband had the grilled swordfish. Both were fresh and delicious. There is nothing worse than getting frozen fish at a restaurant but there is no doubt that this was fresh. Total meal for 2 was $ 44. Great value for the amount of food we had. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the dining room could use a bit of a makeover(refinish the tables, paint the walls, new carpet).

We had eaten here 3 years ago and had a very good meal. I had the the duck and my husband had the prime rib. It was very good so we decided to try it again. However, after reading Unilocal reviews I went in tentatively, expecting a terrible meal. I started with the Saint Urban Riesling, which was very good for a $ 6.50 glass of wine. My husband had the French Pinot Noir, which was also good for $ 7.25. We skipped appetizers. I had the stuffed sole, which was very tasty and my husband had the seasonal chicken with cream, cranberries, and apple. It’s May, so it was a bit strange choosing a winter type dish, but he said it was delicious. Both were served with wild grains and green beans and carrots. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. For dessert my husband had coffee(he said it was very good) and the raspberry cheesecake. I sampled. It was beautifully presented and very tasty. Dinner, 2 glasses of wine, and a desert and coffee was $ 66.00 with tax. Not bad at all. I gave it 3 stars because the rug needs replacing. Very musty old smell. And not the best dinner music. The waiter, Anthony, was attentive and very personable. Was it the best meal I ever had? No. But it was good and a good value for the price.

Ate here the other night and it was great! Food was good. Decent size portion. I got the clam chowder and was good. I asked if they made it in house and they said yes. Good flavor, good amount of clams. Then I got the chicken Caesar salad. Fresh lettuce, tender chicken. They also pour a good drink at the bar. Cozy place. Not much on atmosphere but good spot to go and get a good meal.

Excellent food with a lot of selections. A little remodeling and updating would go a long way though.

2.5. If you want a flashback dining experience, by all means, travel back to the 90’s at The Village Inn. Food was passable and the décor, like the menu was shabby and dated. Service was standard.

We ate at the village in last night. Here is an outline: Service — Our waitress was great. Food was served hot and as requested. Drinks remained full. She was very friendly. Food — The portions are HUGE. We got scallops and bacon($ 12.99) — yippy! My fiancé got the back yard bbq. The ribs feel off the bone, steak was perfectly booked and the chicken was moist. I got the prime rib($ 19.99) which was amazing. The price of all this was extremely rasonable for the HUGE plates! Drinks — Various drink options are available. The pricing is lower than other places around. General — I would agree that the place is a very dated and could use a good upgrade. Overall, it may help bring new clients as the food is excellent. In general, I think this could be accomplished by changing the paint, replacing the carpet(tile or anyother flooring to demonstrate clean), paint the booths and recover the fabic.

I have been here only on one occasion though I have tried to go twice. It is located on a main, but quiet road in the depths of Dracut which is just a hairpin curve away from farmland. Plenty of parking in a large lot. You can tell after walking in and being seated that is a family restaurant. It has a lovely and warm feel too it. The décor is a little dated but that is usually the case with places like this and quite honestly it does not bother me much. Like with most places, I have not had a problem with the waitstaff or service. I honestly cannot tell you what I ordered here; I want to say it was a stuffed haddock, but I know I walked away pleased and the stomach was full with the food. The Village Inn is all about comfort food and serves you large portions. I couldn’t help but think that my own Grandma was probably cooking the meals in the back. It has a «homey» feel about it and I really dig that. I was glad that my money went to a family that served me a hearty meal instead of going to cheap corporate chain. The second time I tried this place the wait was too long so we went someplace else. We went during the heart of dinner time and were already starved so didn’t want to wait and was bummed. They have another building in the back which appears to house special functions. There was one going on so I am assuming that is why they were so busy. I hope I get to go back soon.

My husband, kids and I usually go here every weekend for take-out. Their take-out service is usually slow, but today was the slowest making it the last time we go there. I placed the order at 6:23pm, they told me it would be 20 minutes. They ran our credit card at 6:32. I waited in the car with a 6&2 year old kids. My husband didn’t come out until 7:20, ALMOSTANHOURAFTERORDERING!!! Not fun when you’re stuck in a car for 45 minutes with 2 hungry kids! They felt that they would make it up with giving us 2 desserts! We get home and our food was cold! My kids get more in a Happy Meal than the Kids chicken fingers & fries! My husbands Fisherman’s Platter was a joke… mostly onion rings, fries & haddock! What happened to the rest? So not worth what we paid for! And the dessert was a joke as well!!!

Had a meal here recently. It was okay, to say the least. It was for a party, and we got a multi-course meal around dinner time. We got a small mug of soup(maybe a ¼ of a cup), a salad, a main course, and a dessert. The soup was interesting; it was a chicken and barley soup, with some assorted veggies. The peas in it did not look fresh at all; they were not a vibrant green color like you would find with fresh or frozen produce. I got the prime rib as my main course, and it was okay. The portion was so large that I could barely finish a third of it, but it didn’t taste like other types of prime rib that I’ve had at other restaurants, or purchased from a butcher. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, two awkwardly large slices of tomatoes, cucumber, and a lot of dressing. The final course was strawberry shortcake, which was good, minus the lack of fresh fruit. I don’t think I would ever come here for a meal on my own, or with someone. For a small local restaurant, it seemed okay. But for the cost of the meal(according to their menu price for individual items), I could get what I consider a higher quality meal somewhere like the Texas Roadhouse.

I live in Dracut, hadn’t been here in 10 years — thought of it as a Blue Haired Lady lunch place. Then we went with some friends recently for his birthday dinner and WOW this place is really good! The fish is TERRIFIC, the Prime Rib very nice. Salads were good, as were soups. Service was fine, the place was packed. We’ll be back again soon and will bring some not blue haired friends. 3÷25÷15 — UPDATE — food still good but the inside is looking shabby & dated. Please paint & ditch the outdated wallpaper border.

This review is based on lunch. I decided to have lunch at The Village Inn which serves up American cuisine including steaks, seafood, pasta, sandwiches, salads, and more. The lunch prices are very reasonable, most entrees under $ 10. The dinner prices are moderate, $ 12-$ 27 range. See the menus at: I arrive here around high noon and seated promptly at a booth near a window, shades turned since it was very sunny outside. The atmosphere here is relaxed, very casual and not fancy, which has a bar area in the back surrounded by sectioned dining areas with comfortable booth seating, some a bit worn. There were a few other diners here having lunch, mostly senior citizens. There’s also a Function Hall with plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant. I knew what I wanted before I arrived here since I took a peek at the website. I ordered an ice water(served in an old plastic cup) and the Seafood Cakes($ 7.99) which included soup of the day, choice of potato, and cole slaw. The soup(beef barley) was decent, which had chunks of beef steak, barley, & vegetables in a tomato based broth. The entrée arrived shortly after. The 2 seafood cakes were deep fried crispy outside and soft inside with baby shrimp, scallops, & crab, minimal bread filler. The dipping sauce was great which had horseradish, mayo, and dijon mustard. The red skin mashed potatoes had a good creamy texture. The homemade chopped cole slaw was a good side with the seafood cakes. I passed on dessert(apple pie a la mode and grapenut custard on special) since I had just enough food. The lunch was very tasty and enjoyable, and the check before tip came out to $ 8.49. The service was very attentive and efficient. I would definitely recommend The Village Inn as a great place to take your grandparents out for a meal, especially for lunch. As I was leaving, a old lady and her grandson were being seated.
