If bikers went out for a breakfast of pancakes and beer, they would go to Paul’s pancake barn. I know this because there were bikers eating pancakes while I was there with my family. The food is on par with average diner fare, and the atmosphere, while friendly, is nondescript. There is a very busy diner a few hundred yards up the road. I think when they get crowded, people head here. Unless there’s gold in them there pancakes, I find it hard to believe the other place is that much better. I’d eat here again.

This place is easy to drive by and not see it. Just beyond Sheetz on the right, it looks like a barn! Isn’t crowded this Saturday morning at 10. Plenty of parking. That’s the high point. Coffee was weak. Orders took 30 minutes to come out — did I mention it wasn’t crowded? Pancakes tasted like they’d been cooked in old oil. Home fries were just fried potatoes. Sausage also has the old oil taste. Cappuccino tasted like hot chocolate(good for me since I don’t drink coffee products, but not for my wife). 2nd star is for being filling and the price. One last thing: be careful with the slippery bathroom floor.

Flapjack’s is a hidden gem! The servers are always very accommodating and the food is good with super selection. It’s a good family-oriented place and frequented by the local police for lunch and dinner… they’re the ones«in the know»! Prices are lower than in other nearby diners and worth the extra half-mile trip down Route 15 South(just past 84 Lumber) to avoid crowds and noise. Easy in-easy out. As an added benefit, they have fresh desserts by the serving or as a whole at the counter. Moreover, it’s one of the few places in the area where you can be served a choice of bottled or draft beer from«part two» of the restaurant… Duke’s(in the back, adjacent the restaurant, but still separated).

The previous owners gave this place a bad reputation among we locals. It has changed drastically. I didn’t go into the bar but the restaurant was very good.

Great place. My friend told me about this place for years. Glad I finally got to see it. Wally the bartender is a quality cat. So go and have a good time

Great Breakfast food. Plenty of food for your money! My family of five picked up the Western Omelet, French Toast, Choc Pancakes and a Short Stack of regular pancakes. Grabbed extra plates and just sampled a little of everything. Not a complaint in the crew.

Flapjacks is great. If you are going to visit, I suggest going on a Wednesday. They have an awesome open mic night. Also, I had been going there awhile before I actually tried the food. I have never been a fan of bar food, but I was really impressed. The food was delicious. The wings are great too! This is a great place to stop after work for a quick beer. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have a great mix of young and old people. It can be really crowded, but they have a nice deck that is heated in the cooler months.

My husband is from the area, and we stayed in a hotel nearby. We were hungry and decided to go to Flappy’s(the local nickname), for brunch on Friday AND Sunday before leaving for Boston. It was that good… I had french toast, poached eggs, bacon, and homefries on both occasions. Get the french toast. ITWILL melt in your mouth… I promise. I’ve never tasted french toast that good… never. The staff are really nice and extremely attentive. Just get the french toast. You WON’T regret it.

4 stars for the personable bartender. One star for everything else. Entry point: why would you place a picnic table two feet from the main entrance, forcing you to walk the gauntlet through the chainsmoking locals who’ve been there since they opened… Patrons: what an odd mix of people. 3 button short sleeved polo shirted guys, one mma wannabe cowboy(big belt buckle, boots… and tapout shirt), the one girl in ugs and a sparkly sequined dress straight from the club who«forgot her id» the 20 something tatto’d girl with her buttondown preppy ‘father’ on a date and a handful of generic drunks. Never got the feeling we were welcome there, but then again this crowd couldn’t intimidate the Easter Bunny. You know it’s going to be one of those nights when someone asks you about your tatoos and you reply«I was going for ‘F Off’ but grandma talked me out of it» and the response is a lesson in grammer and spelling. Food: …ok, my fault for ordering food at a bar. But it’s hard to mess up breakfast food. «Crazy eggs» could have been crazier. Soup could have been warmer/hot, and the pie… poor pie, looked like it had been hit by a truck, it wasn’t even pie shaped. But the bartender was cool. Someone asked him if he was still dating X. He calmly pointed to his ring and said«yes.» The person said…“oh, so you two are still going out then?“ This place should get 4 stars just for the laughs.

Okay. so my first time in Pennsylvania and I wander in here, because, well it looked like a redneck-y type of place. The place is small, but the atmosphere is fun. I think there’s only about 20 bar seats all the way around, but hey, if you get one, your a lucky one. The prices are reasonable, to what I remember. I like this place mainly because I met the man I am with today and he is the reason I moved to PA! That fateful night in Flapjacks I met the love of my life… perhaps you’ll find love too in this dive bar!

Love Paul’s, this place serves a great breakfast for a modest price. The usual breakfast foods are all tasty, naturally you’ll want to try the flapjacks. Interior of the place is nothing special, and the service has always been okay when I’ve been there. They also have a good variety of take out beer. Now the funny thing about Paul’s Pancake is that behind the restaurant section there is a very rowdy townie bar that is always packed on drinking nights. It’s tough to get a drink and forget about getting a seat at the tiny bar, I think this is the only place to get a drink in Dillsburg!
