For Julie Bessler of the John Meulstee Team. Julie «inherited» me through unusual circumstances. Originally in the home renovation/​refinancing market in Chester County, my lender (who was excellent) reviewed my financial status, calculated renovating would be financially burdensome and suggested I sell my house and buy another one. That advice, initially, was emotionally upsetting and meant selling my home of 40 years. But I decided to do that. To complicate matters, I was on a time constraint because I was renting an apartment due to extenuating circumstances I was not living in my house), did not want to renew the lease and had to give sufficient notice. She made me feel comfortable in asking and never made me feel stupid or that I was imposing on her. She was always on the look out for houses I might be interested in. But she was never «pushy» in trying to make a sale by trying to change my mind if I didn’t like what she or I selected to view. My work schedule, travel time and distance were always factors when it came time to look at houses. But she never said she could not show a house. If she couldn’t make it, she would get a team mate to fill in. When it came to negotiating she guided me through the offer and counter-​offer process. She «fought» for my best interests. In the final stages before settlement on the home I bought, the seller balked a little regarding needed repairs. But with her skills, Julie got what we wanted. She also arranged for home inspection, termite inspection and the seller buying a one-​year home warranty for me. You can have complete confidence in home buying with Julie as your realtor.
