Chili’s

Went in on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn’t terribly busy and we were seated right away, that’s where the good ends. Our order seemed to be forgotten about. Once we finally got our appetizer it had been sitting out awhile and wasn’t fresh, and we’re not sure our entrees were ever even made. We asked for the check and left, only paid for the appetizer and we weren’t charged for our drinks. Will not go back.

My husband picked up brown guacamole from the Chilis in Downers Grove, IL minutes ago. Yuk!!!

Good service, good drinks, good food, good seating. I enjoy it every time i come. Good spot and prettt big. Clean bathrooms. Nice bar area. Great for kids, families, and dates

The «table side guacamole» (supposed to be made at the table) was made in the kitchen (or out of a bag, who knows?). They have these table tablets that I did not see get wiped down in between patrons’ visits…(gross!) But at the end of the day, it’s chili’s…Not really sure what else to say… not really sure what else to expect.

Aileen is the most amazing server! I’m vegetarian and she made excellent suggestions for me– the smoked quesadillas without the meat are delicious, especially with the jalapeño aioli sauce! This is by far my favorite chili’s and Aileen is the type of server others should aspire to be!

Terrible hostess. REALLY REALLY TERRIBLE. Short dumb bitch and another dumb waitress. Can’t even sit people down
BUT the steak was good. My wife had the quesadillas and good as well. Not top notch high end quality food but good enough. Also the server we got was really cool and friendly. He was attentive so his cool. Also the molten cake was fantastic

3÷13÷2016− Chili’s is a Chili’s– food is pretty standard through the chain.
My burger was just average, fries ok (just put the fries on the plate, no silly little basket).
Had just water to drink, came in a plastic mug that looked like it was cleaned with a wire brush for the last 25 years and smelled like it was dried with an old piece of expired lunch meat.
The entire restaurant was cold with a musty odor.
I know most restaurant have a poor track record for maintaining mechanical equipment thus poor indoor air quality. One thing they shouldn’t cheap out on is cleaning chemicals and actually using them.
I don’t think I’ll be back to this store…

Walked in tonight and was told 20 minute… about 30 minutes, after seeing people seated who came after us, we asked the hostess for an update, who told us they had to clean off tables, when we counted at least 4 that were empty and clean. After 10 minutes later (total of 40 minutes) we left… use to love this place, but we’ll have to figure out another place, or go to Fridays, where it seems we are held at higher priority…

This was the worst chilis I’ve ever experienced. Four different host that had no idea what was going on with about 10 different sized parties and no one was taking names or numbers of parties with multiple tables available. Seated a party of 8 that just walked in over a party of 2 that was waiting quite sometime. Not sure what the deal was but very frustrating for all. Server took a good 15 to even bring water to the table. Get it together.

Okay, I get that this is a Chili’s. My last experience at a different Chili’s location, though, was 100% better all around and thus my disappointment. I would go to a Chili’s again, just definitely not THIS location.
We dined in around 8:00 pm on a Saturday night, and the place was dirty. Napkins, food, etc. on the floors. When we first walked in, there were 3 individuals standing near the hosting station and none of them greeted us (one employee was on her knees on the ground, holding the hand of another employee, while all 3 were talking– it was a little weird to observe). The food was kind of cold when it arrived and it definitely LOOKED as if my fiancé’s meal was microwaved. Again, I get it’s a Chili’s and things probably ARE microwaved a lot, but as long the food doesn’t come out looking like that, I am not going to mind. Basically, after the dirty floors, the poor service, and after getting our food, all I could think of was the movie, «Waiting»…
Our waitress was nice and decent enough, but the rest of the experience was depressing. Won’t be returning to this location again.

Dinner around 7:00 on a Friday the place was packed when we walked in but tables started clearing out soon after. In spite of that, it took forever to get our two meals because they ran out of beef for my friend’s enchiladas. They did come over and offer free chips to us. Our server was very nice and apologetic. When the food finally came my friend said his beef enchiladas were just ok, spicy but kind of soupy… I’m wondering if it was because the beef was fresh out of the freezer? my chicken enchiladas were very tasty! This place is very loud while crowded so if you don’t like that, stay away. I would definitely come back here when I need another grease fix. Its a chain so I know its not «fine dining».

