Good spot to go to after work. Only had the beers there but they were good. Low key bar that I don’t mind going to again… thumbs up! Next time I’ll try the food.

Great spot for dates or hanging with friends. Love the cheese and meat plates. Great beer and cider selection. Friendly bartenders. Fun music, which largely depends on the bartender’s ipod/pandora selection. The last time I was here, the bar had fun singing and dancing to 80s pop and then 90s r&b. And the music’s not blasting so you can actually hear people in here. I’m a fan.

I chose this bar as the venue for my birthday gathering on a snowy Sunday afternoon preceding a Holiday, assuming it would probably be on the emptier side, even with a Sunday happy hour. I was always curious about this place, having passed it countless times on the way home from the subway, enticed by its red neon signage. It’s in a curious location — on a side street off of boisterous Fulton mall and blocks away from the cool Boerum Hill nightspots. I am so happy I chose it, and my friends were pleased as well. There was plenty of space to spread out in the lovely rustic space. Music was a good eclectic mix, and the bartender was so sweet and hospitable, making sure we had a great time. The cocktail selection was well worth trying out, even without the happy hour discount. All in all, a good time had by all, and I plan to come back again.

Small, but it has a nice atmosphere are really good drinks. I liked both things I tried, and I am happy for the new Mescal trend in mixed drinks. Bartenders are nice. I actually got the chocolate cake there, which was pretty good as well.

I remember coming here for the first time this summer. I used to work in downtown Brooklyn and was not keen to the idea of returning. It was strange to hear that there was a new wine bar in town and right smack in the middle of downtown Brooklyn. How could this be? When I walked in there was an outdoor front patio, walking in there’s window seating, then the bar, tall tables on the side and then a back seating area and super high ceiling with warm lighting. If you have read my reviews you know I love a varierty of seating areas, sometimes you want to be by yourself and other times maybe with a friend. Last week I was catching up with old co workers, two of them still work at Metrotech so Livinston Manor was a hop, skip and a jump from work. Coming in from the city took me awhile but there are so many train options in downtown BK. When I arrived my friends had already ordered crafty beers and one even ventured into the cocktails. I had to go for my usual IPA but I have had the vino and cocktails here and everyting has been mouthwatering. We decided on gettting some nibbles. There was four of us so we figured a cheese plate would suffice. The boys also ordered deviled eggs and the«Jambon Beurre», serrano ham with salted butter on a baguette. I don’t eat meat but I’m a sucker for deviled eggs. They did not desappoint. And the boys split the sandwich and quickly realized their mistake. They devoured the simple sandwich and sang it’s praises. They quickly ordered a round two. I on the other hand was under the spell of the cheese plate. CHEESE! A huge reason I couldn’t join the vegan bandwagon in high school. I love cheese. This plate had something creamy, something stinky and something hard. The cheese plate came with the tangy and fruity pear compote and figs and the earthy, warm walnuts. You just layer up a little of this and a little of that on the crostini and it’s a cheese party in your mouth. The cheese plate was so good we ordered ANOTHERCHEESEPLATE. I know… there’s four of us… we each ate half a cheese plate… don’t judge us. I only associate with the best cheese inhalers in town. This place is a gorgeous and romatic wine bar in dowtown Brooklyn. And if this is what gentrification looks and taste like then it can’t all be that bad. Thanks to the people who brought us Crowne Heights«Crown Inn», you’ve done it again!

Had my birthday here. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, decent sized open space for people to hang out, great beer /standard booze selection, good food menu.

Great ambience and service, draft beer and shots. During happy hour its $ 5 draft and $ 1 off wine. But the cocktails are too expensive for the size they come in($ 12-$ 15). The food options are limited but the meat and cheese platter was great. Taking 2 stars off for the cocktails and food but probably would go back for a quick drink after work.

you know, for downtown brooklyn, i’ll take it. here’s the rundown for y’all. PROs: — interesting and rotating seasonal cocktail menu. — decent select of spirits if you’re not interested in the mixed drank thang — spacious — friendly staff CONs: — the cocktail menu, while seasonal, is limited. I’m pretty sure you could order off menu and the talent behind the counter could handle it though. — I didn’t try the food menu but it appears the kitchen might close a bit early? — the venue overall closes fairly early, but it’s also DT brooklyn — did I mention it’s in DT brooklyn? in a really weird location? — strange music selection. i’m pretty sure i heard everything from phil collins to black sabbath in one night. this is both a pro and a con though, to be fair … I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back here, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with anything I ordered and I found the prices to be on par with other similar venues! All in all a perfectly pleasant place to grab some booze.

