They don’t tell you their prices until you are about to pay… please ask beforehand. I felt so violated! They just lost a good customer.

Wayyyy over priced for service rendered! The ownership was very mean and unprofessional. I came from out of town and whenever in DE I will be sure not to stop by here.

PSA: CHECKLICENSES! I’ve been going to Glamour Nails since June and at first I really enjoyed it. It was very busy but they had around 9 nail techs that were very diverse(which is rare and I admired about the salon) & I was still getting in and out in a decent time. Ever since then it’s been incident after incident. First one of the ladies there that can barely speak English attempted to get out an ingrown after I repeatedly asked her to stop because it was hurting but as I said she could not understand. And after watching the cleaning process of the footspas I vowed silently to never get one again. Another visit was a gel polish manicure and I think it was with the owner Trisha, she continued to talk to the woman on her left in their language for the entirety of my very rushed manicure. I was very unhappy with the overpriced services I received at this establishment.

Always had good experiences here. One thing that I don’t like is that spa pedicure costs $ 50. Most other salons only charge an additional five dollars. They always do a very thorough job so maybe it is worth the extra money. Another thing that I do not like is the fact that it does take a long time to get even the regular pedicure pedicure done here. Most salons I expect to be able to finish a regular pedicure in about a half an hour sometimes I’m here for an hour and half. Most of the time it doesn’t bother me though since I’m there to relax and enjoy! But if you’re in a rush you’re better off to check Lucky Nails.

The girls & guys at this place are always so sweet & friendly. Trish & Jenny are awesome. I go in to get a mani/pedi everytime I’m in town from LA. Great, fast service and voted one of the best nail salons in Kent county. You’ll love this place!

I was very impressed with the service here. It’s family-friendly and the people working there were very pleasant. I wound up going to this shop because Betu asked me to return in a couple days and I really couldn’t do that. It was meant to be, Glamour was open till 7pm, I had a mani/pedi and eyebrow wax. The hand and feet massage(tony/trish) included was an added bonus. Jennifer did my eyebrows, she got a 10 in my book; I was skeptical but gave them the opportunity at Trish’s suggestion. I found my wax girl in the Dover area. Although, I received service immediately after I walked in(vets day weekend), vaughn recommended that i make an appointment Thurs-Sun next time. They are very friendly and noticed that they know their customer’s by name. I plan to return in acouple weeks. It’s pricey compared to DC or NY but they’re competitive for area. However, it’s worth it because I value quality over quantity and am not a fan of being pushed through services like cattle. P. s. It’ s been 4 days and my mani/pedi still looks fresh — I also brought my polish with me.

A friend referred me to Glamour Nails when Lee Nails across the street was unable to take a walk-in customer. Right away, I noticed how nice the workers were. It was crowded so I had to wait about 10 minutes before my pedicure. We were off to a great start when I got the call that the little one was done across the street. I had to skip the massage part in order to pick her up. Afterward, we returned to GN. I received a manicure and she got nail polish on her hands. Again, staff were cordial and the owner(Nicole — ?) mentioned the phone call from my friend referring me to the shop. She thanked me for coming in then and again on my way out the door. Nicole greeted a number of customers by name as they came in — I was impressed as I continue to struggle with names. I am confident she would remember me if I came in 2 – 4 weeks from now. I was pleased with both services and I am primarily giving them 4 stars for the great friendly atmosphere of the shop.

I vented my spleen about my old pedi place on Facebook and asked the locals for recommendations on where to try instead, since in all the years I’ve been going to the old place, I’d never even noticed another one in the Dover/Milford/Harrington area. Glamour Nails got quite a few votes, and it was fairly conveniently located, so this is where I went for my most recent pedi. I’m not in love with it, and I may try one of the other suggestions next time, but I wouldn’t mind coming back here either, so inertia might just keep me here. It’s $ 30 for the most basic pedi, and they did try to upsell me to one of the others(I think they were $ 40 and $ 50 for two different lovely options) but I really just like the basic pedi, no matter where I’m going. Anything more involved and I just get bored with sitting there, no matter how lovely it is. She was not obnoxious about the upselling, but she did show some disappointment when I didn’t bite. Eh, not a fan of the guilt trip attempt, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. And I kinda felt like I got the sullen one of the bunch, because everyone else seemed fine. The atmosphere was congenial and friendly, other than the girl who did my pedi. She barely said a word after the attempted upsell, but there were a lot of conversations going on around me, clients talking with staff, obviously lots of repeat/regular customers, etc… And the calf/foot massage part of the pedi was better than at most places. And I thought the wifi was a nice touch, since I ended up doing a bunch of reading online during the pedi. The pedi was fine, and a few days of motorcycle boots and flip flops(not at the same time) later, it’s still looking like I just walked out of the place, not like I’ve been abusing my toenails with unladylike activities, which I have. My last pedi at the old place was worn through in places on my big toes by walking around in my motorcycle boots by this long afterward, although that didn’t happen every time. It’s kinda not very obvious, and I probably never would have noticed it driving by, but it’s right in the same shopping center as Talbot’s, which is a lot easier to see. The parking lot looks pretty small, and I bet it’s not always as easy to park as it was when I went in at 6pm on a weeknight. I was a walk-in, and I had no wait. They do accept credit cards, but there’s a sign up that says they prefer cash due to the high fees they pay on card transactions. I didn’t have cash, and they didn’t blink. Sooo… I’ll go back at least once more, and hopefully get a different person, and I’ll keep an eye out for another place to try, but this one was pretty OK.

Beautiful salon but the worst manicure I have ever gotten! My manicure and my daughters manicure were chipping in less than 24 hours, and we were being extremely careful(no housework etc.) as we both had important events this weekend. Very expensive for nothing. We will not be returning.

This place is probably the only nail place in Dover I have found other than the place inside the Dover Mall. I went in the nail salon in the mall as well and had a terrible experience. However, I had a great experience at Glamour Nails. The foor and hand massage was awesome and the mani-pedi was done perfectly. Staff was very friendly and patient with me. Even though I walked in 15 minutes before they closed, I never felt rushed.
