We were looking for a place to catch the sunset on what had been a pretty cloudy day. Lucky for us, the sky cleared up as evening set in. Talking to a local in town, she lead us to Douglas Beach. Small, clean, and free fit the criteria. I really appreciated the natural beauty of this place. Tall grasses, rocks and lots of sand. Perfect for what I was looking for. I spotted a few other people there with their cameras waiting for the sun to do it’s thing. And it didn’t disappoint. Bathrooms, picnic tables are located near the few parking spots up top. A set of stairs will lead you down to the water and all the action.

Small but very clean and secluded. Almost seems like a secret, best part is that it is free. Very limited parking though, and no snack shack like Oval Beach. But nice change rooms and it is very natural with lots of beautiful grasses A lot of stairs, so be prepared for that
