I just spent three wonderful days with my partner at Nest Bed and Breakfast. I have to admit I’m generally not a big fan of BnBs with their enforced coziness, but Nest totally changed my mind. Sally and Marko are very adept hosts – friendly, but never intrusive and offering great information when asked. The place itself is nicely appointed with just the right measure of homey furnishings, artwork and modern conveniences. Although it is late Fall and the swimming pool and jacuzzi are closed, the grounds are still beautiful and well-kept. I can only imagine how lovely it must be to hang out in them during the warmer months. And the breakfasts were stupendous. And many of the dishes in the meals were created from vegetables and fruits from the garden. One more thing: Sally and Marko have two dogs that are very well-behaved; people who are not usually fond of dogs will have no problem being around them. I am happy to recommend this place to anyone visiting the Poconos. You’ll have a great time, as we did.

The house was very easy to find and well labeled from the street. As we drove up the path towards the house, we passed over a small cattle bridge. That immediately showed us their attention to detail. We pulled into the spacious driveway, parked and headed inside. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by our lovely hosts and their two beautiful dogs. They showed us up to our rooms and gave us a quick tour of the grounds and amenities. As we walked up to the room, Marko informed us that shoes were not allowed in the room. As soon as we stepped onto the carpet barefoot, we understood why. I won’t say anymore since it’s just something you’ll have to see for yourself. In the room, there was a flat screen TV with cable, Netflix, and Apple TV. The Apple TV was great for us because we just used AirPlay to watch our own stuff. The bathroom looked brand new and well constructed. There was a large sink and a spacious walk-in shower. The shower also functioned is a steam room, which we definitely used. Unfortunately, it was too rainy and chilly for us to go hiking. So after we had settled, we left to go visit the near by town of Milford and eat at River Rock Inn(see their page for review). When we got back, we used the jacuzzi. In the summer time, you could also use the pool. The jacuzzi had plenty of jets and even underwater lights for the nighttime, which we used. However, the patio could have probably used some more mood lighting. For example, some christmas lights strung around the nearby trees and a few lanterns above the jacuzzi would have really made it beautiful at night. In the morning, we used the steam function of the shower. When we headed down for breakfast, they already had a beautiful plate of fruits ready for us(see picture). Because my wife did not eat meat, they had prepared an egg and salmon main course. Definitely try the peach and jalapeño jam. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we hope to return. In fact, if we’re ever in the area, it’s the only place we’d stay.

It looks like we found the best B&B in the Pocono area. Everything is so great and so comfortable in Nestbed: peaceful green fenced private garden/forest area with hot tub and pool on it, very useful screen room — we could breeze a fantastic fresh air while reading or using our laptops in the evening when it was dark outside. The owners, Sally and Marco were so hospitable. One of their uniquenesses is that while they are fantastically caring, at the same time you have a full privacy. It looks like Nestbed is the best Bad and Breakfast in Poconos for those who wants to distress as well as for those who wants to have an active vacation(there are many activities available). We were lucky to choose Marko’s and Sally’s cooking — 5 stars! It is fabulously tasty and healthy. Fruits(fruit salads) and vegetables(vegetable salads) — right from their garden! So, we luckily selected an option to have both, breakfast and dinner made by Marko and Sally. We red in reviews that they have 2 famous among visitors«puppies», but what we saw — exceeded expectations. Tulo and Frodo were creators of wonderful mood from day 1(we first booked 2 days stay, but extended afterwards to stay 6 days — this was a great solution to distress after stressful work in NYC). Nestbed is very close to NYC, NJ and PA. we could not believe that we would find such jewel just less than 2 hours from NYC. We can go on and on elaborating on our happiness at Nestbed B&B, but I think many reviewers on , on Unilocal and on Trip Advisor did so. There are so many big and small details made our stay enjoyable in Nestbed! AZ&SZ

Great stay! Marko and Sally are a delightful host. The house is modern yet cozy. The rooms are more like hotel rooms than bedroom, with modern amenities. There’s also a basement completed with pool table, Wii, and vintage pinball games. I was a bit scare to stay at this B&B because I have a dog phobia but Tulo and Frodo made me feel very welcomed and relaxed. We ordered the dinner option and to our delight the food was phenomenal, made to our specifications, and it included wine. The chicken and risotto was awesome! The breakfast was a two course meal which included amazing home made granola, along yogurt and fruits with a nice presentation. We rented both rooms with our friends. We will def recommend this B&B to all of our friends and hopefully return for another Nesty weekend!

My fiancé and I found the Nest Bed to be the perfect getaway during our New Year’s Eve trip to the Poconos. The house itself is incredibly gorgeous and surrounded by breathtaking nature. Although the drive to Milford might be 20 minutes away or the ski resorts may be a half hour drive, the scenery and views are stunning and make it well worth the trips. The Nest Bed is perfect for friends, couples, or family to go out and unwind and have fun. We had dinner there, which Marko and Sally made according to our tastes(they made us swoon with the salmon and mushroom risotto and homemade applesauce) and dressed beautifully. Breakfasts were equally as delicious, with fresh-squeezed orange juice that made our mornings complete. We were really impressed with the attention to detail and how warm the home made us feel with its inviting character, which is probably due to Marko and Sally’s effortless charm. We were absolutely in love with Tulo, who couldn’t have been nicer or more well behaved. He even greeted us in the mornings by grabbing a magazine or brochure… I could’ve gotten used to that. We’re definitely going through Tulo withdrawal now that we’re back home! The pinball machines, pool table, and ping pong table in the basement definitely entertained us and gave it that extra dose of fun. We also loved the steam showers, with subway and honeycomb tiles that I wished we could take with us. I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting, so feel free to check out my blog post where I highlighted some of our favorite details from the trip. Thanks again to Marko and Sally(and Tulo!) for giving us such an amazing first B&B experience. Here’s my blog post:

This place is amazing! If you are looking for a contemporary getaway this is it! Long since passed are the stuffy floral colonial style grandma bed and breakfasts! This place is more modern than most NYC Hotels! Nest was designed, from the reclaimed wood beams to the modern room furnishings, by its owners, Mark & Sally Heiblim. The two second floor guest rooms have been newly remodeled to include steam showers, HDTV flat screen entertainment systems, restful bedding, and comfortable chairs. Nest is as well appointed as a fine hotel. Each guest room offers the same features, including queen size beds, WiFi, and iPod Dock /Clock Radio /Alarm. Your nightly rate includes breakfast(and Mark and Sally are amazing cooks!), and they have packages which include local entertainment, skiing, golf, dining and many more activities! Other amenities include: A brand new hot tub, swimming pool, gaming room(pool table, pin-ball, ping-pong table tennis and a Wii video game console(bowling rules!) If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway from the city, or just traveling, you gotta check this place out! Awesome prices too, which is always a plus…
