Found myself golfing here because my friends and I were looking for a change of pace. More or less I was pleased with my experience. Upon arrival the facilities and practice areas looked nice. Also the clubhouse had a bar area, which some clubs around this area lack. Unfortunately we waited in the pro shop for almost 10 minutes until a worker surfaced and could check us in. That could have been by complete accident or he could have been dealing with something else, but first impressions are everything. Once we hopped in our carts and were ready to go it wasn’t the easiest to find hole 1. There were no signs directing you where to go, this also goes for the rest of the course which caused some confusion on where the next hole was. Besides this our golfing experience was excellent. The course was excellent. The bunkers were in great shape with nice sand, unlike some of the gravel like sand at other nearby courses. The golf carts were also in great shape, equipped with GPS telling you the distance to each hole from your location. Overall I would certainly recommend coming out to Dike and giving this course a shot. Bring a map just in case you can’t find the next hole haha!

The wife and I were excited to play in Dike since all the courses in Waterloo were closed for the Waterloo Open. It was supposed to be a nice change of pace, but what a disaster! The first thing we see when we’re driving up is a bunch of empty ball buckets on the driving range and divots galore… it was a mess! Then when we’re walking up to the clubhouse we see a white garbage bag strewn on the grass, garbage spilling out of it and onto the ground. The guy inside who took our green’s fees wasn’t very friendly(though he wasn’t really rude). The tee-boxes were horrible! divots everywhere, broken tees covering the ground and practically no where to actually tee-off from. Garbage cans all full. Yikes! It’s like nobody has been tending these tees for a week or more. It was sad. The fareways were hard and underwatered and weeds are beginning to creep. I stepped in a hole just off the fareway on 2 and twisted my ankle a little, thankfully not enough to keep me from finishing. Don’t look for us to come back until we hear Fox Ridge has cleaned up their act!
