I have rheumatoid arthritis, therefore I cannot handle a large garbage can. I live in a condo and must pull the can around the building and up a hill. I have signs ALL OVER the can stating that it is garbage. In the past 6 months my garbage has been left sitting on the curb 6 times and picked up only if I stand at my door and watch them or stand by my can. I wish I could refuse to pay them but payment is taken out of my mortgage so they get paid even when they refuse to take my garbage. One day I took my can across the street so they would take it on their return. The man refused to take my garbage until I stood in front of his truck. He was EXTREMELY rude. What recourse do I have and who should I contact ? Most of the telephone people are rude and tell you they will come the next day, and they don’t come.
