The food is ok, but I feel like an imposter every single time I walk in there. So I think I’m done there.

Great place to stop for a bite to eat in the middle of your long bike ride. You will find many others doing this as well! Folks there are friendly and used to the cyclist crowd. No bathroom, but the gas station right next door is very accommodating.

Great spot to grab a sandwich after a hike in Noanet Woodlands. They have an extensive(repeat, extensive) sandwich list, so you are bound to find something you will like. They also have pizza(which we did not try). The sandwiches were tasty, and chalked full of veggies and their respective deli meats/cheese. There are a few tables inside and a few tables/chairs outside along the street. Tip: they only take Visa and MasterCard and the total must be above $ 10! Otherwise; bring cash.

I go here almost three days a week because it seemed like a good place on my way work. I know all of their names so at this point they should know mine, each time they are rude or either very nice. Most times rude. Yes I know your up early in the morning, so am I when I see you, but at least your getting paid for it.

This place is dirty, look into the sink next time you’re there. It looks like a sewer.

I was just there the other day and ordered a large sandwich and fries… The Turkey was freshly baked thus the Mayflower sandwich was delicous. The fries were also perfect… I do not eat in any fast food places so I was thrilled to find this little gem close by. I disagree with Tarik. There are no other food options nearbye! I did not try their pizza and the place was clean enough when I was there albeit oldfashion which is perfectly fine by me. That is part of the charm:)) Planning on going back next week!

As a resident of dover I would say this restaurant is very average. There is definitely a large menu, but most of the items are made poorly or taste old. The food is eat able it is just not very good. The pizza for example has crust that has the texture of Styrofoam and the sauce tastes like it’s been on the pizza for 3 days prior to serving it. Aside from the mediocre food, the dover café and pizza is also in need of upkeep. For example there is often an annoying amount of flies in the restaurant in the summer, and the tables are rarely clean and often contain sticky reminence from the previous customer. On the positive side though the restaurant’s food is pretty cheap, which still does make it a viable option for lunch, if for some reason you find yours smell in dover. All in all, the food and facility is really not anything special and there are probably better options out there for lunch.

I love the Dan’s Husky Hero!!! I could eat one everyday. Had to try something else today. Got the chicken ceased wrap and it was great as well. This place is my new favorite sandwich shop. The cute brunette behind the counter doesn’t hurt either.

Really great sandwiches! Both the warm ones(great chicken breast) and the cold(‘fun guy’ sandwich with portobello mushrooms and cheese). Lots of vegetables and spicy dressing. And a good ice breams. The service is wonderful, everybody were super nice. They do open on Sunday btw(should correct on Unilocal).

Great spot, a residual effect from Isabella’s which is what it originally was, still has the incredible sandwich menu but also an ice cream bar. Great place to stop for lunch or even possibly brunch/breakfast highly recommend this place you would not be disappointed and I’m sure there’s something for everyone

I grabbed take out from this place last week and the food was mostly good. I got a chicken cutlet sandwich with cheese and lettuce that was delicious and the roll was nice and fresh. However, my father ordered their supposedly«NY Style Pizza» but it was horrible. It was pan pizza rather than authentic NY style Italian pizza. That was the only disappointment but other than the pizza, our first experience there wasn’t too bad. The seasoned fries were delicious. I might try the place again as they have a large assortment of deli sandwiches, breakfast and ice cream.

I wasn’t expecting much, but I visit a good friend in Dover often and I knew this place existed. It’s pretty much the only place in the town serving food. I found the menu overwhelming — the way it was displayed on enormous blackboards. I actually wanted a Greek salad but didn’t even notice salad on the menu until well after I had placed my order, which by the way for for a steak & cheese with onions, peppers and mushrooms(you know, kind of like a salad… ha). I ordered a small and the man gestured to a bulkie roll and said«the small is only this big». At his urging, I felt the need to at least up it to a medium. That ended up being totally unnecessary because it was way too much food. It came on a seeded, braided roll(someone posted a picture if you want a visual) which I admit seemed like an odd vehicle for a steak & cheese sub. Turns out, the roll was delicious. It was soft and chewy and didn’t get soggy — just perfect. The cheese was basic American cheese(which is what I want on my steak & cheese) and there was a perfect amount and it was gooey and melty. The veggies were all sauteed nicely. I was thrilled to find that the steak was not fatty at all(I hate that!), and the amount of steak was literally insane. Often a sub is more bread the filling but this was absolutely not the case. It was jam packed with steak. Like a crazy amount of steak. And it was absolutely delicious. I didn’t try anything else but they serve pizza, ice cream and breakfast too. It’s just an order at the counter place, nothing fancy. Bit if my sandwich is any indication, I’m guessing it’s all good.

i grew up in Dover & have fond memories of what used to be the Dover Pharmacy. It used to be warm & welcoming which is a far cry from how it is now. The food is decent, nothing to write home about, but decent. Maybe i spent too long in California, but seriously… would it kill you to crack a smile? I feel like an unwelcomed outsider when I go in there. I’ve had friendlier service in southie.

First — this is the only restaurant in Dover center. Second– I’m so glad!(it’s not another fast food or terrible pizza joint) I came in for breakfast when I had some free time and I wish I had been doing this all along. The meal: I ordered 2 eggs w sausage, toast and homefries. The portion was plenty big. The food came out hot and quick. The toast is fresh cut bread and the fires are real potatoes :) yum! Add a pretty good cup of coffee and my total was $ 6.50. Not bad. The atmosphere: great for a deli– the countertops are a nice stone, comfy café chairs & bar stools sit in a room full of menu boards(the menu is huge!) Without trying a sandwich or ice cream I am already impressed. Service: The woman brought my food to my table when it was ready and asked me if I needed anything. I’ve never been«waited on» at a deli before. Big plus! I will be returning!

Spending a lot of time in the tiny town of Dover as I do, I’m always on the lookout to try every single little restaurant or sandwich shop the town has to offer because, let’s face it, there aren’t very many places to eat around there that aren’t fast food chains. With that being said, the Dover Café & Deli is right smack-dab in the«town center» of Dover; the streets aren’t very busy and it’s easy to find a place to park if you want to check this place out. I’ve only been twice so far, but they have a unbelievably huge selection of sandwiches on top of breakfast foods, snack foods, and ice cream, AND the place itself is very charming(I have a soft spot in my heart for cute delis). I’ve tried the Northender sandwich(which wasn’t bad, was just a little heavy on the mustard) and an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich(which again, wasn’t bad, but as I’ve said before, I’m spoiled having come from Fairfield, CT, which is home to one of the greatest egg and cheese sandwiches in the country, so I wasn’t really impressed). So what’s my verdict? I’d say check the place out — I’ll definitely be going back in the future because I’ve heard rave reviews about all sorts of sandwiches on their menu that I want to try, and their ice cream flavors are really interesting, even to a horribly lactose-intolerant addled individual such as myself. They’re not expensive, they’re very friendly people, and there’s so much to choose from — what do you have to lose by just checking it out for yourself once?
