This place was so much better than we expected. Service was decent but the food was very good. I was super surprised by their spicy bbq sauce BC I didn’t expect it to be so delicious and spicy. Their coleslaw and pull pork are both delicious. They sold out of the brisket so we didn’t get to try it but definitely next time. We’ll be back

In full agreement that the service is painfully slow. Also nothing is smoked on site – this is a national chain. The meat comes precooked and wrapped in plastic. The ribs were dry and had a lot of gristly bits. The pulled pork was standard – the fresh onion and pickles, plus more on the condiment bar, were a nice addition. Fried okra was perfectly cooked and salted. I would go just for the okra alone, but the baked beans were very heavily peppered. A large assortment of sides compared to many. Their daily specials make for a nice deal but overall, it’s a slow service chain with mediocre food. Kids love the free ice cream (soft serve) cones.

First I have to say, I HATE DICKEY’S, the chain. I have eaten in them in Texas their home state and really do not care for them. But a friend got me to go to this location and WOW! IT WAS GREAT!
The staff is friendly, the food is fresh and tasty and I am not sure about the other review’s comment on slow, Our wait seemed appropriate. Over all a very nice experience that I will do again. I had a chance to chat with the GM and he seems to be a great guy interested in putting out the best product he can. BTW grab the ribs if you go.
Maybe this store can make the Dickey’s in Joshua, TX and Cleburne, TX better.

Food is great. Service is super slow. I know the meat is cut to order but the meat guy has got to take more than one order at a time. This is the 4^th time I have been to this location with the same result. My advice is to either order online or be prepared to wait. It took 15min to get my food with only 1 couple ahead of me. This is No good. It needs to be faster if you want to serve businesses and their employees on break. We only have a limited amount of time.
Like I said be prepared to wait a very long time.
