I love sushi. But I guess this place isn’t for me. I’m a hard core sushi fan, & sashimi, I just love it. Tried this place three times to just see & ordered different thing just to find if I like anything here, the answer is no. I don’t see any sushi chief outside & they make sushi in the kitchen which tells me that they are not professional at all, and rolls have no taste I almost threw up eating some sushi roll they made, it tasted really really really weird to me. Service was great, but more importantly, the food wasn’t great at all.

Came in on a Friday afternoon with my boyfriend and we got lucky to get the last table available. The décor was the first thing that stood out, I loved the umbrellas in the ceiling. We got serviced right away the girls were attendant and sweet. We ordered the dragon roll, the tiffany roll, the big bear roll and a side of gyoza. Our favorite was the tiffany roll. Even though every table was occupied the service was prompt. Would definitely come again!

Best sushi and rolls in OC hands down. Stopped by on my way to work and the server Andy made me feel so welcomed that I didn’t want to leave. Coming back again for sure.

This is a mixed bag review, thus the three stars. Food — good. Not great. Just normal good. No complaints. However, a lot of the rolls have cream cheese in them, so if you don’t like a chunk of cream cheese in every bite, perhaps this isn’t the place. Service — outstanding! The girls working there truly understand what exceptional customer service is all about! Ambiance — Cute Asian décor, but it is ruined by the loud rap/R&B/techno music. Parking — It’s in a strip mall, so parking is fine. Location — It’s in a strip mall, near McDonalds and Ralph’s. They do a lot of take out orders. Think, Sushi Fast Food. All in all, I was not disappointed. It’s fair. Maybe more of a lunch place than dinner though.

I have been to this place a few times and every time has been AMAZING! Upon ariving, the spot was full, I found a table for two in the back which was nice because there was no foot traffic. I ordered the Big Bear Roll which was simply delicious. Fast service with quality in mind. Pricing on menu items are well rounded considering the portions. This distinct destination is 5STAR by far.

This place was an absolute delight! I came here a few days ago with a friend because I was craving the hell out of rolls, The restaurant was a bit smaller than expected, but very nicely decorated, I particularly loved the various colorful umbrella décor that they have hung on their ceiling. The staff were just incredibly friendly and the service was beyond great. Two nice waitresses kept checking up on our table and took care of us until the very end. The rolls were just incredibly tasteful in my opinion. Granted I haven’t been to a lot of different sushi roll restaurants, but I cannot help coming back here for their delicious Maui Roll, and of course their crunchy roll. Also, you must try the monkey brains; I know it sounds gross but believe me it gave gave me a feeling of ecstasy! Overall, I really enjoyed my visit here and I will definitely be coming back for more very soon.

Love coming here. Great, friendly staff. Amazing variety of rolls. A must for me, whenever I am here, is the Monkey Brain and Fuji Roll. It does get a bit busy during lunch and late afternoon, but it’s worth the wait.

This place is just amazing. They are sushi restaurant however without a bar. This restaurant is pretty small but have many customers. It gets packed at lunch so be prepared to wait a bit. They are also known for teriyaki but haven’t had chance to try them due to their amazing and fantastic sushi rolls. Their price? Cheaper than many other sushi restaurants. Things must try –appetizer: MONKEYBRAIN!!! It’s BOMB! It’s fried mushroom and crabmeat with their special sauce. –rolls: FUJIVOLCANOROLL!!! It is just amazing. Their big bear roll, TNT roll, and Hot Night Roll were also great. –teriyaki: sweet spicy chicken is awesome Overall, my experience with Maui restaurant was great. I don’t live around there but I still drive an hour to eat here. Been here many times but not getting sick of it. I can’t wait to be back here again!

This place is great! I come here pretty often. The bento boxes are a great deal and the rolls are all great. I personally enjoy ordering udon with crunch rolls. There is usually not a long wait if you get there before noon(it can get pretty packed) and the food usually comes out quick.

Sushi is really fresh and the service is great. Dining room is kinda small but give the place great ambiance. Seattle roll and the big bear roll are fantabulous. Never had to wait long to be seated or get our food. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I were looking for a new place to have sushi. We have always seen this place and decided to go in and try it out. Small location in a shopping center. Staff was really friendly and attentive. We sat and ordered some beers as we look over the menu. Once we were ready we placed our order with a couple of rolls and a spicy tuna hand roll. Spicy tuna was ok, not as spicy as I would have liked it to be. The rolls were good and tasty. It’s good for a quick sushi fix. If in the area give this place a try you might enjoy it.

I love this place. I have been going here for a couple or more years and never disappoints. The place itself is small but everyone there makes sure you feel comfortable. The staff are always attentive. The food is delicious. I like the all of the rolls and so does my family. Even my father who loves his traditional Mexican food loves the teriyaki box with a crunch rolls. Everything tastes fresh and not«fishy.» My favorite rolls are the Dragon Roll, Big Bear Roll, Downey Roll, and Tiffany Roll.

I ordered the alpha roll and it was seriously no bueno… I’ve ordered the big bear roll before and it was ok but it wad never this bad so I had to write a review. The workers there seemed pretty nice, but the food… Maybe it was because I got it around 3pm, but no matter what, I dont think any kind of raw fish on a roll should taste like it was from the freezer and all squishy as in. When I would eat it, the fish would just disintegrate in my mouth… It ain’t magic people… The rice was also a bit undercooked so every time I ate a piece of the roll, I had to chew those undercooked hard parts of the rice and it was unpleasant. Besides that, I’m not sure if the soy sauce they use is supposed to be this thick and dark but it was quite unusual for me. All in all, I would give it only one star, but I would like to give the benefit of the doubt as well.

Food: Delicious, fresh, affordable. We had the caterpillar, tiger, and monster roll and they were all fantastic. The restaurant: Clean, small but not crowded. Very efficient, attentive, and curteous staff. We got to order as soon as we were ready and our food came out quick. Plenty of parking.

The good: Very affordable prices Free miso soup The bad: Rolls have too much rice I love avocado but they put so much that it blanks out the flavor of the sushi In the end the sushi rolls are very sub par. For such a small place with hardly 8 – 10 tables, their staff is pretty stupid about bringing you the check and basically looking up to see if their customers want anything.

We ordered a few of the rice plates. The portions are surprisingly big! Chicken pieces were moist, tender and tasty. Even for the deep fried mochiko chicken. I didn’t care much for the macaroni salad that came with the chicken plate. We also ordered a rainbow roll to try it out. Although the roll was very well prepared, the quality of the raw fish was so-so. I will come back again as the cooked food was delicious and it’s very reasonably priced.

Fresh! Tried the Summer roll yummy if you like mango it’s a must try it’s very fresh for a hot day. Had the philedelphia roll, me personally not a fan of cream cheese but it’s good. waitress returned to ask for our order after we had given it to her, new staff but still friendly.
