5 years ago I was introduced to this Barber Shop by my brother and I have never looked elsewhere. Let me begin by saying that this shop has character inside and out. Gina the owner is a lover of the Blackhawks and always has a retro John Candy movie playing in the background to keep the mood light. My barber Sergio is second to none.
Sergio truly loves what he does and takes his time with all his cuts. My usual is a high taper fade and trim on top so that I can comb it back without spiking tendencies :) I have posted pictures in the past of a great product they sell here called Suavecito. It is basically a terrific smelling pomade that keeps your look looking fresh without the hardness of gel or flakiness of spray. It is for the all natural look. Sergio recommended this to me one day and I have been using it ever since. When I take my son here Sergio does a great job too with his hair. All in all if you are looking for a home away from home vibe and excellent barbers in Downers Grove this is a must stop. Gina, Laura, and of course my guy Sergio are excellent barbers.
Quick tip: Ask for a punch card and receive a free haircut after the 10^th cut. Also, they only accept cash so leave your bank cards in your wallet.

Sergio is the man. He will hook you up. Hot lather, straight razor, hot towel shave. This man will line you up, fade your beard, make you look good. He is the man to go to.

This morning was my third visit to this barber and I will continue to go; Sergio gives a great haircut and is not afraid to cut my hair as short as I ask him to. He and his staff are very friendly, the hours are convenient, the price is reasonable ($ 16.00) and the location in downtown Downers Grove is very nice… lots of diners, coffee shops, shops, etc. to wander around in.

So happy to have met Sergio the barber, this guy does it all. From gentleman’s haircuts to tight fades. Straight razor shave for the neckline is the best. You can call ahead and ask for Sergio, you will not have to wait in line. Way cool!
