Ace Hardware – Douglasville

I’m kind of torn about this review. I am not a fan of hardware stores in general. But I think that Ace is a nice small store. However, every time I come into this location all I find are cashiers talking to eachother and other patrons like they are at home. Not at work. I do, however appreciate the fact that they know some of the customer’s by name. But I don’t appreciate a cashier calling a «Known» customer to her register when I am in line behind some one else in the second line. If you are open, then stop damn talking and take the next customer. With that said, I want to give them a 2 for the cashiers behavior and a 4 for the other employees wonderful customer service but I’ll settle in the middle with a 3.
The guys outside that handle the propane tanks are always very friendly. Now I am not saying that the cashiers were not friendly, but I do think it was rude to take ask another customer walking down the aisle if they were ready and not ask me to come over to their register first. The store seems to be well stocked. My BF has asked about the functions of several items and was pleased with the staffs knowledge. So I think that this store is a pretty good location.
