Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

We were told 15mins for a booth and waited almost 25 mins bc the girl gave our booth away and kept putting people in front of us so we walked out and went to dennys. Thank you perkins dennys was way better anyway.

Sorry to report, it looks like Perkin’s keeps dropping it’s standards. This was a new low. Very, very slow service, maybe short on servers but, as we waited 15 minutes for a coffee and soft drink, we overheard mixed orders, incorrect items, etc. The food arrived, average quality. On checkout the cashier have multiple problems with the scanning and processing. Enough, probably won’t return.

Newly remodeled family friendly and smoke free restaurant that everyone has come to know and love. The staff is usually on the top of their game with their friendly and attentive services. What can’t you not like about Perkins? They have an all day breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and are open late. At one point in time this location was open 24 hours but now this location has scaled back their late night hours due to the lack of business during the late night hours and increased 24 hour competition nearby.

The food is very good
My only complaint is that the cook got my eggs wrong but the server made sure that the order was right
I had the waffle platter, enough food to feed a small army
The food was served quick and hot. Also they give a pot of coffee so I did not have to wait for a refill

It is standard Perkin’s affair. Good for a quick late lunch on the road. Had a bowl of chicken noodle soup was fine nothing out of the ordinary. Then I had the Chef Salad this was good size some cold cuts and cheese. Overall I got what I expected.

Let’s be serious for a moment. This is Perkins. You get the basics — — chicken, turkey, eggs, salad. Anyone that goes off the expected path, deserves what they get. Also, we cannot compare Perkins to a five star restaurant, because it is not. However, when comparing Perkins to restaurants similar in nature, it is up there at the top (I will explain why shortly).
The service is very good. I have been to many Perkins on my travels. Service is usually very good. This visit, I felt like Iced Coffee. There is no Iced Coffee on the menu. The waitress quickly stated that she will get me some coffee and a glass of ice (I know that sounds like an «of course», «obviously» moment, but you cannot imagine how many times that has not happened to me). Well. A few minutes later, the waitress returned with the that large metal holder that is used to make milk shakes, filled with ice and coffee, plus a large glass with just ice. That was Amazing.
The food. We had a salad, eggs and turkey. All were a-​ok. Nothing was bad, everything was ok. The price is unbeatable.
Now, for the single reason I continue to go back to Perkins on my travels. The chocolate silk pie. I just simply think that is the best tasting pie, hands down, and I eat a lot of desserts. I really love the taste of the pie. Here is the only problem I have with the pie. On my last 2 – 3 visits, I really feel like the slices are getting smaller. Other than the slice being too small, I simply love the pie and it is the single reason I keep going back to Perkins. In fact, sometimes I will simply go to Perkins just for a slice of the pie.

First off, if you decide to eat here you have to try the grilled muffin instead of toast. Tasted like a muffin flavored cookie. Yum! They cut it in half and Grill it. I wish they would have cut it in threes for more grilled flavor.
The omelet my husband had, was missing cheese and the meet was burnt.
My omelet was delicious but I asked for cheese on the «make your own».
Stringy home fries were hard and crunchy but I was just happy they weren’t under cooked.
Service was good/​fast. Waitress was zooming from table to table.
Bathroom walls, doors and sinks could use a good scrubbing! Ewe! They are supposed to be white!

Perkins, why have you forsaken me! I used to love going here to get bread bowl salads. They closed down the Perkins near us, so we only get out to this one once a year or so when we are visiting family. Unfortunately when we got there this time, they had totally changed their salads, and now they are full of «fresh greens», which is another word for crappy tasting fancy lettuce. So that was ruined. So I got this Chicken Biscuit southern breakfast, which was ok, but the chicken was kind of subpar quality in my opinion, it was breaded, but had fat and gristle they didn’t seem to care to take off at the factory. Plus our waitress there was pretty slow, it took forever for her to get our order, and she screwed it up. So needless to say Perkins is off my list of places to go anymore.

Got apricot salmon but instead they brought out tilapia. Waitress was nice an admired it was her fault. Food was good but not great, they did replace my fish. But no discount or nothing.
Good place to get some food after dark.

Yes, I also love their breakfast, especially the omelet and waffle.
I saw many people order their pancakes, if u like, could try it!
I order the steak as the entrees, I probably will not order that again:(
Their waffle and omelet is the best, U can’t miss it!
