One of my all time favorites here. I haven’t found a good sub place that has a good Italian sub since I was in Athens until I came here. Definitely a nice hole in the wall type of place.

Baldinos is one of the best sub shops that I’ve experienced since living up north. The bread is soft, and they veggies are fresh. The service is great, they are fast, and clean. You can also get pastas there or other items that go good with sandwiches. I personally prefer just a bag of kettle cooked chips. The prices are fair, but definitely worth the experience. My only complaint is the limited parking. I love this place.

I was looking for a really good cheese steak sub. I was shocked to find out that this place had a great cheesesteak. They’re are very generous with the steak and toppings. I recommend them over the cheese steak from the Mad Italian… The best cheese steak I had my trip to Philly…

I am a hoagie snob. With that being said, I really like this place. I have only gotten their Italian hoagies, which are very good. Good bread, and they know what they are doing. I do not love that they use jalapenos for hot peppers, and not banana or cherry peppers. But ah well. I have yet to try a hot sandwich though. The place stays busy, I come for lunch about once a week, and the price is right. Busy lunch time hours will have a line, but well worth it.

«Classic» If you’re looking for a sub shop that can be described in one word. BALDINOS. Look no further, is the one stop shop. You can get soups, salads, desserts and pasta, but the SUBS. Oh the subs!!! Personally; my favorite is a toss up between the steak and cheese with mushrooms and the meatball. Classic by nature, but the fresh baked bread and care to making delicious sandwiches is what sets Baldinos apart from the other chains. I recently was reintroduced to the shop by my move back to this part of town. While the move was not appreciated, the revival of local cuisine is a well received change from all the chain establishments that surrounded me before. The added bonus is that spots like Baldinos offers daily specials and a $ 3.49 weekly that fits all budgets and flavor profiles. I’d stop in everyday, if there weren’t so many other good offerings surrounding the area. Stop it, get the meatball, whole. You won’t be disappointed!

OMG! This place has been here forever and is always good! The side macaroni or potato salad is a little on the skimpy side, but nice big sandwiches!

The subs are delicious. I always order the ham and turkey. Yummy to my tummy and it’s cheap.

Best Italian sub in Atlanta. The Cheeseteak is very good too. And the prices are pretty reasonable.

Undoubtedly the best sub shop I have ever eaten. The bread is always so fresh and the meat is not your ordinary processed crap you get at other shops. They also have spaghetti and meatballs that awesome that is served with the freshest rolls. Give it a try you’ll never go anywhere else!

My Sister told me about this place. She said their subs are amazing, so I came and check it out and now I’m amaze too. Theirs Subs are the most authentic and traditional subs I had in long time.

Best subs ever! Subway who? I mean I love Publix subs but even they have to bow down to Baldinos. I get the turkey and cheese foot long and they are HUGE! The pasta salad is amazing too. That dressing on it is something serious. You can taste a hint of dill in the pasta salad(which I love). It’s always crowded and service is always fast and friendly. Too bad they aren’t closer, I would be in trouble. The bread they use on the sub, the flavor of the turkey and the dressing on sandwich are why the subs are so incredible here. Super fresh and just the best. No comparison! :-)

I usually wind up at Baldino’s during the lunch rush(12pm-3pm). During those hours parking is limited and the line is almost out the door. The great thing about it is you can get in and out rather quickly. If you don’t, it’s very much worth the wait. The inside of the shop is reminiscent of a mom and pop deli. There are a few tables, cases with fresh bread and baked goods, and an ordering counter. Sometimes when it’s busy orders will be taken before you reach the counter. If you need time to decide don’t stand in line because things move quickly. My favorite subs are the Boars Head Turkey on Italian Bread and the Tuna on Whole Wheat. The cookies are good too. Baldino’s doesn’t rely on fancy condiments, tons of cheese or a large variety of toppings. The sandwiches are served as they should be. Freshly sliced meat, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, seasonings, mayo, and oil and vinegar all served on fresh bread. They do have a few additional toppings if you choose to go that route. But why ruin a good thing? If you don’t want to spend all your coins check out the daily specials. They are $ 3.79 and change monthly.

I have passed Baldino’s For several years as I frequent the BuHi Farmers Market almost weekly. I just never felt compelled to go there. I guess I was stuck on Jersey Mikes as a favorite and am always hesitant about the freshness of most sandwich shoppes ingredients. Somehow I decided i would at least stop to see if it looked decent inside and low and behold there was a reasonable crowd inside enjoying their meals. I ordered a typical sandwich(boars head turkey sub) and was thoroughly impressed and angry that this sandwich gem has been under my nose for so long and I e been going to other overpriced minimal meat sub shops. The options are another layer of goodness. I can’t wait to try the variety!

I really love the sandwiches here! They’re very generous when it comes to the serving sizes — a half sandwich was PLENTY for me. I recommend asking them to toast your sandwich — even if it’s not in the hot sandwich menu. I’ve had their sandwiches hot and cold and they are significantly better hot. I also recommend getting the daily special, if it’s something you’ll eat. You get a bag of chips or cup of soup plus a BIG half sandwich for about 4 bucks. Seriously. You can’t beat it. The only downside to this place is the fact that there’s zero atmosphere. It doesn’t even feel like a quirky hole in the wall. It just kind of feels like a high school cafeteria. Warning — the sandwiches can take a little while to make. They slice the meat fresh for each one. But it really is great!

