Jimmy’s Burgers and Wings

HORRIBLE DELIVERY SERVICE! The food is good. seasoned well. My advise call ahead and pick up your order. I ordered online today at 2:25– food was not delivered until 4:35, and the place is right down the street from house.

I decided to order a philly cheese steak which was a bad idea. It was so poorly put together and tasted nothing like the Phillis I am use to. But what can I expect from the cashiers attitude

So sad. They opened a new place in Munster and I went in to order a hot dog and fries. I am a senior citizen and one dog is enough. They only have a two hot dog special and the single was more expensive. I walked out. You try to push food but quantity is necessarily the best way.

Called in my order on my way home picked it up cashier has an attitude gave me my food traveled 10 min to get home just to find out had the wrong order. Then when i called they knew but didn’t even call me to possibly turn around. When asked could i get a fresh order employee acted as if i asked her to turn water into wine. Dropped back by after huge inconvenience n given my original order with no condiments and food was cold i will not be back ever.

The food here is nothing spectacular, but it is what you would expect from this kind of restaurant. Not bad, but not great. What is poor, however, is the customer service. I’ve had food from Jimmy’s before, but I ordered it directly from Grub Hub without any issue. When trying to call the restaurant directly… good luck! Terrible telephone presence and the person was in such a hurry to get off of the phone that she nearly hung up on me! You cannot pay for your order using a CC by phone, which may be for your own safety, but don’t hang up on a customer before that is even discussed!

The first time I went to Jimmy’s, I ordered a Gyro and it was hot and fresh. I ordered another gyro during my second visit and it was room temperature. My fries were burnt and cold. The fact that my gyro wasn’t hot and fresh during my second visit surprised me because I was waiting 15 – 20 mins for it.

Ordered to Chicago style hot dog meal, they have no ice tea so the bottle water is your only choice to avoid sugar and artificial sweetener. the buns were hard and stale, they come with two slices of pickles onion relish tomato and one sport pepper. I asked for extra peppers and was told it would be an additional $ 0.39 very salty and not good at all, their French fries are decent, I will never come here again.

VERY Loud and obnoxious TV sound and channel, ruins dine in eating, and conversation atmosphere, slower service, good Fries, Dry burger, can of pop, no ice or glass, limited condiments, frugal with napkins and salt, will not frequent unless it s ithe only place open at nite Flet like a ghetto turnstile joint but it is a clean place though.

They getting cheaper and cheaper they gave you containers with mild sauce halfway full, and one pepper for your polish.

Good, not great. Better than the average neighborhood Philly… but just not great. The steak on the philly was very good but could use a little seasoning. Bread was soft and sandwich was not overly greasy. I’d go again to try something different.

I ordered from Jimmy’s because I wanted chicken wings and chicken gizzards. I usually do not order from these type of establishments for home delivery. However, I was very impressed. The service was fast and came with a smile/​professional manner. My food was not pippen hot but, still good. And the next day when I reheated the leftovers, tasted good still!

Food is good… they have good deals and things actually do taste fresh and not frozen… like they say. Lol

The food lack seasoning and taste. The fries were the only thing that taste fine. I wanted the burger to be better than expect. The delivery for pick up is very slow but that’s expected with homemade burgers.

Last (maybe) and 100^th review of the year! I think it’s only fair to save a the review for a burger/​fast food joint as that’s just a guilty pleasure.
I had a double jalapeño burger from here coming back from work one late night and I must say it was GREAT! It was the right amount of grease to cheese to meat ratio.
The meal deals they have seem like a great bargain as well.
I’ll be back post-​wedding when I eat meat again and can enjoy being a foodie once more!

Not bad. Not bad at all. Wide variety of offerings and definitely good quality for fast food. Much better than expected. I wouldn’t compare the burger quality to Portillo’s, Schoop’s or even Culver’s, but it’s above average. Sign in the window says fresh, never frozen beef. Worth stopping in if you happen to be in the area.

I moved from Dolton 23 years ago and only occasionally come back to visit my Mom. I stumbled upon this place but was reluctant to go in because of past experiences with «hood» restaurants. I have to say that I was highly impressed and I could easily tell that the operator of this place knows what they are doing!
I’ve been a Corporate Exec in the restaurant industry for some time now and I’m also a certified Chef and can instantly tell when a restaurant has experience behind it. I was greeted when I entered, the cashier made eye contact, smiled, was very friendly and accommodating. My order was taken accurately and repeated back to me and I was thanked after I paid! Night and day experience from what I usually encounter when I’m in these parts. Very refreshing to see and experience! And yes… it does matter! It makes you feel welcomed and that your business is appreciated, especially when you have lived in an a different area where common courtesy and etiquette is always practiced.
Great job to the owner/​operator and management! The place was immaculate, presentable, well organized, the staff was all uniformed and consistent, the place was clean and a very welcoming environment without the separation of a bulletproof glass that as soon as I see, I drive away because it sends an unwelcoming message.
The food was great! I loved the fresh cut fries and the Philly Steak… although, I have been all over the world and have prepared and have had Philly steaks from Philly and many other places that copy it. But… I have NEVER come across a place that has a Philly Steak with lettuce and tomato on it! I had to get that on the side because that was so weird to me! My friends from Philly even thought that was very strange when I posted it on Facebook.
Overall! GREAT PLACE!!! And refreshing to see it done right!!!

I hate to give them only 3 stars because the food deserves much better than that. I’ve had a good experience before but this time the service was miserable. First the two guys I work with ordered and they mixed up their orders and gave them the opposite guys order but somehow they had the right order numbers… second, I ordered a polish that took at least 30 minutes. The reason? Because they gave it to someone else. I only get 30 min for lunch so it was extremely inconvenient to have to basically suck it down and not even and enjoy it. Both the guys I work with were finished eating before I got my food. I’ll have a hard time bringing my business back here.

I have a client right by Jimmy’s. I have tried various things and what I like the most is their burgers. I have yet to try their turkey burger.
Their fries are nice and crispy.

I tried their double turkey burger with Swiss cheese and it was delicious. The turkey was fresh and mouth watering. The fries where also cut fresh and krispy. I really enjoyed this place and will be coming back again.

I was rather impressed with this new fast casual restaurant that open in Dolton. In a area filled with plenty of food options, Jimmy’s spear heads an original flavor.
Armed with fresh sliced gyros and fresh sliced phillys not to mention fresh cut fries. Oh man it just doesn’t get any better. But wait there is more… HANDMADE BURGERS too!
If you are anything like me, I have a bit of a sweet tooth and the soft serve ice cream hits the spot. The menu is straight and to the point including boneless wings. salads and fried fish. Jimmy’s sure hits all the tastebuds.
Plenty of seating and parking available not to worry.
