Never had shawarma before. Thought I would give it a try. The shawarma is very good and worth stopping for. Very pleasant staff.

I love the Falafel sandwich … and try to stop about once a week. This family operation is warm and friendly. They are from Lebanon, and have an incredible work ethic. Since I am vegetarian I cannot speak about many items on the menu, but what I have had is really delicious!

Do not get the grape leaves available to grab and go! I bought a package last night and once I got home to eat them… they were hard as rock. Really disappointing and had to toss them. If I lived closer to the store — I would have brought them back. Frustrating since I’ve heard many good things about this place.

As other have said, this is a normal gas station with a sandwich counter that can’t be beat! The shawerma and falafel sandwiches are delicious. I really wish this family would open a food stand or other location for their food. Because it is in a gas station, it remains a hidden gem!

While Middle Eastern cuisine is far from my favorite, the shawarma here is a culinary triumph which makes me drool simply writing about it. Those who like other such ethnic dishes will be glad they came in; these are top flight, simply not my thing.

Went here based on needing a quick lunch in the area, so I searched nearby restaurants on Unilocal.I had the chicken shawarma, and it was very good-would definitely have it again. I’ve never eaten shawarma before but I really liked the flavor of the sauce-made for a good wrap. It could’ve been more stuffed-I was kinda hungry after. On the negative side, they were out of a lot of items on the menu so there weren’t many choices for my picky husband and son. My son got a BLT, and liked it very much. He loved the pickles-they were the yummy fresh kind. My husband got a steak and cheese, which he said was just okay. The price ended up a little higher than I wanted for a fast bite, but I’d rather eat here than hit a drive thru any day. The bathroom was filthy-I know its a gas station, but they had tables to eat at so they definitely need to be on top of that! I would like to try their falafel, homemade pita chips, etc next time based on all of the reviews, but would probably get it to go.

This is my first time to this establishment — you’d never know that this place serves fantastic Mediteranian food… I have only had a Lamb Gyro, but it was outstanding. They all kinds of homemade food — pre-prepared — to go as well as a lit of selections that are made to order. The staff was real friendly and very helpful in making my decision. My only comment is, it amazes me that considering the food is so good that it’s not showcased better. Definitely worth a visit — authentic — priced right and I will be trying the falafel next!

IMPORTANT: As of this review, the new location is the«brick» storefront with the«Little Lebanon» marquee — Not to be confused with photos still shown of the old location. Use the Central Ave address here, Google has not caught up with that yet, which caused me a solid half hour detour on my first trip. Maine is sorely lacking Mediterranean food, so I re-routed a trip south to swing through Dover to try this establishment. You may be able to find better or more authentic Middle Eastern food in a large metropolis, but for the area there is no better, hence the geographically adjusted 5-stars. I’ve had the Shawarma three times now and it has cemented it’s place as the best sandwich I ever ate. Chili paste, pickled banana peppers, garlic sauce, and spices on the meat make for a robust zesty flavor. The unleavened wrap is like none other, soft, wrinkly, golden brown, visually flat but still fluffy in texture and warm with an inviting fresh smell. Both fresh veggies and meat are piled high, making for a crunchy, succulent and fulfilling meal. Some may take issue with the meat not coming from a traditional spit or with the additional of non-traditional ingredients like the banana peppers, but no matter the final product is a masterpiece. There are a couple seats inside, but it was a little too intimate of a setting to showcase my aggressive eating tendencies to the public. I tried calling in my first order there, but they said they had stopped taking phone orders due to the number of no-shows. It only took a few moments to prepare the wraps though and seeing the artistry being assembled through the glass added to the experience.

If you want falafel in New Hampshire, you have to drop by this gas station! Don’t let the exterior throw you off. This family-run gas and Mediterranean food joint is one of my favorite take-out/to-go options in Dover, NH. They make the falafel fresh. The veggies and sauce are scrumptious. The tabbouleh is pretty good too. Prices are decent for the amount of food.

