This place totally looks like a place where your average home owner should not be going into. It looks like a wholesale marble/granite yard that you would expect only contractors use. This is not the case, Intercontinental Marble is open to the public. Also, don’t be fooled by the name, they also sell granite and quartzite, no just marble. About 2⁄3 of their floor space is dedicated to marble. That said, they still have a large selection of granite, as it makes up most of the 1⁄3 floor left. They have a very small selection of quartzite. But the few quartzite stones they have a really great. We have visited a couple of places looking for granite for our kitchen, as well as for our master bathroom and laundry room. When we entered, we were immediately greeted by a few of the employees(assuming sales staff). Harold was the salesman that ultimately helped us. Harold is awesome. He is knowledgeable about all of the stock(and prices) they have on the floor as well as what is on clearance in the back yard. On top of that, he was very helping in choosing the proper stone based on colors and warm/cool tones. I didn’t expect a person selling wholesale stone to be so up to speed on interior design and be able to use our color samples to direct us to great stone choices. He also educated us on the types of stone and which was were harder and softer so we can understand durability. He made sure we checked out the outside back yard to see all of the stones they have on clearance(which are incredibly priced from as little as $ 5/sq foot, but most were around $ 9/sq ft). Although several of the granite slabs outside were beautiful, we ended up selecting a nice piece of granite from inside because the tones matched our color samples perfectly. Since the price was right we opted to buy 3 full slabs, so we could also do our backsplash in granite. Based on our color scheme of our master bathroom, Harold warned us that granite would be too busy of a look and fight with our current design. He suggested we consider a solid surface like quartz(which they don’t sell). We were a little disappointed that we wouldn’t be able to find the stone for our bathroom too on this same trip. However, we asked Harold if he had anything that could match our color scheme. Unexpectedly, we he directed us to some of the marble. We spotted a gorgeous grey marble slab that we decided to get for our bathroom. Lucky for us, the slab was big enough that we could do both the bathroom and laundry room with the same piece. Throughout the process, Harold moved all the slabs off the racks that we wanted to look at, so we could get a good view of each slab. Our experience here has really been stellar. Harold is great, the prices are great, the select is very good and the whole process went smoothly all the way through placing the actual order. We have not yet received our stone, so I will update this review once that happens.

After you visit the others – and maybe get ignored in some of the retail darkly lit places(no names mentioned) — you will find this exceptional quality granite and marble yard and their great selection, prices, and depth of knowledge. Slabs of granite inside and out, huge selection, sold by a staff that knows their stuff… No disco dollies here but don’t you want granite or marble from people who can advise you well. While it looks like it is only to the trade, it is not, but the trade goes here for the selection and quality.
