I love my Rite Aid in somerville twin city place so when I moved to boston I decide to switch. There is always an issue with the western union transactions. There is also always an issue with the chip card reader. When I complained to the manager after I spent 30 min trying to pay for my western union transaction. The 18 year old manager blamed the issue with the card reader on western union. This is my fourth issue with them. I give up.

Convenient and usually stocked. It has a modest inventory. Usually clean and the staff are friendly.

I found the manager Gul very helpful over a significant misprice. I really appreciate his quick and considerate handling of the situation. I will return often.

I was a bit confused by this stores layout, but ended up finding sodas – shouldn’t they be right next to the register? Staff were alright, and it’s a big store so I’m sure if I looked around they’d have everything I could ask for from a cornerstore.

I just switched to Rite-Aid and I really love the folks who work in the pharmacy. They are friendly and helpful and every pick-up/drop-off has been a positive experience for me. Rest of the store is great as well. Lots of products on sale/clearance. The $ 1 area in the back with sponges and kitchen/bathroom/cleaning goods is awesome. The folks who ring me in up front have all been extremely nice. They call for back-up right away instead of waiting for a line of 20 to form. Glad I switched to Rite-Aid.

I don’t use the pharmacy here, but I do stop in for sundries fairly frequently. It’s an okay store. Weird hours(opens later than you’d think, closes earlier), but they have a small«natural foods» section where I can get soy milk in a pinch, they always have tons of seltzer water in interesting flavors, and I’ve never had to wait in line long.

This Rite Aid is conveniently located right on Dot Ave and has ample parking. However pulling in and out of the lot can be a challenge, due to wobbling mouth breathers unaware of their surroundings amongst the exiting drivers that were not taught in their home countries the difference between left and right. The best part of this store is the pharmacy. I recommend not going to the pharmacy at peak hours due to the very long lines with only two windows servicing everyone. The pharmacists are quick, efficient and friendly as long as you can look past the incomprehensible accents and fermented cabbage breath. One may notice pharmacy customers that don’t have health insurance picking up their gigantic bags of multiple prescriptions and only paying $ 3.00, while working people with health insurance pay top price. Rite Aid has the usual selection of drugstore type items as well as brand name products-that look like the real brand name items, but something in the color of the packaging is slightly ‘off’. Are these factory rejects or something more sinister, like black market knock-offs, cooked up in some Asian slave labor factory? Or are they expired products that are re-dated? No matter I suppose. If you’re already purchasing generic prescription psyche medications here then some lead based shampoo or Ebola dairy treats are not going to cause you anymore noticeable damage.

The store itself is just okay, but I really like the Pharmacy. The staff is so friendly both over the phone and in person. They are quick and helpful, too. Plus, I had to fill a prescription not covered by insurance so I compared prices before purchasing and Rite Aid was $ 10 cheaper than CVS. I might not buy everything here, but will keep having my prescriptions filled.

And to think… I used to think my Walgreens in Somerville was ghetto. This place makes my old pharmacy look like Nordstroms. This newly-converted Rite-Aid just had the«weird» vibe all over. I didn’t much care of Brooks Pharmacy to begin with, and I don’t see how this is much of an improvement. Shelves were empty and it just seemed like there was something missing or off about this store. Also… prices = astronomical. I didn’t see any sales or deals anywhere either. And then I got to the pharmacy corner of the store. First of all, I was surprised to see it open at 8:30 on a Saturday night. It’s not even a 24-hr store. The second feature of this pharmacy to get under my skin, was the ridiculous waiting time with 15 of my closest new friends. A note to the staff of the pharmacy: WHATAREYOUDOINGBACKTHERE? Are you really filling pill bottles now? What have you been doing all day? Is this really the time to be screwing around? And finally… once the girl behind the counter determined they did not have my prescription and my doctors office did not call them that day — I was relieved to leave. Now I can start over again with a less weird/creepy pharmacy.
