Basket Of Cheer Fine Wine, Spirits & Imports Beer

Went here looking for a wine and a liqueur I’d had on a trip to France that I hadn’t been able to find anywhere else. They had it! They also sell Folklore beer that’s brewed here in Dothan. Service is also friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is bitching. If you love craft beer come here! Best selection round town. Rocky is the shit! He knows what he’s talking bout. If your looking for terapin peanut butter chocolate beer, he has it!

I walked in and it felt like Christmas! I could spend an afternoon, and a pretty penny, in this place.
Found cider boys grand mimosa tucked in the corner… but while I was looking found some other treasures to try!
Wish they displayed prices though… had my tail between my legs when my tab came to $ 85!

Owners are super nice and take care of their regulars. Large selection of everything. Ample choices. If there is something you are looking for Rocky will find it for you and order it. Highly recommend this place and its super convenient location.

The strore is rather cramped, but that’s because its filled with an array of wines and beer (a little light on the hard liquor side). Their domestic beer six pack prices are comperable with Walgreens/​gas stations, but they do have a large selection of European and American craft beers. Be careful though! Basket of Cheer does not display prices for most of these beers and you can ring upwards of $ 40 for a four pack. If you like niche beers, this is your spot.
The wine selection was extensive, especially for lower Alabama. As I mentioned earlier, there’s not a ton of liquor for sale, but they do have all the essentials, as well as some surprises. I got my dad a sampler pack of Glenmorangie Scotch, pretty cool and it’s something I hadn’t seen anywhere else. Staff is helpful, location is good– all in all, its a liquor store.

Stopped in while visiting family and they had a great selection of beers we don’t have back home at decent prices. They had many six/​four packs plus a good selection of bombers. Some hard to find beers too. Recommended!

Basket of cheer has everything that anyone could possibly need for a weekends holiday, wedding or special occasion of any kind.
Ducked in a little shopping center on 231 just NW if Dothan, it might appear small but is packed full of specialty wines, champagnes, seasonal beers and even has a small cigar selection with looking at.
Rocky, the proprietor, is full of reconditions. Feel free to ask him anything. While picking up a hard to find case of Sam Adams White Christmas, Rocky recommended a St. Bernardus Christmas Ale that knocked my sox off!
