Don’t come here without cash. I’ve made that mistake a few times and walked down the street in shame.
The service is quick. There’s decent seating for a group. They have a decent menu. The workers are friendly.
Their pizza tastes different than most pizza I’ve had. The sauce has a sweetness to it. It’s pretty good. The slices are generous and you’re getting 2 slices for the price of 1.
It’s the quintessential neighborhood pizza. I wouldn’t go out of my way but I’d be bummed if it closed. I would recommend if you live in a 1 mile radius.

I eat here a lot because it is close to my house. The menu doesn’t have any surprises; it is basically the same menu you will see in any neighborhood pizza place. I love their calzones and the large are huge and very cheesy. I usually can’t even finish a small one, and I eat a lot. The subs are good too. Steak and cheese and Italian are my favorites. The pizza is also very cheesy but the sauce is a little too sweet for my liking. And the chicken cutlets are those formed breaded chicken patties. Not the worst I’ve ever had but not a real piece of chicken either. The staff is always friendly and if you spend enough money you get a free bottle of soda. There is a pretty big seating area and I have never seen it so crowded that I couldn’t get a seat if I wanted one. Overall I am pleased with the food and the service here. It is cash only though so make sure to stop by the ATM first.

Can’t get any better than two HUGE slices of pizza and a drink for $ 5. I need to note that a slice of pizza at Venice is equivalent to two slices. So the deal is totally worthy it. Occasionally I can’t even finish «one» slice so I have to share. Food is ready served HOT. I usually pair the pizza up with a side of spicy fries. It’s extra crispy and comes out freshly made and hot.
This place is a short walk from my house so I always come here with my cousin when we need something to eat. Dinner for two for under $ 10? Yes.
It may come off sketchy at first, no lie, but people are nice in there, at least that’s how it is for me.

I am a super PICKY pizza eater. I am a repeat OFFENDER of devouring half a large sausage pizza here. It’s perfect from first bite through the end with the crust. If you can’t eat the crust of a slice why buy the PIZZA??? The one con-​cash only dag nabbit, but really worth the trip to the atm.

I came here a year ago and got a cheese steak, which was pretty bad. Then a month ago I came back on a whim for a slice of tomato and pepperoni pizza, and it was piled high and amazing. I kept thinking about it, never having a good excuse to go, until today. I just ordered two slices, and can’t wait. Stick to pizza, they are great.

This is a pretty decent neighborhood pizza /​sub shop. Food is tasty, hearty portions, ready quickly. I like the buffalo chicken pizza, or maybe the chicken tender sub. The restaurant is small but clean.
No delivery (as far as I know). You’re about to eat pizza, walk off the calories ok!
It’s cash only, which is only a problem if you can’t think far enough ahead to get cash. Stuck? Try the ATM in the Rite-​Aid lobby or use your debit card to buy some gum and get cash back.
Also the people that work here have always been kind to me. If you’re having a different experience, maybe you’re the problem! :) Eat a pizza, take a nap.

So far, this is my go to Pizza restaurant. I love the Chicken Alfredo pizza best here. This place does not deliver orders, so it is a self pick up/​eat in. During the summer, the restaurant is very hot, which may be a little uncomfortable, so I recommend ordering your pizza, go home, turn on the AC, and eat it then (Yummy).
Four stars only because the toppings on my pizzas were mostly missing. I ordered «Chicken Alfredo Pizza», yet there are barely any chicken/​broccoli in it.
The workers here are very nice. The wait time is usually pretty fast if they are not busy, but when they are busy, the wait time for your order could be 10 – 15 minutes late.

Excellent service every time. I’ve been going here for 7 years and they’re always consistent and welcoming. They go out of their way to wave or greet regulars even just walking by, it always makes my night.
That said, the best menu item is the steak and cheese sub. ask for extra cheese with everything on it. Yes, including mayo and hot peppers. Or if you like cold cuts, get turkey ham and cheese with bacon and everything on it. Be prepared to thank me later. The subs here are huge compared to in the city and very cheap considering the size.
The other reviewers may have come here expecting artisan pizza or something, but it’s a small shop with awesome staff. Just pick what you want to go on it. I honestly prefer calzones but sometimes just need a slice with some pepperoni on it.

If there was a no star that b great! The cashier is rude. To top it off her English is horrible and bad! I ordered a pepperoni pIzza for my kids. Tell me why I got a side of jalapeño poppers. Said it twice!!! When I arrive my piZza has japlapeno PEPPERS in there! This is for my kids! They don’t eat spicy! I’m not the only one I that had a problem with ordering jalapeño poppers! How can you have a food business and can’t take food orders?! Ridiculous I say! Please either go learn some english or go hire someone that actually can understand what it is That your customers is ordering… will not return! Please close the business…

I couldn’t order over the phone because me saying ‘thin crust cheese pizza and jalapeño poppers’ didn’t make sense to the lady… so I went in and it STILL didn’t make sense. She had to get someone else…
Poppers were good. TGIFridays variety.
Pizza was SUPER sweet. I couldn’t eat more than one slice because of the amount of sugar in the sauce. Confusing because the marinara sauce that came with the poppers wasn’t sweet…

Not of my own volition, I had Venice Pizza again, and I think I’ll be nicer this time around with a better sense of perspective.
You know the saying… Pizza is like sex: even when it’s really bad, it’s still kinda good. And while I certainly wouldn’t order from here on my own, they do make a passable pizza, especially for Boston.
No, the crust is not great. And I’ll correct myself from the previous review — there is plenty of cheese, though it doesn’t strike me as top quality. The sauce is average at best. All in all, two slices make for a decent enough lunch.
You wouldn’t expect the best cheesesteak in New York. So expect marginally acceptable pizza in Boston.

The staff here is always very nice and the food is really good. My two complaints about the place is, no delivery and they no longer have the fantastic lasagna that I would always get when I stopped in. You can never find parking because there is a great bar right there and a cheesy, almost run down, chinese place next door and you risk getting towed if you park in the pharmacy lot across the street.

If you have a mind to, slipping the pie in the frying pan to crisp up the bottom is a boon, but it’s still a good pie. I like the Veggie Supreme.

We love this place!
It is Greek pizza but it’s exactly how I like it. One pizza will feed two people twice so at twelve bucks a pie that’s cheaper than a McDonalds meal. And the staff is really nice.
We get about one pie a week from this joint and see no reason to change that.

In Dorchester, its tough to beat the Meat Lovers Pizza at Venice Pizza.
A large is plenty big to share, or for me, provides sustenance for 2 days.
Cash only and in 10 minutes I’m on my way home with a delicious hot pizza.
