Our second visit last Saturday. So far, we’ve tried the Texas Blonde, the Red neck Red, the Rais’n something Dubble??, as well as the Peanut Butter all have been great! Brian/Bryan was our server, he is awesome! The place is gonna be fantastic this Summer, they have a food truck parked in their lot, he serves up some fabulous BBQ nachos, and other yummies. They have a weird concept, a small play ground area(it’s definitely not imposing on the other patrons by any means) for the Mommies and Daddies who want to get their craft beer on, but whose judging… Come on out a give them a try. Their beer selection changes with a brainstorming of the minds and they come up with some of the most unusual albeit tasty concoctions on the face of the planet! I really like that they have normal hours, not like some of these midtown places where you have to buy some sort of tix to get in, in order to try their beers, or those where their hours are really weird, this place is open for biz! Cute, cuteness inside too and an outdoor patio to catch some good rays!

My first visit last week was great. I only had the blonde and the red ale but thought both were excellent. I’ll be back soon to try the rest of the beer selection.

This is a great place to come and hang out. They have a great selection of beer from their Tex’s blonde(my favorite) redneck red to the many different IPA’s. You can’t go wrong. Super friendly staff and some of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met. I love this place and will be back soon.

This is going to be an up and coming brewery in the area. They have built one of the nicest tasting rooms of the breweries in the area and they are doing some very interesting things with their beers. While we were here we tried the Tex’s Blonde, Mexican IPA, Golf Coast Gose and Rais’N Texas Dubble. We enjoyed the beers a lot and wished we had more time time to stay and enjoy the place. The lost star is because we felt the staff could have been friendlier and a more informative about the beers.

We came here during the day very low key. It has a nice outside area and a little playground. Interesting set up, great patio/balcony area. About 8 – 12 beer flavors and the signature flight and flight of the day are good options. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I’ve never been at a place that made me so mad that I wanted to boycott two establishments. I am not from the area, but come down frequently for work and have visited many friends in the area for almost 30 years. We went to one of TBR’s events to sample some tasty drinks. Unfortunately, they did not have flights, which was disappointing, so I got a pint of one of their beers. It was one-dimensional and too malty, so I decided to try a different beer and went up to the bar. While talking to the bartender, I asked if they recommended any restaurants in the area as we wanted to try somewhere new. They suggested Nobi, and I asked where it was located, and this is where things went in a really strange direction. I guess I’m a moron because I don’t know where the restaurant they suggested was? They seemed annoyed that I didn’t notice the guy standing behind me worked at that restaurant, but in my defense, he was behind me. In lieu of purchasing another pint that I may not like, I just paid the tab and left. These guys were literally screaming at me ‘Draw her a map to Nobi!’ Jeez guys, I have Google maps. Maybe lay off the beer a little? Did not eat at Nobi, although I have heard that it is really good. I will definitely not be giving these guys any more of my money, and I’m not sure I will try Nobi, since this experience has left a… bad taste in my mouth.

Got to meet some of the folks that work there. Great passion for craft beer. I’ve had 5 different beers and would rate all of their beers 4.5(on a scale of 1 – 5, 5 being the best) or better. Walk the line is brewed with Mosiac and they allowed the hop to really shine through. They have a really nice portfolio of beer from hoppy beers, too malt forward, to the pale ales for the beer drinkers that aren’t ready to cross into the craft beer world yet. Small distribution right now but I think they have the potential to be a big player in the future given the quality that’s coming out of the refinery.

Texas Beer Refinery is a local craft beer brewery that offers events a few Saturdays a month. The beer selection offers flavors for the occasional beer drinker(Texas Blonde) to the IPA lovers(Mexican IPA). My favorite beers are the Oktoberfest, Red Neck Red and American Dream. Looking forward to the next two events; November 1st launch of Pumkinstein and the Gumbo cook-off on November 22nd. Check out their website as local bars and restaurants are now carrying TBR.

A new micro brewery has appeared in Galveston County. We went to a open house /tasting party here a while back, complete with live music and a food truck that was out of sight… but that is another story. They have a good selection of the various ales, ipa’s, blonde’s and brown’s but also other blends too. Limited in their distribution area but worth the time to find some. Check their calender for an upcoming event and retail locations.