Amazing fresh, the falafel is so crunchy and the perfect sauce on the chicken shawarma. The new location closer to downtown Dover is also at a gas station, but two indoor tables to sit down and eat.

I like supporting this family run establishment. They use to be located in Somersworth in the gas station market next to Market Basket, but soon after this place opened in Dover I noticed that location has a new name. I’ve only ordered the falafel, but you can watch them scoop and fry the patties fresh for each sandwich(no frozen patties). Only thing I would recommend if you like your wrap spicy is to ask for extra sauce, I’v always ask for it hot and it’s never that spicy to me. They also have other Lebanese cuisine, freshly made and prepackaged.

Their lamb gyro is an Americanized version. I like authentic lamb gyro with lots of taziki sauce dripping from my hands like the ones from vendors in NYC. Here the taziki sauce is thicker and is spread onto the pita bread. Just not enough sauce for my liking. Pickles and hot pepper do not belong in a gyro and when asked if I like them hot, banana peppers are added. Hot sauce should be used rather than banana peppers. Lettuce and tomato are included and they were fresh. I would of liked the pita bread grilled a bit so the bread can be hot. I do however like the lamb meat that is cut to order from a gyro meat cone then grilled. The meat is well seasoned and good. Overall not the best gyro I’ve had.

A place I’ve passed by many times, but never imagined something so wonderful as this existed inside its walls. You just don’t expect a gem like this to be at a gas station. I ordered a lamb gyro, and it was made hot and fresh right before my eyes. I ate the entire thing in the parking lot, and went back inside to tell them how great it was. I had to stop myself from ordering another. Next time I promised myself to try a shawarma. I thought very much about giving Quick To Go the full 5 stars, but they owe it to themselves to break it out of that little gas station and do something just a bit grander. Maybe that little stand in the parking lot next door. Or even one of the vacant locations right in downtown Dover. How great would that be? And a better name than«Quick To Go». That, perhaps more than anything, was what kept me from stopping at this super sandwich shop. I think day-old hot dogs or pre-wrapped ham and cheese subs. There’s none of that here. Only fresh and delicious real food. I can’t wait til lunch time tomorrow!

I’ve been working nearby building out a subdivision for a few years now. I wish I had known about this place from day one. There is nothing else to say other than you absolutely will not be disappointed. Any of the items on the menu are excellent. As a caution, just start off with mild spice and work your way up. Also — It doesn’t hurt that both of the proprietors are super nice! I recommend chicken or beef shwarma.

My friends have been raving about this place that makes great Mediterranean food. Mediterranean food in Somersworth/Dover? They must be mistaken! I was brought over to Quick to Go, which is located in a Citgo Gas Station, because I had to see what all the fuss was about. The only gas station food I ever had is usually a candy bar or one of those awful sandwiches. We got a friendly greeting from the moment we walked in. The menu is all Lebanese/Mediterranean, with the exception of some steak and chicken subs, for those too scared to try something new(shame on you). I ordered the Chicken Shwarma, and my friend ordered the Basterma. As she was preparing our food, we got to chatting about the place, and how long she had been there. Quick to Go has been around for 3 years and everything you eat is homemade. From the hummus, to the baba ganoush, to the falafel. All the ingredients are fresh and made right there in the little kitchen. They are even sold separate in the store if you want to take some home. They have some seats there where you can eat. I couldn’t stop telling the woman how much I enjoyed the Shwarma, it truly was awesome with just the right amount of spices. As we continued to eat she asked if I liked falafel. After telling her what a big fan I was, she went in the back and prepared a fresh sample for me to try. She went out of her way to kick on the fryer and prepare one falafel ball, just for me to try. It was excellent, and I will be having that the next time I go. For those in the area, tell your friends. This is the best hidden gem I have found since I have moved to NH in September. The people that run the store are super friendly, especially the man who said he doesn’t cook he just eats the cooks food. Get out of your comfort zone and try something new, this place will not disappoint. Even though I love the out of the way hidden gem feel, this place could use a better sign out front because it deserves more customers! 5 stars without a doubt!
