Very consistent, very good food quality. Little over priced but they do deliver consistent good food, kitchen staff is fantastic.

I really had a taste for a cheeseburger today. So I ordered a double, not knowing how big they were. No french fries though. The total was $ 10.27. I wasn’t planning on spending that kind of money today especially on 1 double cheeseburger. However, it was totally worth it! It was big, juicy, and just hit the spot! Perfect!

Food was a 5 star, really. Sadly however… The service was so sub par that I would have put no stars if Unilocal would allow it. Imagine if you can the«Soup Nazi» from Seinfeld… Me and my buddy walked in and immediately were treated like complete nincompoops by the cocksure lad behind the counter. Him and his gimcrackery gold chain can dangle around the poor review I leave. And for Pete’s Dragon… He displayed how basic and petty he was when he corrected us on how an Italian Sausage is not a sausage.

Best beef period, beats the competition. Italian ice is great. Prices have increased slightly since the remodel but still worth supporting local business and enjoy a great beef sandwich in a small diner.

Love the food here. I have been coming here since I was little with my family. I recently moved back and me and my wife went in for lunch a week or so ago and it’s still as good as I remember. My wife love the Italian ice always asking me if we can go back just for that alone.

Teddy’s has some of the best food around! My personal favorite are the chicken nuggets. Made to order and come out piping hot. Whenever I’m home from school, I always make sure I make a stop at Teddy’s!

This our Christmas vigil eatery. We even took a pound of Italian Beef home. Beats Portillos hands down!

It’s hard for this cheapskate to give 4 stars to a place that is over-priced, but all the food was pretty dang good. I got a cheesy beef, small fry, and medium shake and the total was about $ 18. This place makes Portillo’s look cheap! Anyway the food was tasty and honestly I might be back, or I might not. I’d really have to get a serious craving for it.

I grew up just a few blocks away from Teddy’s and they’ve always been awesome. Cheap and delicious dogs, huge fries, and the Italian ice’s are the best in town. You won’t be disappointed unless you’re a Scrooge.

When we first arrived the place wasn’t so bad, but then we went inside. The prices weren’t horrible but the quality was not worth it. The system of ordering is you can get certain things on your food«upon request» but ofcourse, that’s in the fine print. Secondly the cashier was rude. Halfway through my order I decided to take pickles off my hot dog and he rudely yelled to the cooked and said that I changed my mind about the pickles. Food wasn’t horrible but could stand to be improved. The cook watched up eat and made us uncomfortable. Soft drinks tasted watered down. I definitely won’t be returning any time soon.

Teddy’s is about the best fast food restaurant around. The burgers, hot dogs, and Italian beef sandwiches are great, and I really like Teddy’s fries, not to crispy, not too mushy. Just right. I love the pretzel rolls that they’ve introduced. It just makes a burger that much better, and my son loves his hot dogs on a pretzel bun.

A treasure of hot dog stand favorite as well as some tasty new items, Teddy’s Red Hot is worth s visit. Cozy booths face the picture windows and a view of Main Street. Noted for excellence in Italian Beef, Sausage and Maxwell Polish — Teddy’s does it all! Friendly neighborhood feel, VERY clean with fresh well prepared foods– I will be returning yo Teddy’s. note: there is something for everyone from Carnivore to Vegan!

I went in at 8:55 on a Sunday and saw that they were only open until 9, so I turned around and was going to go somewhere else, not wanting to be that guy that gets there right before they close. The guy running the place waved me in, so I ordered a Milkshake and a chicken nugget basket. The chicken nuggets which are real chicken tenderloin pieces with a light breading were amazing. The fries were pretty good and the milkshake was great. I will be back.

The food here is top notch. The facilities are very clean. The staff is friendly. You cannot ask for more. The food is very, very good in my opinion. I especially enjoyed the Italian Ice. Independent businesses like this need to be supported. Believe me you do not want our neighborhood to be taken over by large franchises and chain restaurants, While they have their price wars the quality of the food continues to get worse at the big chains. Stick with the smaller guys that offer quality over price. I will continue to support businesses like this. I hope this place can stay open for another 30 years! Places like this are why we live in one of the most culture rich spots in the country. If the food is good and you enjoy it, give them repeat business.

After not having gone to Teddy’s for several months, I just ate there and paid $ 10 for one hot dog, fries, and a drink with tax. Outrageous! It’s getting to the point where I can’t afford to eat there anymore. The food is still outstanding as usual, so I’ll let Teddy’s keep the 4-star rating. But I wanted to post an update to give people an idea of how expensive this place is. If the prices were more reasonable I’d give Teddy’s 5 stars, no doubt. PS: Why are some reviewers in here saying that Teddy’s «doesn’t put celery salt and sport peppers on their hot dogs»? They do, it’s just by request and the cashier almost always asks if you want that stuff on your hot dog. Get your facts straight if you’re going to type out reviews, people! False information is a disservice to us all.

Another fantastic lunch! And got my free hot dog for checking in. Thanks teddys. I love the fries here. My usual hot dog lunch. The black cherry italian ice is the best. I love the updated décor. New booths and tables. A nice fresh look. Started eating here in 2000. Still my top spot for downers grove 63rd and main.

Stopped by here cause of the Italian ice sign. The parking lot was empty as well as the dining area. The inside was inviting and looked recently renovated. Digital menu and all. They had four types of Italian ice available: lemon, banana, raspberry and orange. We got a traditional lemon and raspberry in a medium. The total was $ 10 which was surprising since we were recently at Jonnie’s Red Hot in Melrose Park and for two large is was $ 6. And I thought Jonnie’s could have charged more for their ice cause it was that great. Lemon ice was kinda weak. I didn’t like that it had small chucks of lemon instead of large wedges. The raspberry was amazing. It was so refreshing. If it was a hot sunny day instead of a stormy day it would have been 10X more awesome. Would go back if I was REALLY craving it. But in my opinion a bit overpriced.
