Went in for a refrigerator and was greeted by Tanya in appliances, she was great, very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The finance department was horrible. Lack of knowledge, unable to explain the contents of the contract and unable to tell me why I would be paying the amount stated. Lied about contacting me, very unprofessional. I will never return to this store and will recommend everyone to stay away.

My first impression of this place was optimistic. I was in the area to buy an office chair as I would be decorating my new office soon. As I walked in, a staff member walked up and asked me if I needed any help. When I asked for an office chair, he said they didn’t have any and walked away. As I kept walking, another gentleman quickly approached me and did the exact same thing. What I didn’t mention was the purpose of scooping out the store. I needed office furniture and was new to the area. I’d be needing furniture for my home, probably a new tv and maybe a computer. Since the sales agent didn’t bother to ask about me or my needs, I really didn’t feel compelled to explain. So I simply walked out and went to another store.

My most recent visit was not my first visit but possibly my last. I went to the store a week prior to purchase a TV that I had seen in the sales ad. I wanted to get it as a gift for someone. After walking around a while and not seeing the TV on the sales floor I found a sales person to help me. He advised me that they were sold out but that I could still purchase it now and pick it up 2 days later when the new shipment comes in. Perfect, well not really. I 2 days later to make sure the TV was there and I was advised that it was not and to check back in 3 days. Wow, so much for the gift. 3 days letter I returned, and saw the new sales sheet, I saw a much better TV with a larger screen for a decent price, so I asked the salesman if I can pay the difference for the bigger TV. Well, I guess he didn’t feel like doing any work. He had serious attitude about me wanting to upgrade. This is not the first time that I’ve gone into this store and left only to feel as if I was bothering the associates. Maybe you should make an appointment in advance to shop here. Well needless to say, I decided to not allow them to keep a dollar of my money. I asked them to credit my debit card back for the TV I previously purchased that did not arrive on time anyway. I then left and went to BB and purchased the gift. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because they do seem to have pretty good prices on major appliances and electronics. Now if they would just work on that customer service.

What an ordeal in this place. But in the end, all’s well that ends well. We have never been in this store and it is quite easy to walk past it in the area that it’s in. However, out of boredom, hubby and I checked out the place. Long story short, we have agreed to buy an open boxed camera that had been reduced 40% at $ 250. It was missing a battery charger and we agreed to put it on a 24 hr hold while we looked for a battery at a battery store down the road… we had to put in on hold because it was already closing time for hhgregg. We made the deal with the supervisor and off we went. The next day, we bought the battery and called the store at around 2pm to let them know that we are coming for the camera within an hour after lunch. The associate over the phone confirmed the camera was still there and all is dandy. We walk in and the agent from the night before greeted us with a «oh I guess you didn’t get the message.» Apparently, the same associate that told us the camera was still there had called and left a voice mail that told me to call them back. Needless to say, I didn’t get the«call me back» message and we were told with a very sad and numerous apology that it has been sold(WHILEITWASNOTINDISPLAY???). We stood there in disbelief as the associate quickly referred us to a different and slightly better camera at twice the price that we wanted. We said no and left. When we got in the car, we kinda snapped out of our shock and I called the 1 – 800 number. 45 minutes later, I am back on the phone speaking with the actual supervisor, his name is Don, and he made us this so called«irresistible» other camera. He went on to give us the specs and original pricing and made it sound like as if we were getting the deal of a lifetime since the camera price was originally $ 700 and that it was on sale now for $ 600 but just for us, just especially for us, he is going to knock it down to $ 499. Now, this may seem like a deal, but here is the kicker… THATWASTHEPRICEITISBEINGCURRENTLYSOLD. It was another open box item at $ 499. So this dude is trying to make it sound like he is compensating us for our trouble for the price it is currently being sold. I called him out on this and he stuttered a while and said he will give us a $ 50 discount. I wanted $ 100 since I feel like I have been deceived and this has been such an inconvenience for us since we had made a deal the night before, went out of our way to buy batteries and even bought a couple of items via web for that camera only to find out it was sold to someone else. Then, during my complaint, they try to make a fool out of us by telling us they’re compensating us by selling us another camera at twice the price make it sound like they’re giving us a discount when that price was the actual displayed amount, and then now theyre giving us $ 50 for all this boo-boo? really?! I had to politely argue and later on, we agreed for $ 75 discount. The only reason why I’m even still giving them a two star is that at the end, the manager(supervisor, whatever) Don redeemed himself when we made the actual purchase of the other camera. I didn’t go back in the store since I was still slightly upset, but hubby did and he said that the customer service from Don was amazing. Hubby said he was apologetic, polite, and very professional, and with that, we are thankful. However, I still think that they shouldve give my $ 100 request instead of $ 75, and that little show of selling us a camera at $ 499 and making it sound like the price was discounted when it was already listed at that price left a really really bad impression. We are on the market for another laptop and possibly a desktop, and possibly more furniture in the near future since we are planning on purchasing a home within the next year. Before the whole drama, on our initial visit we were excited about this store and had planned on possible making this our go-to electronic and appliance store … however, after this experience, we will have to keep on looking around.
