The Caesar salad is NOT a Caesar salad. The chicken lemon rice soup, while flavorful is the consistency of snot. The waitress is LOUDLOUDLOUD.

It was an ok experience, not the best i ever had but it was good. When i got my onion rings they were hot and crunchy. The waitress was nice to me and my friends(considering that we range in age from 16 – 17 that lady was really kind). Personally i don’t get why people are complaining then again i wasn’t there so i’m not going to pass judgment. To finish it was the type of place you’d expect it to be quite.

Small diner atmosphere. Like a small Denny’s they serve breakfast anytime. Good food and the waitress was very nice. They get slammed when conventions are going on at the COBO. I had the double cheese burger and it was pretty good. The chili fries were a little scary though. Everyone else had food that looked great.

Thank goodness I found a place that was open on Saturday morning for breakfast. I was afraid when I saw the only other options within walking distance were a subway and a $$$ hotel restaurant. Got two omelettes with hash browns and toast to go. The food, while nothing special, was good for diner faire and more than welcome on a freezing detroit morning.

what an adorable little place in downtown detroit :) my sister & i came in this morning and were greeted by a beautiful smile and a warm welcome :) we ordered from the breakfast menu — i got the breakfast wrap that had hash browns, cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon wrapped inside of a large flour tortilla: p delicious! my sister got a breakfast sandwich on a muffin that had egg, cheese and sausage and she said it was good too! we enjoyed the theme which was set to the 50’s, they were playing cool music, and our server was wonderful :) she came by a few times to make sure we were enjoying our meal and to see if we needed anything. what i was«most» disappointed about was that the other customers were such poor tippers when she gave such good service! there is an open air rooftop where you can choose to eat your meal outside if you wish and get a view of people in detroit going about their daily business. i’m also sorry to see that people gave this nice little place not the best reviews :(they have a sign out front that says«under new management» so perhaps these reviews were written before the sign was made, not sure. what i am sure about is that i’ll be back!

Ok. Not horrible. Good prices. Good service. I sat down and ordered a bowl of chicken noodle and the chicken schwarma. The food just wasn’t all that good. The chicken noodle soup was okay. The chicken schwarma had large slices of pickle on it. I don’t know if this is normal, but I don’t recall ever getting huge slices of pickle on my schwarma. Wasn’t expecting it. Wasn’t a fan. Was still hungry when I finished that so I ordered a cup of the chicken lemon rice. Heavy on the lemon/sour flavor. Very thick. Just wasn’t that good overall. My server was really nice and attentive and that’s why I’m giving it two stars, but if I’m in the neighborhood again, I’ll probably be looking elsewhere.

I can’t speak to the food, or prices, because I didn’t get that far in my dining experience before walking out. In fact, I was there hardly 2 – 3 minutes. No need to speak of specifics, but when we entered a woman met us at the door and harshly demanded that we get in the door NOW. We were confused, but continued. Then, while waiting in line, the woman at the register was rude to the family in front of my wife and I. When it was our turn to order, she was extremely rude to both of us. So much so that I told her we didn’t enjoy being treated that way, to which she responded with a grunt and an eye-roll. We walked out and it took all my strength to not throw that old bag the bird as we did. Stay away.

50’s themed diner. Would be great in warmer weather since they have a patio and music outside. The woman at the counter wasn’t rude but seemed less than enthusiased. I ordered a grilled cheese, they were out of white bread but not big deal to me. Place looked really clean. Chicken noodle soup was excellent. I would return.

This place is serve yourself, meaning you walk up to the counter to order, grab your own drink, then wait and the food gets delivered to the table. Prices were on the high side for the portion size. Food quality was abysmal. My corned beef sandwich had a few slices of what could best be called corned fat. The rye bread seemed like it was just stale regular bread. My sister got a lame looking greek salad and my dad’s Chicago style hot dog had a chopped pickle, chopped tomatoes, no relish, no celery salt. looked bad and tasted the same. Walk a block and find something better, because it doesn’t get much worse,

Surprisingly adequate! Cute little ’50’s themed diner in the 211 W Fort building. There is access from Congress, too, via a set of clearly marked stairs near the building’s loading dock. They also have an outdoor seating area with table umbrellas that looks out on COBO hall. I ordered a simple BLT with extra crispy bacon, and cup of chicken noodle soup, and they did both well! And they were nice! WOW. I am so regularly disappointed by the quality of the food and the poor customer service in the dining options available in the Detroit metro area, so it’s refreshing to be able to grab a quick bite for lunch and actually enjoy it – even if it is only a simple BLT. Hope it’s just as good next time!
