Glad this is down in Atlanta! I came to know Kung Fu Tea really well in NYC… sometimes I make a trip out to Buford Hwy just to have a bubble tea. My go-to drink is a hot honey green tea with ½ honey and the herbal jelly! Oh-so-good. It reminds me of new york… and glad it tastes the same. Their tapioca pearls are also perfection. I try not to get the tapioca because it makes me super full… but from time to time i’ll treat myself. My husband orders the regular milk tea with red bean which he LOVES. Love you Kung Fu Tea.

I absolutely love this place, me and my boyfriend fell in love, it’s our go to place. I recommend trying the passionfruit Green Tea, it’s the best and The passion fruit slush is also amazing. I really recommend this place and the staff are really friendly and will help out if needed.

Taro milk tea and milk green tea are the best. Other flavors are ok. People like the regular kung fu milk tea but I think it’s whatever. 3 ½ star. I like sweet huts drinks a little better but my wife likes it here better. So it’s a 3 – 4 star

Now that the weather is heating up and summer is quickly approaching, I’ve been craving more fruity, lighter drinks. It’s been nice deviating from my usual Oolong Mlk Tea and trying new flavors! Some of my recent go-to drinks: 1. Yogurt Orange: this drink is only available on the weekends. It tastes so refreshing(literally like freshly-squeezed orange juice) and is the perfect summer drink — I often get it without toppings or boba. The yogurt flavor is subtle; really, the strongest flavor you’ll taste is the orange, so it’s a tasty drink when you want a break from the more classic milk teas. 2. Lychee Punch: also super fruity and refreshing. This is a sweet, lychee-flavored drink(no milk or tea added) with real lychee pieces in it. Like the yogurt orange juice, the lychee punch also is sufficient on its own, but it’s tasty with lychee jelly or boba as well.

I have been to Quickly, Sweet Hut, Boba Mocha, and various boba tea places in Atlanta, and Kung Fu Tea is the best one. My favorite is the iced golden oolong boba tea. It has a strong tea flavor(which most boba tea places do not have) and the sweetness and creaminess of the milk complemented it very well :)

A must stop once your coworker turns you on to these teas and you live in Charlotte! We got a drink each to have right away and then 4 more drinks to go. When you get drinks to go, be a pro and ask for no ice so they don’t get watered down! We brought them back home, popped them in the fridge and savored them for a couple of days.

First time ever at this spot and it was pretty cool. A lot of traffic coming in and out and I can see why. There are so many teas and coffees to choose from. I had the oolong milk tea with bubbles as my topping i think that’s what it was. Anyways it taste really good and will most definitely be returning for more.

Tastes good but two negatives: 1. it’s a small space, 2. in the summer, there was a cockroach crawling up from a corner of the place… My friend had to kill it. I’m sure it’s from the outside but this is intolerable. (written on jul2015, edited on may 2016)

OOOOH, I like this one! That was my reaction when I took a sip of the Winter Melon Milk Green Tea with bubbles($ 4.75). Should I back up? I visited this Kung Fu Tea location on a Saturday night and I gotta say, this one definitely has their atmosphere game locked down, compared to the Location in Duluth. Just a disclaimer right from the start, parking is hard to come by, so too are seats, as this kung fu was BUSY busy, with a line that almost went out the door on a Saturday night. To their credit, the staff moved the line right along, and teas were coming out left and right, without skimping on customer service(i.e. taking a moment to explain to me the type of teas that are their better sellers with a long line behind me. Kudos guys for getting it right!) Getting back to their Winter Melon Milk Green Tea, I think this is a flavor exclusive to this Kung Fu location, or i’m not very observant, but anywho, the flavor didn’t have a strong bitter green tea taste at a all, nor was it overpowering with sweetness. Really smooth green tea, with just a hint of melon. Sadly, the bubbles were a little on the harder side this time, but maybe they just had a bad batch? Located off Buford Hwy, not too far from the interstate, it’s easy to find, and actually easy to get out of, but on weekend nights, you’ve been warned to at the least carpool. Fun atmosphere, tasty bubble tea as many reasons as flavors to come back for more. If you’re in the area, check them out!

Very quick service. The staff here are very nice and polite and was able to provide a well detailed explanation of the drinks. The drink I ordered is the matcha red bean slush, very well made and blended with the correct amount of sugar and ingredients. Overall experience(1 – 5, 5 being highest): 5 Ambience: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Drinks’ quality: 5 Staff: 5 This is a great place for work, and social hang out. Prefer this over Starbucks.

If you need a bubble tea fix and don’t want to be crushed in a line as the belt line this is the place. The staff is super friendly, and will definitely steer those of your who are more adventurous with your teas to fun new flavors. For me, they are quick and super reliable. Its small, and sometimes they get slammed but the tea is great.