Friendly, hopping spot in cool Downtown Brooklyn. It was busy on Saturday night but we had a nice birthday corner in the back with a table, chairs, and everything. Bartenders were young warlocks – fresh and friendly, knew their stuff. I only had beers but lots of people were getting cocktails. Wonder what that’s all about. Try one, perhaps.

Great atmosphere, great drinks, great service! This place is a little gem hidden away in Boerum Hill of which I’m so happy my husband and I discovered. It’s great for after dinner drinks!

Probably my favorite bar in Brooklyn after my experience last night, it was wonderful I would definitely visit again. The bartenders are really friendly and knowledgeable about their drinks. Prices weren’t too bad and their selection was awesome too. I will definitely be back.

How have I walked past Livingston Manor like 20 times and never noticed it? I was hoping for a quick drink on a recent beautiful afternoon and saw this cute blue counter/outside seating area. I did some further investigation and realized it was Livingston Manor. There’s lots more seating inside, including a nice skylight over the back garden. They looked like they had some very decent food options but I just stuck with wine. Wine’s are between $ 9 – 12 and cocktails were all $ 12, and it looked like they had some really cool options. I hope to return soon and try some more!

Jeez I don’t know what’s going on but I disagree about the drinks… They’re not so great. We tried the following: Plum pie The liquor taste was so strong it completely wiped out any flavoring of various ingredients in the drink, including the muddled plum. I’m all for a strong drink, but if this is supposed to be a specialty cocktail, it ain’t special. ___Falls It was a savory drink with a weird, lingering licorice aftertaste. The flavors just didn’t meld well together. The saving grace is the ambiance, décor and employees. Everything is perfectly set up for it to be a great bar… Except the actual drinks. It is romantic but could also be perfect for a girls night or intimate get together. The drinks mentioned in other people’s reviews like rhyme thyme. It wasn’t even on the menu tonight. So maybe there was a menu change? Will give it another chance since I live close and provide an update.

Livingston Manor NY Brooklyn downtown 11pm Saturday 11th April 2015 Five Stars Livingston Manor is a cool craft cocktail bar where you can find a reasonable priced drinks around $ 12, knowledgeable bartenders, and fun environment to hang out. We enjoyed: old fashion, sazerac, last word, corpse reviver #2, dark and stormy and Templeton whiskey. They have large ice cubes, fresh fruit, and nice glassware. It was good experience.

Unfortunately Unilocal led us to a *dead space* Saturday it snowed and we didn’t want to venture too far from our hotel so we hopped in a cab and headed over to Livingston Manor based on their 4 star average reviews knowing we would have a great time. I was hungry. Kitchen Closed at 11:30 — Strike One No Music — Strike Two Ambiance — Dark — Strike Three Honorable Strike — 13.00 cocktails and no food at a place that stays open until 4am –_– No. We left 15 mins after arriving — it just wasn’t the scene we were looking for at all. I’m not going to plan to go back, maybe its hopping when the weather is warmer? Who knows.

Amazing spot to check out. Great service and amazing drinks. This spot needs more attention. The area is fairly quiet and not a far walk from the subway. Wish I lived in Brooklyn I’d be here every weekend.

I’m very happy to have Livingston Manor in the ‘hood. It adds character. So far it seems as if this place is going to be successful. However, service is not up to par yet. I sat at one of the bar tables waiting for a server only to realize I had to order at the crowded bar. I don’t mind, but it would’ve been nice to be greeted by someone from the staff. I’d like to consider this place my neighborhood bar. The cocktails and wine are just ok selections.

The owners and talent behind Franklin Park and Crown Inn in Crown Heights are behind Livingston Manor, a new bar in downtown Brooklyn. Located between Hoyt(2,3) train station and Hoyt(A, C) train station Livingston Manor brings a much needed watering hole to the area. Being very familiar with both Franklin Park and Crown Inn I had high expectations for this bar, and opening night didn’t disappoint. The bar is beautiful and spacious. There is ample seating throughout and a cool skylight in the back. For people who smoke or like drinking outside, there is small area out back and a front porch where you can indulge. The beer selection covers just about everything(they have 12 taps) including several from Catskills brewery. I spent my time enjoying the cocktails which are fantastic. The standout was The Bugsville Fizz, a $ 13 variation on ramos gin fizz, but with bourbon instead of gin. An egg white based cocktail, so delicious it was hard to sip slow. The Dominicana, a $ 12 rum and coffee liqueur based cocktail is also excellent, Both were pleasantly sweet but not excessively so. If you prefer a spicier cocktail try the Blinking Light($ 12) a mezcal based cocktail with chili salted rim. With all that said what makes me return to a bar is the staff. Being familiar with a few already and liking who I met last night, I can see this becoming yet another bar for me to hangout in regularly. PS– they do have food, but arrived too late to try any.
