Downsville Coffee House & Restaurant

There’s a little town on highway 25 and county road C on our way to Eau Claire that has a coffee shop that is anything but small on taste. Trust me when I say that the Downsville Coffee Shop should be a destination whether for breakfast or lunch. The owners say they are retired but I believe they found their calling in serving the most amazing home cooked meals you will ever have! The cook/​owner will tell you it’s not fast and that’s true, but so worth the wait!!! The ingredients of each meal we have had here were so fresh you would swear they were brought in from the farm minutes before you arrived. I was heartbroken that on our way through Downsville today they were closed… We will wait for next time however and stop every time they are open.

A real treat to find this café on the Red Cedar State Trail. This is in an old building (general store?). There was interesting stuff on the walls and shelves.
Has a varied breakfast and lunch menu. The portions were generous in size. I was glad I had just biked 13 miles before arriving here and had another 13 miles to bike back to our car.
The most important part of any restaurant is how does the food taste? Both of our selections very very good. I expect to visit this restaurant again.
