We live locally and have been in this place a few times. When the owner is there, he is friendly and the customer service is excellent. Yesterday we stopped by and two younger females were there. The one at the register was not friendly – one of those folks working in retail who seems to have the attitude that you are lucky that you are there spending your money, and that you should thank them. I ordered a latte for me and one for my girlfriend. They were lukewarm at best. My girlfriend is not one to complain, but even she was not happy with the temperature of her drink. So she took them back to the counter and asked that they be microwaved – a pretty simple fix to a problem that should not have occurred to begin with. But instead of apologizing for making the drinks too cold, the girl starts to argue, stating that they make their drinks at 140 degrees to keep from scorching the milk. First of all, these drinks were nowhere close to 140. Second thing, if you order a drink«extra hot» at Starbucks, that’s just under 180 degrees – the temperature at which milk scorches. Somehow Starbucks can do this consistently without scorching the milk, yet these folks require a 40 degree buffer? The main point is, when a customer returns two drinks, each of which cost over $ 4, for not being hot enough, the correct response is not to argue and offer excuses. The correct response is to apologize and either remake the drink or microwave it. Instead, the girl took the drinks to the steamer and inserted it into the drinks that both my girlfriend and I had already sipped from, thus contaminating the steam attachment. We also like to sprinkle cinnamon on our drinks, but they don’t keep a cinnamon shaker at the condiments island. The girl’s explanation for that is that the owner dictates which drinks are supposed to have cinnamon on them, and he is against putting cinnamon on lattes. I guess the customers’ preference in this regard is of secondary concern. Once the lattes were heated enough, they were mediocre at best, as far as flavor, consistency of the froth, etc. They also never offered to make the drinks in a china cup – always a nice extra when not placing a «to go» order at a nicer, non-chain coffee shop. Bottom line, I get better service and a better drink at Starbucks, and without the attitude. Will never return to this location.

I found this amazing coffee shop here in Unilocal,I ordered a turkey sandwich and cappuccino which was delicious! The owner was brewing coffee in the back and the whole shop smelled amazing. This is the real deal! A coffee shop owned by a real coffee lover. The Owner is very knowledgable about coffee and will do about anything to ensure customer satisfaction, you can normally find him behind the counter working hard. The place has a great atmosphere and also I was able to get a free cappuccino courtesy of the house for being from out of town. I will definitely be back next time I am I town.

I would have taken a picture of my food, but it’s already gone, and that’s a good thing! I adore this place. I enjoy coming here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, dessert, to work, or just to relax. The atmosphere is relaxing with comfortable couches or chair and tables. There are plugs for your laptops and ample space. There is also a wide variety of music playing at all times, sometimes live. One of my favorite parts about Cabin Fever is their friendly staff and custom drinks. They roast their own coffee beans which makes the coffee so much better. They have plenty of dairy-free options, which is great for me! The hours are really great. They are open early and don’t close until late. They also serve breakfast all day which is a big plus. My favorites include the frozen drinks, German potato salad, bacon, egg, and cheese croissant, and the French macarons. You will not be disappointed!

This is a cute coffee shop and bistro in the heart of historic Douglasville. We veered off the highway thanks to Unilocal and were not disappointed. The salmon + egg bagel was tasty and a great value. The grilled ham + cheese was hearty and filling. While the layout is a bit unconventional the literal writing on the wall was endearing and cozy. We’ll definitely stop back in when looking for a non-chain option for on-the-road eats.

A nice break from the franchise coffee shops and restaurants that have invaded virtually every small city in America. You’ll find Cabin Fever cozy with a warm atmosphere and the coffee is great and the Lox bagel, fantastic. Check it out!

We found this little coffee shop while waiting on our table at our restaurant nearby on a cold night. Stopped in for some warming up! We were greeted so graciously. The service was excellent. They took our time with us and informed us on their menu and types of coffee. Answered the many questions we had very prompt with our order. It’s a cute little shop with live music on occasion. They roast their own coffee and sell bags of it. They have a big selection of different drinks to choose from. Prices are very reasonable. Great place to stop in for coffee! We go here every time now when going to dinner at our favorite restaurant nearby.

Cute concept but my coffee was everything from watery to gritty with a strange aftertaste. I’m thinking they used a powdered mix and I could have done that at home and saved myself $ 3.

This place is a hidden gem in Douglasville, GA. The staff is always friendly, the food is great and better yet, the coffee is amazing. If you’re going through the old part of town you’ll likely pass it without noticing it. It’s literally a whole in the wall, but now my breakfast place I now frequent. Hope you enjoy this place as much as I have. Enjoy!

Best coffee shop in Douglasville isn’t saying much, so I will say that it is in my top three in Metro Atlanta. Kavarna in East Lake and Cool Beans in Marietta are both great. The owners of Cabin Fever Roasters are both friendly and passionate about coffee. This place is a great addition to Douglasville and is helping to breathe a little life into Douglasville’s sleepy downtown area. The quality of both the coffee and food I’ve had there are both impressive as well.

After leaving my daughter’s awards banquet we were looking for a place for a late night meal. We opened Unilocal and saw a place called Cabin Fever Roasters was about a block away from us. So we thought we’d give it a try. We walked in to this small café with quotes and doodles and hand drawn pictures on the wall. All about coffee. The owner was standing in front of the counter and asked how we could be helped. We said we were hungry. The owners couldn’t have been more gracious. We struck up a conversation immediately. I was told«We have the best Reuben Sandwich you’ll ever eat.» So of course I had to try that. My wife got the grilled Ham and Cheese on Sourdough, and my daughter got the grilled Mac & Cheese w/bacon sandwich.(About 4 different types of cheese). The Reuben was excellent and as they said one of the best I have had in a long time. My daughter’s face told me she was enjoying greatly the Mac & Cheese sandwich. This place was a coffee roaster so… I naturally had to try some coffee. That is when everything gets really interesting. Cabin Fever roasts their own coffee. I said surprise me. He made a cup of Ethiopian coffee that was very very smooth. No bitter aftertaste. My wife had a dark chocolate latte with Ghirardelli dark chocolate drizzled over the top. The drinks were fantastic. I read some of the comments about the place on Facebook and Unilocal and saw how they got into coffee roasting. It started by using a hot air popcorn popper. I was intrigued. They were happy to explain the whole process. After about 45 minutes of talking one of the co-owners, John, goes to the back and comes back with a small bag of green coffee beans and hands them to me. He encouraged me to go get a hot air popper and do a little research online and roast my own. So that is my next little adventure. To sum it up. Cabin Fever Roasters is a very nice cozy café — coffee shop that made me feel at home when I walked through the door. It is in Douglasville, GA, I live in Powder Springs, GA about 15 miles away. That will not stop me. I will be back and have another Reuben or maybe the grilled Mac & Cheese with bacon. It will be the coffee that makes the trip though.

Great service, fabulous food! I ordered a Reuben(with no bread) and the owner offered me gluten free bread or to make it a lettuce wrap… talk about personalized customer service! I did get the romaine-wrapped version and it was amazing. In addition, I had cucumber salad & house coffee, both were equally delicious. I am definitely making this a regular lunch spot.

The coffee here is amazing. I went in looking to buy a pound of good coffee to make at home. John spent an hour with me brewing different coffee and explaining the processes and tasting coffee with me and another patron who was just interested in learning as well. I am excited to try it in the morning thank you so much for the experience!
