We have been to this Korean Tofu House several times. We have not been disappointed each time. We keep returning because their food is very good and prices are very reasonable. We have ordered the combo course every time, because we think it gave us the best value. Aside from the main entrée, you also get to choose a tofu soup from the menu. The tofu soup is slightly smaller than if it was ordered a la carte, but there were plenty to suit my appetite. I ordered the spicy chicken dish as my main entrée. The dish was large comparatively and with very good flavor. The pre-meal condiments were also plentiful and are very good. My only complain would be their services. It was a little slow for my preference. We definitely recommend this restaurant

Horrible service. I called in to place a Togo order and the lady put me on hold right away. I waited patiently on hold because I really wanted some tofu. After 3 mins I decided to just hang up

Great service! Amazing food if you’re looking for a non-ayce kbbq! Such a cute mom and pop shop :)I would definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area looking for some solid Korean food

This is my first Unilocal review and I have to say that I absolutely adore this restaurant. The waitresses here are so nice and helpful and the environment here has a true traditional Korean vibe. This restaurant is so much more than a Tofu BBQ. My mom had Ginseng Chicken Soup and it had a whole chicken with stuffed sticky rice and herbs. I tried some and it was absolutely delicious. The topokki(rice cakes in hot sauce) are a delight as well. I really enjoy their small side dishes too that are free when you order food. I am definitely coming here again!

I had been there twice, the hot tea is pretty cool. I think everyone should try the combo, because you can be full after that, and I love those vegetable serves for us.

I thought that the food here was good. I got the soon seafood and beef soup with beef bulgogi. Boyfriend got the dumpling soon with spicy pork. We didn’t really like the spicy pork that much. It was a lot of food, but I didn’t think it was the best soon soup I’ve had.

This place just like any other Korean tofu house restaurants. I got the seafood tofu pot and it tasted fairly decent, not too blend and flavorful enough. I really like the fact that they have the stone pot rice and that each person gets a fried fish. Service was good. We had a huge party of people and they kind of got confused with our orders but no one blames them because it was during rush hour and the orders were indeed very confusing. Will come back again if I happen to be in the neighborhood.

You get a better deal when you come here for lunch. I got the beef tofu soup with hot stone bowl beef bqq ribs. I like the hot crispy rice on the bottom. It keeps my food hot. The food is great but service is meh that’s why I gave 3 stars. I like all the banchan sides and salad especially the green onion pancake. $ 14 is not bad at all. The sides changes time to time sometimes you get fish during dinner time.

We went there today and was packed because of the New Year. I am not the expert of Korean tofu, but I think it tastes similar to Young Dong Tofu in Diamond Bar. I think their side dishes are better. They use real ceramic plates and not plastic, fresher tasting ingredients and none of those bottom-of-the-jar wilting kimichi’s… The typical Korean server rudeness is still present, but it’s becoming nostalgic for me! I also had the hot stone sanche bibimbap and it similar tasting to Yong Dong. I think the price might be a dollar cheaper overall. Definitely an alternative place to go for those tofu craving days.

They turned me from being a loyal customer to someone that never wants to come back. Ever. Have a one hour lunch break? I don’t suggest Myung Dong because you’ll be getting tea with a side of «stank face»(unless that’s your thing, then you do you, boo). It usually doesn’t take long for us to get seated, order(since we come here so much we know what we want), and get all our food. Service has never been great, but today was just beyond unforgivable. The waitress tried to shove our party of 5 in the back corner of the restaurant that always gets neglected even when there were clearly tables open in the front. Took a table in the front, tried to order, but waitress walked away from us after we asked. About 10 minutes later, we finally get our order in and 25 minutes go by when we finally get some banchan, but no food… 12:40 — still no food. 12:42 — «OMG food is here!» We ask for to go boxes since we obviously can’t scarf hot boiling hot soup down in 10 minutes. This is when the magic happens. Waitress with the cart that has all the food gives us the stink eye not just once, but TWICE! She reluctantly went to pack up the food that took too long to come out, and spent 20 minutes doing it while getting us the check(which we asked for it to be split, but didn’t end up getting split). As they drop the food and check off, I hear the only two waitresses mumbling under their breath in Korean and rolling their eyes. Needless to say, we will not be coming back here ever again. I’m not a fan of the stink eye, especially not for mediocre soon dubu.

My boyfriend and I was craving soup type of soupy food and in particular he was craving tofu soup for some time now and decided he wanted to take me here cause he says you get a bang for your buck, and also cause the food is a lot better than a lot of other tofu houses near by. We both ordered the house special which was tofu pot plus bulgogi or you can change it to chicken. I got the bulgogi and he got the spicy chicken. I love that they cook their meats with mushrooms instead of only onions. I also love the fact that the onions are more on the cooked side compared to other places where it is just completely raw. I got the mushroom tofu soup very extra spicy. It had a very little kick to it, but it was still good. My boyfriend had a sip and nearly died. LOL. He got the dumpling tofu soup and really enjoyed it. The only thing I would say would be that they don’t offer the korean purple rice or like the burnt rice on the side of the stone pots where they cook rice. But none the less, I’d definately come again

