I took in 7 pairs of high-heeled shoes, all needing tips, and some with torn leather on the heels. When I picked them up, they looked almost like new. Great work, good fast service, and friendly family business.

Located in the Shoppes at Chapel Hill shopping center across from Chapel Hill Middle School. The staff here is always helpful. Even if they can’t do the repair(I had a 3.5″ boot heel break in the middle and hoped for a replacement) they can give suggestions of who may be able to provide a fix. I’ve taken one pair of shoes to have replacement taps, and the work was perfect. I come here because it’s the closest well-reviewed repair shop to where I work. They also have alteration services

The shoe doctor, aka sal and deb are awesome :). A strap broke on my most favorite guess sandals last summer and they were able to fix them, then my husband had some black leather boots that needed heeling and soleing last month and they were able to do that and his boots look like new, and way less than having to buy new boots and I think they are even better quality now than when he first bought them. Not only are sal and deb very good at what they do, they are also a very very nice couple. It’s not often you get great service right on your doorstep

Cant say enough great things about Sal aka shoe dr. He has repaired several pairs of my shoes including my favorite boots which i had worn so much the heel was worn down & the soles had worn all the way through– he made the look better than the day i bought them! JUSTAMAZING!

I am on my feet most of the day at work and therefore pay a LOT of money for my shoes. I was very disheartened when, due to my own clumsiness, I tripped over a curb in the rain and scraped the entire top material off my favorite pair of shoes, which I might add were not a very common color and am sure were very hard to match. I took them to Sal and Deb at the Chapel Hill Shoe Doctor prepared to be told that there was nothing they could do and I’d have to junk my expensive Dansko shoes. Sal examined them and actually gave me two options. He said that first he would TRY to match the color but wasn’t very hopeful that he’d be able to match it so he gave me a second option of dying the does a different darker color. I told him I’d prefer they stay the color they were but understood completely if they were unable to and that I’d settle for a different color if need be. I can’t tell you how elated I was that just a few short hours later he not only had them repaired(in the original color) but they also LOOKED fantastic. They literally looked brand new again! I can’t say enough good about the kindness and helpfulness shown by both Sal and Deb. Their professionalism was beyond satisfactory and the kindness and genuine warmth just exudes from them. I give them 5 out of 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! GREAT job. I don’t think you will be disappointed in their work.
