Lollicup

My first time coming to Diamond Bar. I had some time left to kill so we drove around and saw Lollicup. Boba time~ I was excited.
As soon as I walked in, I was genuinely confused. It was dark in there. We had no idea if it was open or not. The only lady there working was really rude. I was confused just by being there. She did not bother greeting customers. I overheard the customers saying this is not the right order, etc. It was really just unpleasant being there. I just wanted a boba, but I didn’t even get to order because the lady did not bother to look at us.
I felt really weird being there. I barely leave bad reviews.

I’ve been here a couple of times already. This place is never too busy which is a plus. However, it is a bit dingy. Being that it isn’t meant to be a sit-​down café, I guess it can be overlooked since most will just stop in to get their order and go. Don’t expect anything fancy. I usually just stop in for a milk tea and /​or popcorn chicken. The milk tea boba isn’t bad at all. The popcorn chicken can use a bit more seasoning. It is nice and crispy at least. Staff are nice and friendly. Just a good local place to stop in for a quick snack or drink on the run.

I was wondering why this place had such a horrible rating for being a boba place. After waiting about 25 minutes just for milk tea I figured out why the ratings were so bad.
When we first got to the location there was only one other person in front of us (we were 3). At the time we finished our order, two parties came in right after. The cashier, and only employee at the time, knew one of the customers and started talking to them. You could tell within seconds the employee was getting overwhelmed by all of the sudden orders coming in. My friends and I were still chit chatting, so at that very second we didn’t mind the wait. You could tell the person ahead of us was getting impatient and I’m guessing the employee noticed since he told her it’d be a couple of more minutes.
The worse part is one of the employee’s friends decided to walk into the kitchen and decided to lend a helping hand in the kitchen. He walked into the kitchen about 3 times. The fact that this guy was just a random customer and he kept walking in and out of the kitchen was kind of gross. He obviously did not wash his hands since he would walk directly into the kitchen. I’m not even sure if he worked there or not, but the fact that he was just some random guy prepping the drinks really grossed me out. Is this even sanitary?
More than 10 minutes had gone by and we were starting to get annoyed. Fifteen minutes went by and the guy had JUST finished the order for the person ahead of us. Twenty minutes into our visit I finally asked if our drinks were ready and the employee said, «I called out one of your drinks already, I’m just working on the rest. Sorry» We were seated directly next to the kitchen and we never heard our drink get called. I should mention, two other orders who ordered after us got their order before us. Once the rest of our drinks were done the guy said, «Sorry about the wait, I did upgrade your drinks due to the wait». What upgrade? We all got what we ordered with no change.
I order a tapioca milk tea with boba. Not sure why it’s a tapioca milk tea, if there was no tapioca taste to it. If it were labeled as just a regular milk tea, it’d be good.

The boba here is very hit or miss for me. The majority of time, the boba is bland. On the rare occasions, the boba is nicely sweetened. I love the popcorn chicken here. It’s a decent portion for the price. For drinks, they have an extensive menu to choose from. I usually just stick to a mini boba milk tea. When they don’t have any mini boba, I’ll just get the regular ones

The boba is ok but this review is about job oppurtunities The sign on the Window said hiring but inside no real application so told my son to write on scrape paper name, phone number and hours available but nothing else. He was never called one way or another and today the sign is still there. I walked in and questioned the employee working there but she said my boss only knows what does that mean

This is one of the best boba places I have ever been to! The service here has always been great… People only complain about the service because of the groupons and that’s because they don’t know how to use them! I would always stop by when I had time and pick up the buy one get one half off boba milk teas… Although this place is a bit run down they have been around for such a long time i don’t really mind because it’s more of a express boba shop as well so you don’t really see anything bad unless you stay there and carefully look around… And when you haters complain about how dirty the tables are or how the floors are too sticky it’s because you people don’t have the common curtesy to clean up your own mess and or never tell the workers! The drinks here are quite good compared to ten rens. Because ten rens drinks have this kinda weird fancy taste in it… Anyways, I would suggest you new comers to come try this place yourself! You’ll probably have a better experience compared to the rest of the people who just talk shit about this place straight up.

Drinks:
— peach green tea — can barely taste the peach flavor, just the green tea… its not bad, but its not great either
— Lemon green tea — where is the lemon taste? i couldnt taste anything other than the sweet syrupy sugary on this one.
— passion fruit green tea — the best out of the three i tried. they actually put less sugar on this drink as requested (+1 star). They should have done it on the lemon green tea as well.
— limited toppings (only boba, aloe, egg pudding, and some jelly). No Coffee jelly, which is my favorite topping :(
Price:
— about 3.50 per drink. 49 cents more for upgrade and toppings.
Service:
— I can see why people don’t like this place. I don’t like it either. Its dirty, messy, slow, unfriendly server, and a bit smelly. I dont think they will pass the healthy inspection if they ever had one. Plenty of other boba places in the area with better drinks, cleaner room, faster service, and nicer server. I don’t think I’ll visit this place again.
— they have some deal like buy two for $ 5 on special drinks but again, its just not worth it.
— they accept credit card on order above $ 5.