Ok. ok. I know that I rated this place a 3⁄5 stars before. but now. I really really enjoy their GOLDENOOLONGMILKTEA with BOBAANDPUDDING!!! YUMMY!!! The texture of the pudding is way too soft and mushy for me, BUT I will make an exception because their honey boba balls are very tasty!!! YUM-O!!! I got it in a large!!! WOW!!! I guess I had a sweet-tooth moment. It was REALLYBUSY today! The line was really long today… maybe because it was EASTERSUNDAY? Yep!!! But yes, I have to agree with my sister, Angela S. that this place beats all boba tea places in Georgia! Yep! Unless there’s one or some place ya’ll think I should try and that ya’ll think it’s better than here!!! HAPPYRESURRECTIONDAY aka easter!!! Golden Oolong Milk Tea(M) — $ 3.25;(L) — $ 4.00 Boba balls and Pudding were an extra charge of $ 0.50 each. But I think it’s well worth the price!

I absolutely love this place. No other bubble tea place is more satisfying than Kung Fu Tea’s bubble tea. The main reason why their bubble tea is good has to do with how concentrated their tea is. It’s not all powder. You can actually taste the true flavor of their bubble teas. My absolute favorite is the oolong milk tea with lychee jelly. I am so addicted. I keep going back. Seating can be an issue so I suggest you getting it togo instead. FYI: They only accept credit cards if your order is more than $ 5. Bring cash just in case!

The bubble tea is great here. They let you decide on your level of sweetness and amount of ice, which is nice considering you usually have to ask specially for this at other places. One drink I really love here is the orange green tea. Their only real downside is that they charge extra for toppings(boba), and it’s a little more expensive than other places(like Quickly) already.

KFT is a really solid place for bubble tea in a great location. It’s located next to SoKongDong and close to a whole bunch of restaurants on Buford Highway, making it a popular go-to spot for dessert. Unlike most bubble teas on Buford Highway, there’s a more legitimate ‘tea’ taste than sweet taste in their drinks(even in the milk teas), which I’m sure alot of people appreciate(myself included). I also appreciate being able to customize the sugar and ice levels in my drink. It’s a really cool-looking place to hang-out, but it’ll get pretty loud and crazy on Friday /Saturday nights especially. During those times, you really need to pay attention when they call out order numbers because they don’t check the receipt and will let anyone take your drink. I really wish they had a better system for that because I’ve had my drink stolen a couple times(sadface). No worries though: if you kindly explain to them what happened, then they’ll be pretty cool about it and make your drink right then and there.

Taro Slush, oh baby, you make me feel even more alive, It seems everything else is not as tasty, especially only for four dollars and twenty-five. When I drink fast, it gives me brain freeze, I forget it’s summer at all, Especially when I slurp down those beautiful, fresh, and yummy tapioca balls. Or pearls, whatever, you want to call, You will inhale it, and say«so good!» using a large plastic straw. Do so on a table, there’s plenty of room, Asians be up in this joint more so than the celebration of a new moon. Kung-Fu Tea, I heart you, we need to be friends, I’ll return to Buford Highway, in the future, again and again. Fin.

Angela H. is right. This may be the very best bubble tea place ever and if it’s not, I’d be glad to try out other suggestions. I’ve tried most of the more popular places in the Atlanta area, and maybe even some of the less popular ones, with some in the BuHi ‘hood. Each time I write a review for KFT, my rating creeps up a star and this time, I’ve reached the highest at 5 stars. And it’s all because of one tea: Golden Oolong Milk Tea. Either with no sugar and boba or 30% and no boba. These are my two go-to combination, the common factor being the oolong tea. Holy f*ck. Seriously. That’s how good this tea is. I used to be a milk tea hater and now all I dream of is this creamy, slightly bitter drink. I am competing with Angela for dukedom and it’s not even intentional! I can’t help but stop by every few days. Confession: I just got 2 not even an hour ago. One with boba(as explained above and by the way, the tapioca pearls here are wonderfully soft yet chewy and always fresh) and one without, so that I can have it tomorrow while at coding school. This is just how grave these cravings get for me. My better half, Arnaud T., loves the Grapefruit Green Tea, which has free grapefruit juice in it. He claims it’s wonderfully refreshing, especially during these dog days of summer. I’ve had the Orange Green Tea, which is now only available on weekends(I wonder why…) and it is better than the place down the street where I used to order a drink with a similar name. I tried a few visits ago the Peach Oolong Tea and liked it decently enough. It wasn’t good enough to overthrow my fav. My sisters both have found drinks they like, which include the taro slush and the house milk tea(whatever that’s called). I’m curious to try Wow Milk Tea, just because the name is promising a lot. Daniel B. also suggested the White Gourd tea, which I may eventually test out. But while I am usually really adventurous and love trying new stuff, I always end up with my usuals, which one of the super cool and friendly guys there knows by heart now. There is no better tea for me in all the places I’ve gone and trust me, I have been on the lookout. (As an aside, I’ve tried the matcha milk tea or however they call it and I won’t vouch for that one, as I have been disappointed multiple times – not enough real matcha, which is expensive shizzz, and too much sugar.)

