I was traveling in the area with family and we stopped in for lunch. There were 6 of us and the café was not full at 1pm. We all enjoyed everything we had, the lunch special was a red chile sauce cheese enchilada, a crispy pork taco and veggie chili tamale with rice and bean. Wow tasty! The rest of the crew had steak plate, Huevos rancheros, and philly cheese sandwich with fries. The food here is so fresh and the service was great. Best food in the area during our 4 day triip.

Crazy good NM food in a nicely restored adobe. Very fresh, cooked by owner, a NM native anglo. Casual atmosphere. Limited hours. A bit off the main path. You have to look for it but worth it

My grandma loves to eat here and I bring her here every time I come to Dixon for a visit. It’s located in an adorable casita converted into a restaurant. You know this place has passed the test of time because they have been around for years. Other restaurants have tried and have not succeeded in this very same spot. I love to get thier shrimp tacos, very tasty. Also I have tried a salad from here and everything was very fresh, not to mention a generous portion. Its kind of like a self service location where you place your order at the front but then you grab your own utensils and napkins. The seating here is great, they have plenty of space inside and a nice patio for the warmer months. They have a good variety in their menu featuring some traditional new mexican plates as well as american food.

Delicious! We were staying in a rental house nearby and our only complaint was that they weren’t open on Sunday so we could have one more breakfast burrito before we left town. The chorizo burrito was full of wonderful flavors and a green chili that was the perfect combination of spiciness and pork flavor. We can’t wait to go back!

What a gem of a restaurant. If you are driving near Taos, NM. plan on stopping for a meal here. The food is terrific, one of the best meals we had in our week trip to NM. All fresh ingredients and great service. A real step up from other cafes we went to.

Cute little café in small town New Mexico, hip looking people, friendly staff. Just got coffee and a breakfast burrito, but it’s cool. Stopped in on the way from Santa Fe to a floating trip on the Rio Grande, my mother liked this new place, made the short detour to stop there.

In a quaint little town with scenic views and genuine people sits a little restaurant owned and operated by some long time locals… All of the ingredients of the calabacitas are grown in the owners garden! And with a menu that caters to vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers, any palette is sure to be pleased. I had the buffalo burger and others have enjoyed the vegetarian taco plate with green chile. So when you’re ready to take a break from the scenic drives up north or the hikes around the nearby Harding mines, stop in and enjoy a delicious meal with as many locally grown and organic ingredients as possible!
