Booked at priceline. Given a smoking room on arrivaal at 1am after a long drive. The hotel and priceline refused to address the issue of a disgusting room that reeked of smoke. Gross!

First off, I am not a smoker and nor do I want to stay in a smoking room. I was put in a smoking room without being notified or asked if I wanted to be in a smoking room or if I’m allergic to smoke or asthmatic. Granted that I was supposed to stay in the base hotel and my reservation was changed I still expected a decent room. This was one of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in Dover besides a close 2nd Best Western which is around the corner. The furniture is not clean, subpar and disgusting, white stains in the carpet, stains on the couch, the arms on the chair and couch are dirty and worn. The bed was comfortable bit I slept on the comforter in my clothes vs under the comforter in pj’s. The bathroom was very clean and that’s where it stops. The rest of the room was gross and the pictures only represent the half. I didn’t realize I was in the smoking section because there’s no signs and they only way i found out was a friend came over and saw the ash tray. They also said the room was«an atrocity». Even the mirror was dirty, there’s no real closet just a section with an organization system and a couple drawers. You could see where the fridge was wiped but just check out the photo of the dishwasher! THEONLYREASON I DIDN’T DEMANDANOTHERROOMOR A REFUND was because the base reserved the room for me which I am greatful for but they as well as myself have standards and I’m sure the base did not realize I’d be in such a shity room. The customer service was mediocre when checking in, the heavy set gentleman was really uptight and a little on the slow side. However the lady that was there when I came back around 5pm was awesome and courteous. The grill to the A/C system was gross so I opened up the window. I truly hope I don’t have to stay here again. The breakfast is the same everyday… 3 cereals(rain brand, special k) some dried up stall pastries and some odd tasting fruit mix. I’ve been here before but this stay sent me over the top. Anyone even considering staying here think twice.

The beds are comfortable and rooms are generally clean. As far as hotels in Dover, this seems to be one of the better places to stay. Breakfast doesn’t seem to change, but it’s complimentary. The room felt a little stuffy and we would have opened a window, but smokers congregate around the front door, so avoid the first floor rooms along the front of the hotel if you ever want to open a window for fresh air.

I have no idea how they think a microwave and a 2 burner cooktop qualifies for a «full kitchen». While the bed was comfortable and the room clean it was cramped for an extended stay, no closet space, no table to eat a meal on and not a full kitchen. On top of this hotel staff was loud in the halls and did a lot of playing grab ass with each other. They also ate their meals in the lobby as it appears the hotel doesn’t think enough of their staff to provide them with a break room. This would be ok for a cheap over night stay but as an extended stay it didn’t even come close to being acceptable. We actually checked out after just one night and went down the road to another hotel for the rest of our stay.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times while visiting friends and family. Hotel is very clean, beds are comfortable. staff is very friendly. Whats nice it has a small kitchen with the basics, very clean thought. i
