I’ve been shopping at DNF since it opened. Best selection anywhere NH. Owners and daughter VERY knowledgable and friendly. Will NOT sell you anything you don’t need nor want. Freshest organic food, local goat products, etc. Most importantly, they do their utmost to purchase clean and green products such as soaps and lotions, laundry detergent. Also sell animal food. Our pets lasted well past the age they were supposed to pass because we bought their food there.

Café in the back is great. Friendly staff and lots of vegan, veggie, and regular options. Best is their smoothies and juices though. Made will all good ingredients(no fillers) and they usually have some good seasonal specials. My favorite is the Hardcore SuperGreen. The store has good selection too, with quite a few bulk and store packaged items(which are a good value).

This place is fantastic! I can’t say enough good about it. I’ve experienced my fair share of natural stores in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and now New Hampshire, and I’ve got to say this is my new favorite! It’s got almost everything I could ever want in a natural store. Great location right in town. Friendly and inviting service that doesn’t feel condescending. Absolutely delicious food and beverages in the café. A wide variety of products to keep my body, my family, and my home healthy and happy. Most remarkably, the prices are the most reasonable I’ve seen! The only negative thing I have to say is that I’m upset I didn’t know about it sooner!

Bullet point review: –Huge selection of items in this store if you’re a «granola», which I am a bit –Heavy focus on gluten free which is fine if you need to be, but not a diet choice recommended otherwise –Organic also prominent, which I would say for the most part is good but exactly how bad GMO foods are is still questionable –Organic stuff still loaded with sugar, a health concern of mine that I don’t think gets enough attention –What qualifies as organic is questionable and I’ve read criticism the labeling can be used just to charge more –Staff was friendly enough to ask if I needed help looking for something –Woman at the register was borderline too nice, but she seemed harmless –Got the veggie chicken and smoothie green –Veggie chicken tastes fresh and pretty similar to a regular chicken sandwich, just more crunchy –Smoothie green was one of the main reasons I checked this place out: strong apple juice and banana taste covered up the blandness of kale and spinach -$ 5 for the sandwich was about what I expected, $ 4.50 for the smoothie felt a little much considering the size –High prices is expected at these places –Three comparisons to a Market Basket: Newman’s Own Organic Dogfood $ 3.29 vs $ 1.99 Organic Bananas $ 1.39 lb vs $.79 lb Annie’s Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks $ 6.19 vs $ 3.00 –Small little eating area near the café –Free coffee news mostly for advertisement but still a cute addition –Clean, single compact bathroom is satisfactory; colder than the rest of the store –I expected a hand dryer instead of paper towels considering the store type, but those things can suck so for a local place it might be the better choice

Every time I come here it just gets better. The homemade soups are to die for. Get a shot of wheat grass in your smoothie! You’ll be good to go for the day! Love Frannie the new cook in The Karma Café. Brad is the homemade bread and soup guru. Shop around the store. There is some great stuff here. The cards up by the register are hilarious!

This place is great! I’m on vacation and I am so jealous that I don’t have a place like this next me in Virginia! If you are some one that eats paleo, organic, gluten free, this is a great place to get your dietary staples! Lots of coconut products and paleo friendly snacks, like the Lärabar.

The health shop has a great selection. Their products range from powered Peanut butter(PB2), fresh baked bread, frozen meats to a endless supply of vitamins. The bonus with this shop is the café in back the green smoothies they make are out of this world!

Great products and selection… but prohibitively and extremely expensive! Seems great for the hardcore crowd(many hard to find and specialty items) but Hannaford has a large organic and natural food area and I found many of the same items at literally half the price!

A pretty big selection of fresh, organic, vegan, or gluten free products, but everything seems to be very overpriced, even for what it is. The shining star is the café in the back, with excellent baked goods, smoothies, juices and sandwiches.

Never have shopped in the health food store part of this place, but I did stop into this café for the first time this spring when I was looking for something quick and healthy and was pretty impressed. Although I am hardly vegetarian/vegan, I love trying those options when available and will gladly substitute vegetarian stuff for meat when the product is as tasty as it’s animal alternative.(Even when it’s not as tasty, I still have mad love/appreciation for any place trying to make good vegetarian food happen!) Anyway, this place really does a good job, and I’ve returned a few times whenever I happen to be in Dover. They have pretty delicious vegetarian soups and sandwiches. The guy who is consistently behind the counter is extremely helpful and always willing to try to help my indecisive self make a decision on something. He is patient and offers honest opinions on things when I ask for them.(Dig that.) Haven’t tried the juices/smoothies, so can’t really comment there(I’m a loyal fan of The Juicery in Portsmouth, anyway, so when I need a juice or smoothie, that’s where I go). But I’m sure if they’re consistent in quality with their other products, then they’re pretty damn good. If you’re looking for healthy food in Dover, I recommend this place.

I dont think this place gets enough credit for the Café part of the store. There isnt a lot of indoor seating(maybe a table or two) but there are also a few tables outside. They have some damn good soups and fresh made sandwiches with top quality ingredients. Good spot for a quick lunch on the go. The store itself also has a huge selection of those hard to find foods.

Excellent selection here at Dover Natural Foods. We picked up quite a few things including the one thing that I can never find anywhere — tricolor orzo. And it was organic. I live in Portsmouth and we have a similar store here which I really like, but this store in Dover just feels right. There’s also a café in the back, but we didn’t try it.

I went into this store yesterday just to check it out. And then I got so pissed that I had no money in my bank account because I wanted EVERYTHING there! Dover Natural Foods is not a huge place, but they had tons of cool health food products including raw/living snack foods, lara bars, vitamins and supplements, kefir, tofu and tempeh products, tons of herbs, kombucha etc. I can’t wait to go back to buy everything. Yes, considering that this place sells health food, is it a little on the pricy side. But what would you expect?