My brother and I come here often. We usually get Thai ice tea (buy 1 get 1 free). Pretty decent tea for the price. Also try the popcorn chicken: it’s really good and has the right amount of spice level.

The boba is so squishy I like it. I don’t like places that have hard boba. First time I ever tried milk tea boba was here. I love tea now.

This place sucks ass now. Before they were good but now they just got really crappy. First off, they dont make meals anymore (which was really damn good), second, their customer service sucks ass, they give your order away to other people because they dont even look at you when you place your order! And lastly, they take forever making snacks! I encountered a customer who got their drink. It had a broken seal on the bottom of their drink, it was leaking and it wasted a quarter of their drink. The employee didnt give him a new one. She just gave him a empty cup to place his drink over it and that was it. Not even a refund. Horrible. Never again.

Come here for the drinks and popcorn chicken, that’s about it though!

— Some of their food isn’t even ready to cook so even though it’s on the menu it’s not always available.
Personal Thoughts
If you want boba or anything to drink this is one of the better spots, especially since the workers are social and it’s never too busy. Unfortunately if you’re hungry, this probably isn’t the place to go unless all you want is popcorn chicken!

Where do I begin with this review?
1. We walked in and ordered our drinks. I’m sitting and what walks in front of me you ask, a huge roach. Disgusting!!! Wow never again coming!
2. Their service door that leads from the main area to the back is just black with just gunk that has been sitting there in time. It looks like it’s never been cleaned.
3. The floors are sticky and seem to never be cleaned and the overall cleaning is not there.
Someone needs to really look at this place and let them know they need some changes.
Also, I couldn’t seemed to have found their grade letter posted. Seems like they are hiding something. What it is who knows.
I threw the drink away and never will be come back. There are so many other places pick another place.

I love boba and first sampled it over 10 years ago. For those of you who don’t know it’s a small black pearl size ball of tapioca cooked in brown sugar or honey. It’s served in cold chinese tea. My favorite is almond milk tea and this particular Lollicup location has the softest boba around! If the boba is firm it’s no bueno! They also serve a few fried items like popcorn chicken, fish ball, tofu, and tempura calimari. The tofu can get mushy so order it extra crispy.

WORSE PLACE EVER. DO NOT GO HERE. they are the worst people, worse service! We were the only people there and they took 20 minutes to make our drinks! 20! They stood around TALKING! Then when I wanted to use a groupon they were all confused and all stupid! The people that work here are so stupid! STUPID! I hate this place. NEVER COMING BACK!

I would skip this place — a lot of other boba shops around that do the same thing but better.
The Good:
Popcorn Chicken Snack — I’ve always liked theirs
The Bad:
Popcorn Chicken Plate — Comes with rice and some mined beef on top. Also comes with a egg. My egg was semi warm with the center being cold. Bad job heating it up.

This place is pretty sad looking inside, but it was a hot day and I was craving an almond slush and a lot of other tea/​boba places don’t make it. On the plus side, I think they offer a bunch of discounts and deals to draw people in instead of simply renovating or upgrading their space, haha. Lots of drinks are $ 2.25.

I don’t even know why I’ve been here more than once. The drinks aren’t that great, the place itself is tiny and dirty, and the staff most of the time is unfriendly.
I went in today to use a BOGO coupon, and we ordered a thai iced tea and a green tea, only to have the manager rudely tell me I can only use that coupon for 2 of the same drink. Uh, the coupon itself says ‘buy one and get one of lesser or equal value free’ — how is a lesser value possible if you have to get the same drink?
Anyway, I didn’t feel like arguing, so I just saved the coupon and will try it again when there’s someone else working there. Of course, that means I have to go back, so I’m not sure I want to do that.

I luv this place! Always come here for their BEST Thai Tea! They have a special for buy 1 get the other for .55 cents! Great deal and friendly staff!!!

This place needs a remodel BAD. The drinks are quite tasty. However, you have to wait in the tiny, dirty-​looking shop while they prepare your drink. The posters are peeling off the wall and are discolored from age. The blender is loud, they seem understaffed, and there is always an older chinese man sitting on the corner watching the worker and the customers.
The younger Asian cashier girl is friendly and fast. She has to take orders, collect money, and make all the drinks! Talk about multi-​tasking.
Also, there are lots of great deals for boba, including 2-​for-​1 milk teas and slushies (must be same drink) and Groupon deals.

Compared to other boba places, it’s not great. However, compared to other boba places in the price range, such as Quickly, Lollicup is definitely better. This one always has specials, like 2 boba milk teas for $ 3.50 or buy one get one thai tea. Also, it’s 10% off for Crunch members. I go for the Groupon, which makes it less than $ 1 per milk tea when Groupon has coupons. It’s amazing. The popcorn chicken is legit, except the quality varies a bit.
I do hate that they don’t put prices up on the main menu, although I wouldn’t get most of the other drinks unless there’s a deal anyway. The inside is small, with maybe 2 tables.