Used to come for their tofu soup about 3 – 4 years ago, and this place was at the top of their game, always packed and with a long wait, I noticed it’s no longer as popular and maybe this is due to change of owner the quality of food went down, or simply just too many newer places opened up and took the business. I took mom here for lunch, with a 20% off coupon(yup busy popular places normally don’t offer discounts) . 1. Sea food tofu hot pot — 3⁄5 it was not bad but was just OK, it has shrimp, clams, octopus and tofu not spectacular, and the seafood was almost just there to add flavor to the soup, since they were pretty small in size, tasteless and insignificant in the pot, you really get just a pot of tofu. For lunch they offer this at $ 8.99 it’s cheaper then Yongdong, the soup base taste is similar but I feel it didn’t have too much MSG in the soup, which is good in my book. 2. Spicy chicken Hot pot combo– 2⁄5 I got the seafood tofu pot, so the review is as above, the spicy chicken is too sweet for my taste, but if you like the taste of terriyaki chicken you might like this more then me, the rice is a very thin layer underneath the chicken and it’s very oily, they did that so the rice will be crispy, since the hot stone pot will fry the rice. I didn’t like how oily it was so I didn’t touch the rice, I wish they had put more rice at the bottom so I could at least have some normal rice not soaked in oil with the chicken. 3. Banchan and the free pancake– 2⁄5 they give you kimchi, cucumber kimchi, seaweed, bean spouts, and potatos, I think they are the cheap kind of banchans, the kimchi was OK, the rest were meh, even the pancake was not good at all, definitely had bettet. In contrary to the other reviews about the bad horrible service, the waitress today was very friendly and quick with your request, and she is always smiling, so I gave the service a 4 star, maybe I just lucked out today, really can’t say since I don’t cone to this place enough. This was over all a 3 star experience for me. I would prefer other similar restaurants such as Yongdong(I like the huge pork chops there) but it’s a bit further for me then myongdong, I would not mind to come back here if I crave the tofu soup and too lazy to drive further.

Love this Korean tofu place! It’s my go-to when I’m craving mildly spicy tofu soup on a cold(or even not so cold) day. They give you a bunch of sides, and sometimes even fish or Korean pancake on certain days. They’ve also got a really great house special that lets you choose from your choice of tofu soup and a sizzling plate of BBQ beef or chicken for only $ 11.95, which is a realllllly good deal. I always leave this place feeling satisfied and happy. Docked off one star because the service here can be spotty at best, and rude at worst. But I’m Asian, and grew up going to Asian restaurants, so maybe I’m desensitized to it at this point. Anyway, the point is — service is not so terrible here that it prevents me from being a frequent visitor.

Food is reaally good but their service is crap. Try not to sit in that little room on the side cos theyll most likely just forget about you and never acknowledge your existence

I’ve been to a lot of tofu houses and this place was ok. I had their seafood and beef tofu soup(medium spicy) and it wasn’t very flavorful. In addition, we had their seafood pancake which wasn’t very good. It was slightly undercooked and did not have as many ingredients as typical seafood pancakes do. However, my boyfriend had the bibimbap and that was very good! It had a lot of flavor and meat, and was the highlight of the meal.

As far as Korean food is concerned, this place is the fastest in service and is able to keep up with the crowds of people that come in for lunch. The ban chon is excellent and I just wish they had potato salad included. The rice is served out of the clay pot, so you don’t have to get burned right from the get go, and leaves the pots to pull the harded rice if you are so inclined. As for me, I enjoy chipping the rice off the stone rice bowls because I think I’m a dork for wanting to eat the hard rice mixed with my soup. I make the excuse it’s easier to wash for the dishwasher! As for the main course, stick with the red meat kalbi and and pork dishes; the chicken just did not seem as flavorful as the beef. Make sure you crack the raw egg in the soup as soon as possible, so it cooks up in time for you to get to it. These eggs are super pasteurized, so don’t worry about any bacteria surviving the soup. All in all, a pretty right on Korean restaurant that serves up nice quantities of food at a price of about $ 12.00 for lunch. I’ll have to make it for dinner here after work some day…

Pros: Good and friendly service. The rice is cooked in the stone pot and they scoop it out and serve it to you tableside. No wait on a Weekend night for dinner. Delicious Assortment of banchans. Crispy and delicious seafood pancake. Cons: Spicy Chicken was not spicy at all. It was really sweet. Bulgogi soup was really weird. It was sweet as well. The parking lot is small, but there was ample parking. I would return, but prob stick with ordering the tofu.

I cannot deny the variety of tofu bowl types and combos here, but geez. the service could use some sprucing. My family and I came here near closing time(30 minutes). There was 5 of us in total and we each ordered our own meals: Dumpling Tofu Bowl, Beef Tofu Bowl, Clam Tofu Bowl w/Bulgogi Hot Stone Combo, and 2 Seafood Tofu Bowls while one being w/the spicy pork combo. Twas a big order~ everything was served at a timely pace and tasted expectingly good. However. Throughout the entire time, my family and I couldn’t help but feel rushed by the waitresses; the feeling funked our dining experience. Nice of them to let us in, but rude of them to rush us out. I’ll just leave it at that~

The food here is delicious, but the service here probably is the worse here! Don’t expect the waitresses to acknowledge your request… Tofu soup w/seafood & beef– 4.5÷5: great chunks of seafood pieces and little nuggets of beef! The broth was light and had slight spice to it(mild) Perfect for a cold and rainy day! Seafood pancake– 4⁄5: This fluffy pancake filled with delicious pieces of seafood chunks. I think it could use more seafood as there was quite a bit of fluff in it. Bulgogi– Your typical standard bulgogi(beef) that you get at a Korean restaurant. Nothing special here, but it is food that you can trust. Overall, this place is great restaurant to get your Korean food fix on a cold day! Remember, don’t come here for the service… they will be rude