This is a no nonsense subshop. The menu offered a wide variety of selections. I got the Italian 6 inch and my friend got the daily special(6 inch turkey sub). Both were AWESOME. they reminded me of NY or NJ style subs. The only thing negative I really have to say about this place is that it was a little dirty(napkins strewn about, marks on the walls, debris on floor) and the gentleman that took our order seemed rude, extremely uninterested in answering our questions and in a big hurry when aside from one other customer we were the only ones in there.

Baldino’s has to be one of my favorite places to eat in Doraville, GA. I’ve been working at Doraville for over 2 years now and I got tired of every restaurant here EXCEPT for Baldino’s. Baldino’s isn’t your typical average sub place. They sell cold subs, grilled & toasted subs, hot subs, spaghetti, salad, and they have a special for parties or meetings. I usually get the cold sub with pressed ham & provolone cheese with everything on it. Everything= lettuce, onion, tomatoes, vinegar&oil, seasoning, mayo, mustard, and hot&sweet peppers. The building isn’t too big so I usually do take out after I call in to order. If you go and order there, it will take forever because it’s so busy! Especially during lunch time. If you want to eat inside, make sure you avoid lunch hours(12 – 1:30) The line runs through the whole building, so try to avoid that time. Other than the long line during business hours, I recommend this place to everyone that has Unilocal in Georgia! Oh yeah the parking lot is really small, so be on the lookout for that too.

My friends and I dined here for lunch on a Saturday. After hearing great things about this sub chain and driving past this place a million times, I was very excited to try it out. There’s plenty of parking around the front and side of the restaurant, and their lot is adjacent to a pharmacy, so I had no trouble finding a place to park. Upon walking in, you’re initially reminded that WHOA, this place has been around for a while. Everything from their bench seating to their plastic lettered signs and counter tops makes you feel like you’ve taken a trip back to a 1980’s diner, and I’m sure the lack of updates is not intentional. However, the lunch line was already forming, so they must be doing something right. I got in line and decided to order their daily special sub: the steak, equipped with lettuce, tomato, and grilled onion. I pay and sit at a table, waiting for my number to be called. Here is where I think their system is a bit faulty: I waited an especially long time for my food, and noticing everyone around me was getting their food already, I went to the counter and inquired about my number. The lady at the counter pointedly told me, «That number has already gone.» What I expected to happen next was her to just get over the situation and quickly re-make my order, however, she looks beyond the counter into the dining room, as if to search down the person who took my food. Afterwards, she yells to a few other people in the kitchen about the situation. Finally, after a few minutes, she comes back and tells me my sandwich will be right up. When I finally get around to eating my sandwich, I was really blown away by how large the sandwich is – they really are giant subs! Piled high with steak and lettuce, I had trouble maneuvering around the sandwich without a fork. The sandwich was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Because my steak was cooked on a grill, my sandwich dripped of grease, which made it lose points in my book. Overall, not the best experience.

I’ve passed by this place several times the past few years… had no idea this type of place was on BuHi. So fun! Super glad a UYE was here. Parking — I think there’s only front parking? I didn’t look in the back. But when I got there around 12 on a Sunday, the lot was pretty slammed. I was lucky; someone was leaving. :D Space — Definitely a lot of seats available. Several tables & booths. But… I did see long lines of customers so… I could tell this place could get easily packed. Service: Just order and they’ll give you a #. Once they’re done, they’ll yell the # out near the register/deli area. Food: I just got the meatball sub. It was delicious AND just the way I want it. The bread they use is really soft and fresh. Probably one of the best sub breads I’ve had so far. Meatballs were done well. Best part: they use a special kind of cheese: D Whatever they use, was barely visible/not heavy at all. Definitely my fav kind of sub! I really should expand to other items, but I always stick to my guns haha. Oh and they way they cut the bread: it’s like a sub/hot dog style. No side leaks: D #bestwaytoeat! I hate it when my sub leaks, so it’s nice to find a shop that does it differently.

Well, if you are looking for a close to authentic NY style sub then this is your place. Found out about it years ago from when I was in College in Marietta(their original location). As i was driving along Buford Hwy spotted this location and its been on ever since! Love their everyday specials menu, which allows you to try all types of subs, which is how i picked the one i liked the most, the combination sub! Sides are amazing: potatoe salad is good, but the macaroni salad is banging! Check it out!

So, I’m a Jersey Girl at heart, definitely. They don’t make subs down here like they do up north. I don’t live far from this place at all and I didn’t even see it. Not sure how we found it. Probably Unilocal!or something but once I found it, I had a sub 3 days in a row. The guy behind the counter was extremely friendly & told me I’d be back and he was absolutely correct! I’ve gotten the cheese steak and the Boar’s Head Turkey. The cheese steak was 5 of 5, no doubt. I only got this sandwich because the first day I came it was the daily $ 3.49 special. I wasn’t disappointed to say the least. Now, the BH Turkey! This sub is everything I wanted & more. The subs are made right in front of you & to order. So, I can see exactly what they’re doing & ask for more condiments if needed. The bread is definitely baked fresh & the meat is delicious! I’ll be back again for sure! Probably tomorrow.