Im sad that i have to take off a star from Kung Fu Tea in this updates. We came back several time and try other milk teas but most of the time the drinks has no tea flavor at all, and taste like 90% milk. Especially the most recent visit both me and my friend got the Wow milk tea, which is like 99% milk, and then we both got stomach ache from them because they use some kind of lactose free milk that we were both got allergic to. We wish they have regular milk as alternative option.

This place was a good break from Sweet Hut(my top favorite Bubble Spot). I only wish they offered the great pastries. They have a few bagged pastries but they aren’t freshly baked and taste just OK I really don’t like the $ 5 min. CC purchase. I didn’t have cash or check so of course I had to get a pastry to make my total 5.00. Should have just gotten a medium or large tea instead of the small. I tried the gourd green tea. It was alight. It tasted like a honey tea. I prefer the milk teas and will try these next time. I like that you can adjust the amount of ice, sweetness and customize it all the way. I have to come back and try other teas and update my review. I just haven’t found the love here yet.

As the Unilocal Duchess of Kung Fu Tea(KFT) Atlanta for the longest time now, it’s way past time for me to review my favorite boba/bubble tea place. It’s only fitting as May 2015 marks KFT’s 5-year anniversary, and it’s certainly a milestone to celebrate. And I’m not simply stating that KFT is my favorite boba place in Georgia — it’s actually way better than«the best»(arguably) boba joint in Los Angeles, Half & Half Tea House. Sure, I haven’t been to every single place in Georgia and California that serves boba drinks, but I can confidently tell you KFT serves THE absolute BEST boba(tapioca balls) I have EVER had. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong! Note: Please do NOT go into a KFT expecting that prices for the drinks should be similar to Quickly or even Sweet Hut. You will be paying higher prices for the better quality and taste of the made-to-order beverages and boba. | Drinks | I always order the same thing — Golden Oolong Milk Tea with boba, «regular» sweet, and less ice. As other Unilocalers may have stated, you can adjust the level of sweetness according to your taste — either 100%(regular), 70%, 50%, 30%, or 0%(not) sweet. I’m not usually a «sweets» person, but the Golden Oolong Milk Tea with boba is a weakness of mine. It’s hard to describe the taste, but trying the Golden Oolong Milk Tea(per other Unilocalers’ tips) after getting the«regular» black or honey milk teas at other boba joints for years changed my life. I have now been completely spoiled with the amazing quality and taste of KFT’s Golden Oolong Milk Tea and can never go back to just your average black milk tea. The hubs loves the Taro Milk Tea and swears KFT’s is the best. We recently tried the Taro Slush at less(70%) sweet, and it was also pretty tasty. *Tip — Don’t order boba with slushy drinks because the ice will freeze the tapioca balls and ruin the texture and flavor.* | Boba | The tapioca balls are always the perfect texture and consistency — not too soft but not too firm — and *just* sweet enough. KFT makes the boba fresh every few hours, so they may run out every now and then. Although it happened to me once — and I was extremely disappointed because I didn’t have time to wait an extra 20 minutes for a fresh batch of boba — the truth is, it truly only happened just that once. The«café» itself is not set up to be a comfortable spot to hang out with large groups of friends for hours at a time. They do offer free Wi-Fi, but it’s honestly best to just grab your drinks to-go, which is what the hubs and I usually do. Unless the place is empty(which is rare), expect to wait at least 10 minutes for your drink to be made to order. Watch the machines shake up your drinks! It’s a very amusing sight for newbies and regulars alike. Even though the hubs and I live about 30 minutes away, I must have my KFT fix at LEAST once a week, and occasionally more often. With the exception of maybe two or three times(out of dozens of visits), my Golden Oolong Milk Tea with boba has stayed very consistent and delicious. Overall, Kung Fu Tea Atlanta gets 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. Employees are usually pretty friendly, and I have already gone on and on about the quality and taste of their drinks and boba. The ½ star deduction is due to two factors — the $ 5 minimum to use a credit card(so bring cash if you’re only buying one drink) and the limited parking. I know the parking situation isn’t entirely KFT’s fault since they share the lot with very popular restaurants, such as So Kong Dong. However, it’s still something that really irritates me because if the parking lot is full, there isn’t anywhere else to park — even if you just want to grab a drink to-go. Nevertheless, if you are searching for the best boba place, not only in Georgia, look no further than KFT! Happy 5-year anniversary, Kung Fu Tea!!! =) Looking forward to celebrating many more with you! Love, Angela~
