Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee

I stopped in here this afternoon hoping to find some furniture for our new house. They had a very meager selection and I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for. But that’s okay because I did manage to score a few gems. An unopened bundle of eucalyptus (normally $ 11 or $ 12 at a craft store) for $ 0.99, a beautiful framed piece of art (also never opened) for $ 12.99, a DVD collection of 4 family movies for $ 3.99, and some really great books ranging in price from $ 1.99-$ 2.99.
They have tons of knickknacks, kid’s bikes, Christmas decorations and wreaths, an awesome selection of women’s shoes, scarves galore and TONS of clothing. Most of the clothes seemed to be really nice and in great shape. I was really, really surprised at what I saw.
The staff were mostly friendly, I really liked my cashier, Donna B. My son wanted to purchase a fishing book with his own money and she treated him just like any other customer. I really appreciated that and I know my son did too. During my transaction, she asked me if I was eligible for any discounts like military or teacher. I said yes, that I was a homeschool teacher but fully did not expect that would count since I don’t have an ID card, but she gave it to me anyway! The lines were long and slow but I didn’t mind waiting, especially after the nice cashier.
We will definitely be back to support this Goodwill. It is one of the best I have shopped at in Middle TN as far as selection.
