Miserable staff ! Lots of old out dated Merchandise with really high prices! Very Dusty and dark, there are better Nicer places around the area to get what you need!

My kids love stopping in Bobs for a candy or flavored soda. I love stopping there for candy, coffee, organic eggs. Organic lots of things. It has everything. EVERYTHING. Go stop in and see for yourself :)

Almost every time I am in Dover-Foxcroft to visit family, I make it a point to visit Bob’s. I love the friendly atmosphere and the ability to find quality bulk foods that aren’t available in conventional super markets, like steel cut oats or even chipotle pepper powder(seriously one of the best spices I’ve gotten my hands on). It’s hard to describe all that they have, but if you do end up in Bob’s, make sure you have time to browse at leisure. Every time I go, I make new discoveries.

For impossible-to-find all natural and special diet foods, there’s no substitute for Bob’s. Sure there’s an Edward’s across the street, but you’ll be hard pressed to find even a fifth of the items that Bob and his family keep in stock at this feed shop cum gift shop cum natural grocer. An odd combination indeed, but when you are serving the community of Dover-Foxcroft, ME, you need to be diverse to stay in business. Because there’s not all that much business there to begin with, as the town’s population is just over 4200, despite its status as county seat. Bob’s carries dry goods of all kinds, mostly all natural or organic. There are bulk spices, repacked in small plastic bags. For folks who like buying larger quantities, they also sell small containers for your pantry. There are whole grain snacks and pastas galore, every possible variety of fake meat, and sweeteners both exotic(stevia) and all natural(brown sugar, white sugar, etc). They have a large variety of locally roasted coffees and more tea options than your local Whole Foods. There are local organic eggs from a nearby farm in the refrigerated case. On Fridays during the summer and late fall, a local farmer has set up a tent outside of Bob’s and sells a variety of beautifully cultivated organic produce. There’s another part of Bob’s — the gifts and farm supplies occupy the other half of the building. Since I don’t farm or buy gifts, I can’t speak to the quality relative to an excellent farm or gift shop. If you need to decorate your summer place with lodge-themed posters, knick-knacks, and tablecloths, Bob’s got it. You need feed bottles for your calves? Bob’s got ‘em too. Bob’s made my vacation tolerable. Thanks Bob, you saved me from a week of bad food in the Maine woods.
