Let me start off by saying I’m Venezuelan and came with my family and we were all turned off by this place. They really give empanadas a bad name. They were so thick and doughy and sweet. Why would the empanadas be sweet? They were pretty terrible. We’re not coming back.

This place only has 4 plates to serve. Lesson learned … Don’t ever order a Bandeja Paisa at a Venezuelan cantina basically. The food looked and tasted like it had been laying out all day. When u ordered they just heated everything up including the egg and served it. Then I get my bill and it has the 7% sales tax PLUS1% tourist tax. I’m not a tourist I lived in Doral for over 7 years. Just wish for $ 19 you should get some fresh food. El Arepazo que Robaso. I must add its been about 4 hours and my stomach still hurts!!!

If you want to try venezuelan food this is a good place. This place is like a buffet restaurant all the food is already cooked you just have to ordered :). However, I didn’t have the time to try this time the food. I try a couple months ago the empanada and it was really good. Today, I went there an order a papaya juice and it was ok.

This is not a gourmet restaurant. We needed something quick to go and passed by the area. I got Cachapa Tocuyana and it was delicious. The corn, cheese and pork combination was just amazing. The portion was very filling and can easily be split between 2 not extremely hungry people. My wife ordered Arepa Melusa. I was also great.

3 estrellas y no por la comida, sino por el servicio! He ido a varios restaurantes venezolanos y jamás había tenido tan mal servicio. Por otro lado, las arepas son buenas, pero necesitan cambiar personal con urgencia.

Went there once for a quick bite. It was around 4 pm. My fiancé and I ordered two arepas and two bottles of water. We waited about 15 minutes and asked how much longer it was going to take. Their answer was«10 more minutes, we didn’t have arepa dough ready.» We waited 10 more minutes and still nothing. When we asked again what was taking so long, the lady told us it was not ready yet. We got so annoyed that we cancelled our order, requested a refund, and left. We were hungry and angry that we waited so long for nothing. Never going back.

I absolutely love this place! It’s perfect for a quick snack. My son loves the tequenos(a better version of a mozzarella stick). They have fresh juices as well. The actual location to get in and out is a bit awkward but once your there its fine. It’s a casual place where you order, sit and they’ll call you to pick up your food. They do have many hot Venezuelan traditional plates I haven’t tried any yet. I mostly go for the bread, arepas, empanadas, tequenos etc. I’ve tried every single one of those and they are delicious! Perfect place for a quick bite!!!

The food is mediocre the Christmas(Navidad) plate is over price, hayaca no good the pork sandwich has no flavor, they not offer any sauce for the sandwich, we had to ask for water three times and they service a very small glass of water But the most critical is they charge a tourist tax even we said we are citizens, You cant imagine how much money the owner makes with this tax

Overpriced and the portions are insanely small. Honestly this is a terrible representation of Venezuelan food. I would never take any of my friends there to show them what the food from my country is suppose to be. The only thing they have going for them is that is the best well known because the Venezuelan political organizations tend to have their meetings and press conference there. If you want to eat Venezuelan, you’ll be better in any other restaurant in Miami.

0 stars, dont go here, there are lots of other good Venezuelan restaurants in doral with way better service and food. This place is a waste of money and time. The last time I ordered take out from here, when I finally got to work to sit down and eat my lunch, as I picked up the arepa I noticed there was a baby ROACH attached to the top of it. This place is disgusting, dont go here unless you want to get sick. When I called the restaurant to them what happened, some lady that spoke english told me she was the owner and her exact response to me was, «well, so what, what do you want me to do about it.» Needless to say I will never return to this establishment and the company I work for will never call this place again either after I told them what had happened to me. Took my wife(American) to show her the great Venezuelan taste but sadly the service was rough, few of the dishes we wanted had runout and last the food was not fresh(Arepas hard and cold). Never again, what a shame because is a landmark for us Venezuelan’s in Miami.

Terrible… I came here about a year ago and it was the best place for arepas, hands down. Just went back today and it was absolutely disgusting. The arepas were undercooked and underseasoned. There was also trash all over the floor and tables. One of the owners walked in, looked around casually, ordered some food and just left without telling the employees to clean up. The employees are also clearly frustrated and unhappy which leads to poor service and poor food quality. All in all: 0 out of 5.

Back to back Venezuelan food but I really had to try this place after the experienced I had last night at Boca’s Grill. Food is good, Chicha very good and prices are at least $ 1.00 less than Boca’s Grill even though this place is nicer, bigger and with at 8 big flat screen tv’s. I definitely will come back to try their reina pepia

The worst Venezuelan food out there. The place is dirty and the food is indescribable bad. I ordered a reina pepiada and I could not swallow it. I noticed that other customers left their plates intact. El Arepazo 2’s theme is disgusting food, disgusting place and disgusting service. They should consider changing the name to El Asquerazo 2 or better to make it more powerful El Asquerazo to the square.

My boyfriend and I went here after a cruise and needed somewhere close to our airport hotel to eat at. After a week of delicious food we were sort of expecting just some ho-hum food that sounded good. I’m glad to say that we were proven wrong. The steak empanadas were some of the best that I have every had! We got the mixed platter, thinking that would be enough for us to share a variety, two apiece. They were filling enough that we couldn’t finish it. Try as we might.

What a disappointment, the place looks like an ugly school cafeteria, the 2 ladies behind the counter looked like this was the last place in earth they wanted to be in, food choices were limited: they couldn’t grill arepas, only fry them. And when I asked for the ones left on display she said«I wouldn’t eat those». Décor is political, and all over the place, asymmetric, unorganized. Food: meh, nothing was great, just ok. The best thing I had? The 1oz hot sauce This place could be so much better if they only changed the décor, staff, food, ambiance, service.

Arepas are the way to go when you are in Doral! Juicy and fresh authentic Venezuelan arepas definitely here. I had a «Reina Pepiada» with with shredded chicken, avocado and queso guayanés for lunch today and it was delicious. Thumbs up for the quick and friendly staff. Also for all those orange juice lovers like me! They squeeze the oranges there at the moment you order it. Really good place to grab an are-pita

This Arepazo is located in the heart of Doral… an area with a heavy Spanish influence who primarily tend to be Venezuelan. I’ve taken note of the low ratings assuming its not a favorite amongst its own people and I can see why to some degree. After trying the Reina Pepiada arepa reccomended to me i must say I was slightly disappointed. There were no bold flavors, no unique seasonings and nothing outstanding about it. The chicken and avocado mix was surprisingly bland. The cachapa guayanesa on the other hand was sweet and flavorful but extremely greasy which leads me to prefer the Colombian version arepa de choclo. I also ordered a watermelon juice… great; and a guava and cheese tequeno which was okay but nothing was a wow for me. I didn’t experience bad service as others have noted and the location is clean with plenty of seating which is a plus, menu is pretty varied and service is fast. Although the food was not a hit for me, I am not giving up and will maybe try a more typical and off the beaten path spot for Venezuelan food… although their staples seem to be just playoffs of other foods. What’s a typical dish for Venezuelans?

I love the deliciously cheesy Cachapas here! The Cachapas are made with sweet yellow corn and filled with soft white cheese. I usually add ham in mine. I’ve also tried another one of their signature dishes-Patacon. They’re pressed plantains with shredded beef on top. You can choose from topping it with chicken, pork, or mixed if you prefer all three. That’s what I do. The portions are great for sharing or just for one if you’re not going to try anything else. If you have room for dessert, the guava and cheese tequeños are really yummy. Some other options on the menu range from hamburgers, salads, and soups to traditional parrilladas(barbecued beef, pork, or chicken). Everything is up for grabs!