I got tacos and mix matched 3 different kinds. The pork and chicken ones were good. I was not a fan of the shrimp taco because of the taste of the sauce

Salt!!! EVERYTHING is salty! After taking a 5 year hiatus from Chili’s, I decided to give it another try. The menu hasn’t changed much and the food is mediocre at best.

Our server, Theresa, was fantastic! She was very attentive and really funny. The host was pretty nice as well but I didn’t pay attention to his name. Our only complaint was that the paper towel dispensers weren’t working. Other than that great experience!

Chill people, it’s a Chili’s.
This location is getting a metric crapton of #hatereviews, and I’m not entirely sure why.
Like its chain restaurant siblings TGI Friday’s and Applebees, Chili’s features a ‘$ 20 for 2′ dinner deal, which is two entrees and a shared appetizer. It’s a halfway decent value, and although the choice of apps is limited, there’s plenty to choose from for main courses. I went for the half order of loaded Texas cheese fries to start, which weren’t anything special. Fries with bacon crumbles, jalapenos and cheese that congealed rather quickly. Meh.
The honey-​chipotle chicken crispers (comes with fries and corn-​on-​the-​cob) didn’t disappoint, and Jackie S’s bacon chicken ranch quesadillas had no issues with quantity or quality. Our server Mat was fine, and the dining area was clean. We were greeted warmly upon entering. Tall mugs of domestic beer for $ 4!

Was it the best dinner ever? Hardly. But it certainly didn’t suck. This was my neighborhood Chili’s growing up, and I’ve met high school friends here many times over, experiencing mostly good things. Perhaps folks need to lower their expectations for a franchise such as this.

I love this place! My server Colleen was very attentive and provided great service. I was sat right away even though it seemed real busy. She was on point and very enthusiastic. I tried the new prime mex bowl. It was a little spicy but the prime rib was cooked perfectly and it had a lot of flavor! I have been to many Chili’s in the Chicago area and this one is my favorite. I can’t wait to come back and try some of the other new offerings they have on their menu.

I used to love this place growing up but as I got older it just has lost its class and touch. The place is always dirty the seats always have food on them or something sticky the table always feels greasy. But even worse than all that… the service is TERRIBLE. The waiter or Waitress never looks interested in serving, 9 – 10 times they rather gather near the register and complain about other customers or even about their own staff. The food is a hit or miss if the cooks feel like making it right or if the server feels like giving the right order its a great place to grab food and go but I would highly recommend checking it because ive never came home with the right food or better yet with the food all spilled into the bag. This place has gone down the drain and its sad to say cause it used to be a great place together at. I will never give this location a chance again.

Service was extremely slow. Water glass had something floating in it asked for a new glass of water. The second glass of water had lipstick
Lip impression around the rim. Finally the third one was clean. Ordered fish tacos. They were terrible. Taco shell was hard around edges avocado slice was old n hard.
The topping slaw was all wilted. The other two orders were not good either which were a hamburger and chicken strips. Chicken strips were not crispy.
We waited about 30 minutes for food way too long for BAD FOOD!

I really don’t like this Chili’s. I came here twice within about 6 – 8 months of each visit and I do not think I will ever return to this location.
The first experience I had, I actually walked out before I was seated. The host that was working was standing around with an awful attitude, and when my friend and I walked in, he looked at us and kept saying «Hold on, hold on, I will be right back…» as he was walking to the kitchen. My friend and I waited for a few minutes, looked at each other and just walked out. I don’t know what was so important that he couldn’t seat us somewhere in the empty restaurant before he walked away.
The other experience I had was with the same friend, and we were actually seated right away by the same guy that walked away from us the first time. I was mildly surprised, but his attitude was just as bad as the first time I was there. He told the server that we had been seated, and the server took our order and served our food, but we never saw him aside from when he brought our check. We timed how long it took between finishing our meal and asking the server for our check, and I thought it was about 15 minutes before we saw him again. I went to use the restroom before I left, and the only thing the server and the host were doing were sitting in a booth complaining about their jobs and the people that worked there.
The food was alright, but I do have to say that the service was sub-​par, to be polite. If people are coming in to be served, then at least try to be good at your job because after all, without people coming in, you wouldn’t have a job. I regret that this Chili’s had failed that in the few times I’ve been here because this is closer to where I normally shop, but I prefer the other location across town.
