Salon 3

My last review should have been 5 stars. After searching high and low for a decent stylist in the Virginia/​Washington DC/​Maryland area, I should give Salon 3 ten stars.
We (including my hair) missed you so much.

I decided not to get a relaxer this time and just do a press and curl. I have never had my hair flow so freely without a relaxer. Raquelle did a good job with my hair. Only negative comment is the wait time. I waited almost five hours. But I will definitely go back.

I been coming here for a long time. Sheena is my stylist, but all of stylist are good!! Great customer service never disappointed, shop is clean, friendly atmosphere … My daughter gets her hair done by Raquel she is awsome, my baby girl is always smiling when she leaves!

Salon 3 on Talbot Ave in Dorchester, is by far the best salon I have been to in Boston. I have been going there for over 8 years now and every visit has been a pleasant one. This salon caters to all hair types and whether you need a simple wash and set, trendy color, chic cut, glamorous updo, or a perfect weave this place will hook you up every time. I know as I have had all those styles done at one point in my many visits. As most females, my hair is very important to me so I always seek out the best and was happy to be recommended to Sheena at Salon 3. Sheena is my personal stylist and she has always treated me like a star client. Sheena is the reason my hair is always healthy, bouncy, and growing. She has styled me for many big occasions, international trips, weddings, and work holiday parties. Even when I got overly stressed and suffered from a random case of alopecia, she nursed my bald spot right back to life and it is fully grown in and you would never even know it was there now. I am constantly told how great and healthy my hair looks, and am always happy to recommend Salon 3 when asked where I get my hair done. I see Sheena mostly, but every stylist in the salon does a great job, you can never go wrong. The Salon itself is also very nice to be in, very clean, professional, and fabulously decorated inside with a happy and warm atmosphere. The salon is very popular so there can be a wait at times depending on the day you go, but the results are well worth the wait.
Overall, Salon 3 has it all, professional and friendly stylists, lovely shop, and fair prices. I intend to go here for as long as I am able!

I love this salon. The location is great and the décor is beautiful with a nice ambience (the gospel music in the background was a plus). Today was my first time there and Elena did an amazing job. I have natural hair and she gave me a blow out with amazing body. I can’t remember the last time I had my hair flowing in the wind– it definetly didn’t happen when I had a relaxer. She was highly knowledgable and her reccomendations had me looking forward to coming back.

I looooooove this salon!!! It is such a fun and warm environment. Raquelle has been doing my sisters and my mother’s hair for the past 3 or 4 years now and they always come out looking amazing! The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and the hairdressers are funny as well. If your comfortable with reggae music on blast and constant patois from everyone then you will be fine lol (I feel right at home being jamaican myself)
I got a wash and set and by the time Raquelle was done with my hair it felt and looked like I had a touch-​up or something. I have never had a bad experience when I went there at all. The wait can be a bit much sometimes especially when it’s busy on the weekends. Other than that I would absoultely reccomond this salon to everyone
