Beans Beauty Store & Salon

Love this «mom & pop» store (there are three other Beans stores)! I like to support small businesses and have been a very satisfied customer since moving to this area four years ago. They have a great selection of products and customer service that shows they care. This store has been in this location for fifteen years which speaks volumes for a small business in D’town.

Walked in this afternoon during prime shopping hours and three out of three employees didn’t greet me. Watched two other women walk walk in. No one could be bothered to greet them even when we walked past the employees. You’ve gotta work on that, considering we can buy those products anywhere and at better prices.

I love Beans (it’s a chain) and the newish D-​town location is a great addition to an already cutesy and affluent town. You can snag dermalogica, OPI, Essie, Fekkai and many other well-​known (and a few lesser known) beauty brands here.
A teeny salon-​ette is in the back but it needs some tweaking to get it up and running.
Can’t wait to come here for a quick wax.

I’m just your average mild-​mannered dude, so I had never been very particular about who cut my hair. That is, I hadn’t been up until not too long ago.
Lauren, the main stylist at Beans, first cut my hair a few years back when she worked in the city. It was an epiphany, kinda like eating brand name Honey Nut Cheerios after years of eating the store brand. Suffice to say, there was no going back to Joe the barber.
Top notch at what she does, the greatest thing about Lauren is that she’s personable and friendly without being pretentious or fake in the slightest. She will give you what you want with a smile, and help you figure out what you want if you’re without a clue (like me).
I still live in Philadelphia, but my loyalty lies with the best thing to hit Doylestown since… well, I don’t know much about Doylestown. But I do know there’s going to be a ton of excellent hairdos up there.

Love, love, love Lauren!!! Do yourself a favor and get in her chair! You cannot go wrong by getting your do did by her. She always knows what to do and does it very well. I get compliments on my hair all the time and will never go to anyone else.
